We’re looking at a ranking of 2024 win total projections for all four AFC North teams

The Ravens (13-4) were the No. 1 seed in the AFC and had a first-round bye after navigating one of the NFL’s most demanding schedules.

With a first-place finish in 2023, the schedule will only get even more complicated, and after the late Sunday afternoon games, we have some unofficial idea of what the 2024 slate will look like.

Baltimore will play nine games on the road, eight at M&T Bank Stadium.

The schedule will be highlighted by matchups against their AFC North foes (Steelers, Bengals, Browns), the NFC East, AFC West, the AFC South champ, the NFC South champ, and the AFC East champion.

The league uses multiple factors to determine the year’s game schedule.

There’s a cycle of inter-conference faceoffs; each NFC division rotates through each AFC division every four seasons and the other NFC divisions every three seasons.

In addition, where a team finishes within their division dictates a same-finish matchup with one team from the opposite conference and whichever divisions aren’t in the rotation for that season.

Offering an early glimpse into where the Ravens could finish this season, we’re looking at total win projection for all four AFC North squads.

The Ravens are 4-2, and if the postseason started today, Baltimore would be the No. 3 overall seed in the AFC, and they’d host a playoff game.

John Harbaugh’s team will play six more games before a late season, Week 13 bye, and they could be one of the NFL’s hottest teams down the stretch.

The Baltimore Ravens’ opponents for their 2023 season have been set for months, but many have been awaiting the release of their full schedule. One game on Baltimore’s slate got released early, as they’ll be traveling abroad to play the Tennessee Titans in Week 6.

At 8pm on Thursday night, the Ravens’ full schedule was released, with plenty of intrigue surrounding the timing of each matchup. Baltimore will have four prime-time games, and will play three of their first five games on the road against their division

Every prime time NFL game featuring former Georgia football players

After the release of the 2020 NFL schedule, here’s a look at every prime-time game that former Georgia football players will appear in.

On Thursday, the NFL released its 2020 schedule, providing more optimism that a football season will take place come September.

With Georgia having added seven new players into the league via the NFL Draft, there’s going to be a number of UGA fans hoping for a chance to watch some former Dawgs play on prime-time television.

The Patriots, Cowboys, Chiefs, Packers, 49ers, Rams and Buccaneers will be featured most in prime time during the 2020 NFL season with five games apiece.

Georgia players on those teams:

Cowboys, Packers and Bucs do not have any Bulldogs.

Patriots: C David Andrews, RB Sony Michel, OL Isaiah Wynn

Chiefs: WR Mecole Hardman

49ers: TE Charlie Woerner

The Baltimore Ravens (10-2) head to Buffalo to face a 9-3 Bills squad on Sunday afternoon. Baltimore leads the all-time series 5-3, including a 47-3 blowout last season. Good news for Buffalo though, the two times these teams met in New York (2007 and 2013), both resulted in wins for the home team.

We may have witnessed a preview of the Super Bowl this past weekend when the Ravens and 49ers squared-off. Baltimore was able to edge out San Francisco 20-17 despite some terrible weather conditions. Lamar Jackson didn’t have his best game passing going 14 of 25 for 101 yards and one touchdown, but it didn’t matter. Jackson picked up where he left off in the run game with 16 carries for 101 yards and another score. This year, he’s totaled 977 yards rushing and will most certainly break the 1,000-yard barrier against the Bills. To put his numbers in perspective, he is ranked ninth in rushing in all of the NFL. Kyler Murray is the next best quarterback on the list with 446 yards. Jackson is a highlight reel waiting to happen and has teamed with Mark Ingram in the backfield to give the Ravens the best rushing attack in the league and second-best offense.

Jackson is a difference-maker, but the Baltimore defense is playing lights out lately. Against the 49ers, it recorded two sacks and limited Jimmy Garoppolo to 165 yards and one touchdown.  Raheem Mostert was able to run the ball efficiently on the defense with 19 carries for 146 yards, and one touchdown. The Ravens are fifth in points allowed (18.2) and sixth in rushing yards allowed (94.2 YPG). Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen isn’t afraid to run the ball or hand off to running backs Devin Singletary or Frank Gore. The defense’s ability to stop the run will be key in this game.

What a difference a year makes. Buffalo was 6-10 last year and is now 9-3 and hot on the heels of the New England Patriots in the AFC East. The Bills have won three in a row, including a 26-15 win over the Cowboys on Thanksgiving. Josh Allen accounted for 274 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns, while Devin Singletary posted 101 total yards and one touchdown. Cole Beasley led the team with six catches for 110 yards and one touchdown against his former team. It marked the first 100+ yard receiving game of the season for Beasley.

The game plan is simple defensively. Stop Lamar Jackson and the Ravens running game. How the team is able to execute it is a different story. Buffalo was able to sack quarterback Dak Prescott four times, two of those coming from rookie Ed Oliver, and force an interception. The defense ranks third in total defense with opponents averaging 300.1 YPG and will face arguably their biggest test of the year this weekend.
