Everything you need to know to follow Florida basketball vs Georgia

The Georgia Bulldogs shocked the No. 20 Missouri Tigers in their last outing, so the Florida Gators need to beware of their bite.

Gameday has arrived with the Florida Gators men’s basketball team scheduled to host the Georgia Bulldogs in Gainesville on Saturday afternoon as the two schools start wrapping up their regular-season Southeastern Conference schedule.

UF comes in limping after two straight losses separated by a 13-day COVID layoff which has put a damper on their NCAA Tournament hopes with four games left — and three remaining to be rescheduled. Florida (10-6, 6-5 SEC) needs to go on a run heading into March if it wants quality seeding in both the conference and national championship tournament.

As it currently stands, UGA is on the outside looking in on the March Madness picture, and though their overall record is perfectly mediocre, Georgia (13-8, 6-8 SEC) has struggled in league play. The Dawgs shocked the No. 20 Missouri Tigers in their last outing, so Florida needs to beware of their bite.

Tipoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. EST in the O’Connell Center, Gainesville, Florida, and will be broadcast on the SEC Network, livestreamed on the ESPN app and can be heard on the Gators Sports Network.
