Who is going to win each of the other 2024 NBA Playoffs series being played around the league right now? The Boston Celtics and Miami Heat are going at it in the first round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs. But there are seven other series being played at the moment, and at least some of those ball clubs are likely to end up facing the Celtics in a future round of the 2024 postseason ahead.

The host of the CLNS Media “Dome Theory” podcast, Bobby Manning, sat down with guests Nate Spurlin and Dan Scott check in on each NBA Playoffs series in progress after 1 or 2 games and discussed who they think will win.

While it remains unclear why the Celtics did not adjust, and whether that decision was the fault of Joe Mazzulla and the rest of the team’s coaching staff or the players simply freelancing, one thing is unambiguous. While he may be an all-time great of the Boston Celtics‘ oldest and greatest rivals, Los Angeles Lakers legend Michael Cooper was a critical part of the Celtics’ battles with Los Angeles in the 1980s. And Boston’s greatness can’t be appreciated without him!

So it ought to come as no surprise that Celtics beat writer emeritus Bob Ryan of the CLNS Media “Bob Ryan, Jeff Goodman, and Gary Tanguay” podcast was happy to see Cooper finally get the nod for the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame for this year’s induction class.

The Boston Celtics let their fans down with a mediocre effort against the Miami Heat in Game 2 of their first round series, the level of urgency reminiscent of a mid-December tilt of little consequence.

Attacking the Celtics with a relentless assault from deep on one end, and denying the use of Kristaps Porzingis as a ‘safety valve’ on the other, Boston has given Miami life by not understanding the gravity of the moment yet again. But rather than dwell (too much) on the loss, the hosts of the CLNS Media “Celtics Lab” podcast convened postgame to talk through what Boston can do better in Game 3.

Will we see an uptick in intensity from the Boston Celtics in Game 2 vs. the Miami Heat on Wednesday (April 24)? In Game 1 of their NBA Eastern Conference first round series, the Heat were especially physical, including a moving screen from Heat big man Bam Adebayo and a questionable attempt by Miami wing Caleb Martin to attack the cup.

The former sent Boston guard Derrick White sprawling, and the latter nearly hurt star Celtics forward Jayson Tatum. That both escaped relatively unscathed is a miracle. That a fight did not break out is even more impressive for both ball clubs.
