2024 projected win totals for each NFC East team

We’re looking at a ranking of all four NFC East teams including the Philadelphia Eagles by 2024 win total predictions

We’re about 40 days from the 2024 NFL schedule reveal, but the world and Eagles fans already know who their opponents will be.

The league uses multiple factors to determine the year’s game schedule.

There’s a cycle of inter-conference faceoffs; each NFC division rotates through each AFC division every four seasons and the other NFC divisions every three seasons.

In addition, where a team finishes within their division dictates a same-finish matchup with one team from the opposite conference and whichever divisions aren’t in the rotation for that season.

Philadelphia previously had one of the more difficult schedules over the past two years, but 2024 will see the Eagles among the top ten easiest schedules based on win-loss percentages from last year.

Offering an early glimpse into where the Eagles could finish this season, DraftKings revealed a 2024 win total prediction for all 32 teams, and Philadelphia landed at No. 6 on the list.

Here’s where all four NFC East teams are projected to land.

NFL plans on playing 2 games on Christmas this coming season

Lord knows that there isn’t enough #content in the world, so the NFL will be giving us some extra helpings on the biggest holiday of the year.

Lord knows that there isn’t enough #content in the world, so the NFL will be giving us some extra helpings on the biggest holiday of the year.

One of the many headlines coming out of the league meetings in Orlando is that the league will once again be playing games on Christmas – in fact there will be two games. The catch is that this year the holiday falls on Wednesday.

In an ideal world, the four teams who will be forced to play that day won’t have to do so on either the Sunday before or the Sunday after their Christmas games – but to give the NFL the benefit of the doubt there would be willfully ignorant. Compared to profits player safety is extremely low on their list of priorities. Hopefully the Seahawks won’t be one of them.

Broncos will face these opponents in 2024 NFL season

Before the schedule is announced in May, here is a look at the Broncos’ opponents for the 2024 NFL season.

Welcome to the NFL offseason.

We do not have the Denver Broncos’ 2024 schedule yet (that will arrive in May), but we do know all of the team’s opponents.

Intriguing matchups on the team’s schedule will include tough road matchups against the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals, plus coach Sean Payton’s return to Louisiana to face his old team, the New Orleans Saints.

After going 8-9 in his first season with the Broncos in 2023, Payton will aim to get Denver back into the playoff hunt in 2024. The Broncos have not returned to the postseason since they won Super Bowl 50 in 2015.

Here’s a look at the team’s list of 2024 opponents.

Home Away
Kansas City Chiefs Kansas City Chiefs
Las Vegas Raiders Las Vegas Raiders
Los Angeles Chargers Los Angeles Chargers
Cleveland Browns Baltimore Ravens
Pittsburgh Steelers New Orleans Saints
Atlanta Falcons Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Carolina Panthers Cincinnati Bengals
Indianapolis Colts New York Jets
Seattle Seahawks

Broncos among candidates to play in NFL’s 2024 season opener

The Broncos are among eight candidates to face the Chiefs in the NFL’s 2024 season opener.

As the defending Super Bowl champions from the 2023 season, the Kansas City Chiefs are now set to host the NFL’s season opener in 2024.

The Chiefs’ list of eight home opponents in 2024 obviously includes the AFC West. That puts the Denver Broncos among the candidates to travel to Kansas City in Week 1.

The Broncos just snapped a 16-game losing streak to the Chiefs last season, defeating their division rival 24-9 in late October. But the NFL will probably view other opponents on KC’s schedule as more intriguing candidates for the opener.

In addition to the Justin Herbert-led Los Angeles Chargers, the Chiefs will also host teams including the Baltimore Ravens (and 2023 NFL MVP Lamar Jackson), the Houston Texans (and young star C.J. Stroud), and the Cincinnati Bengals (and Joe Burrow) in 2024. Burrow is 3-1 against Kansas City in his career, including a 1-1 record in the playoffs.

Russell Wilson is facing an uncertain future in Denver and the Broncos are unlikely to have a QB matchup more intriguing than Jackson, Burrow or Stroud to face off against Mahomes in Week 1. Denver is a candidate for the opener, but probably not a favorite. Here’s the full list of teams the Chiefs are set to host during the 2024 NFL season.

Ranking all 32 NFL teams (including the Eagles) by 2024 strength of schedule

We’re ranking all 32 NFL teams by their 2024 strength of schedule ahead of the offseason and NFL draft

We’re about 100 days from the 2024 NFL schedule reveal, but the world and Eagles fans already know who their opponents will be.

The league uses multiple factors in determining the year schedule of games.

Offering an early glimpse into where the Eagles could finish this season, here’s how Philadelphia’s 17-game slate for 2024 stacks up to the rest of the league, in February.

Washington Commanders 2024 opponents officially set

Washington’s opponents are set for 2024. The schedule will be released in May, but here is a list of the Commanders’ opponents for next season.

The Washington Commanders wrapped up the 2023 NFL season on Sunday with a 38-10 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. It was Washington’s eighth consecutive loss as the Commanders finished 4-13 and will pick No. 2 overall in the 2024 NFL draft.

This will be a busy offseason for Washington. New owner Josh Harris is expected to move on from head coach Ron Rivera. Additionally, Harris will also hire a new general manager, giving the Commanders a more traditional power structure, something they haven’t employed since before Daniel Snyder moved on from Charley Casserly in 1999.

Washington has around $75 million in salary-cap room, with the ability to create more room, three of the top 40 picks in the NFL draft, and six of the top 102 selections. If the Commanders make the right hires, they have a chance for a quick turnaround in 2024.

Washington finished last in the NFC East in what feels like an annual event. That means the Commanders will have a last-place schedule in 2024. With the season complete, we now know who Washington’s opponents will be in 2024.

Here’s a look at the teams the Commanders will play next season.

Date and time announced for Chargers-Chiefs Week 18 matchup

The Chargers will close out the season at home against the Chiefs.

The date, time and television network have officially been announced for the Chargers’ Week 18 game against the Chiefs.

The two teams will kick things off from SoFi Stadium at 1:25 pm PT on Sunday, Jan. 7. The game will be broadcast on CBS.

Los Angeles enters this contest with a 5-11 record and currently holds the No. 6 overall selection in the 2024 NFL draft.

Kansas City comes into this game having just secured the AFC West title for the eighth consecutive season. They are 10-6.

NFL announces Week 18 schedule and it has major NFC East implications

The Week 18 schedule is out. There are multiple spots still to be decided, including who wins the NFC East.

Once the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers went final on Sunday Night Football and Week 17 was in the books, the NFL released the schedule for Week 18.

There are several playoff scenarios still in play around the NFL. Some divisions are still up for grabs, as are some wild-card berths. In the AFC, three playoff spots are still available heading into Week 18. In the NFC, two spots are remaining.

There are also division battles remaining, one of which is in the NFC East. The Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles sit atop the NFC East with an 11-5 record. Both have already clinched playoff berths but are now competing for the No. 2 seed behind top-seeded San Francisco.

Let’s review the Week 18 schedule and how it impacts the NFC playoff race.

Vikings vs. Lions set for noon kickoff on Sunday

The Vikings and Lions will kick off in an all too familiar spot on Sunday afternoon

At the conclusion of the Sunday Night Football game, the broadcast team announced the schedule for the final week of the NFL season. In a move that should come as no surprise to Minnesota Vikings fans after the loss to the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota was given the early afternoon block for their season-ending game against the Detroit Lions.

The NFL leaves the last week of the season’s schedule open so they can have as many important games in primetime spots as possible. Had the Vikings been able to win on Sunday night against the Packers, they would have had a chance to be in the late afternoon slot, as they would still have likely been in a win-and-you’re-in scenario.

With the loss, the NFL schedule makers have opted to give those prime viewing spots to more relevant games. The Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens are the first game of the week, with the Steelers still in the hunt in the AFC playoff picture. That game is followed on Saturday night by the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts, playing for a chance to take home the AFC South crown

The late window on Sunday has a number of playoff-relevant matchups, including the Packers-Bears game, which thanks to the Packers win puts them in the ‘win and you’re in’ scenario Minnesota would have been in. The season wraps up on Sunday Night with the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins playing for the AFC East crown.
