BetMGM’s odds for 2022 NCAA men’s basketball championship

Who cuts down the nets next April?

College basketball season wrapped less than a week ago and we’re already set with odds on who will cut down the nets early next April.

Like Baylor to repeat?

Will Gonzaga finally get over the hump?

Or will the Big Ten finally win their first championship since Mateen Cleaves and Michigan State won it all back in 2000?

Here’s a look at the ACC and some of the other favorites in the initial NCAA Basketball national championship odds for 2022, courtesy of BetMGM, The King of Sportsbooks:

BetMGM: NCAA championship odds for tonight

Who do you have cutting down the nets tonight?

After Baylor cruised to victory over Houston and Gonzaga won an all-time thriller against UCLA, the men’s basketball national championship will be decided tonight in Indianapolis.

The two combined to go an absurd 58-2 before tonight’s game as Gonzaga is trying to become the first team to finish a season undefeated since Bob Knight led the Indiana Hoosiers to that accomplishment in 1975-76.

Who has the upper edge and do we have another classic awaiting us tonight after the epic battle Saturday?

Here are the latest national championship game odds courtesy of BetMGM, The King of Sportsbooks:

The line:  Gonzaga -4.5
Total:  159.5
Moneylines:  Gonzaga -200, Baylor +165

We saw one-half of the teams that’ll make the Final Four punch their tickets on Monday night as Houston and Baylor both won their regional final games to move on to college basketball’s grandest stage.

Now the final two teams to join them will punch their tickets Tuesday night as Gonzaga takes on USC and Michigan plays UCLA for the right to advance.

BetMGM: Irish sizeable underdog to North Carolina

Can Notre Dame pull off an upset to keep their season alive this evening?

Notre Dame needed all of the heroics to get by Wake Forest in the first round of the 2021 ACC Tournament, Tuesday night in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Now they’ll need a little luck of the Irish on their side as they take on the North Carolina Tar Heels, who are seeded sixth.

When Notre Dame and North Carolina square off Wednesday night, the Irish will be a significant underdog against the likely NCAA Tournament-bound Tar Heels.

Here is how BetMGM, The King of Sportsbooks  sees has this one:

Spread: North Carolina -7.5 vs. Notre Dame
Total: 150.5
Moneylines: North Carolina -350, Notre Dame +260

The winner of Wednesday night’s contest moves on to face third-seeded Virginia Tech on Thursday night in the quarterfinals.

Notre Dame home favorite vs. Miami on BetMGM

Happy Valentine’s Day – Notre Dame faces Miami on Sunday night. Can the Irish do what the sports books expect them to do?

Notre Dame basketball has had an interesting year in that they have road wins at both Kentucky and Duke but enter Sunday night’s contest against Miami at 8-10 overall and 5-7 in ACC play.

A win over the Hurricanes would get the Irish within a game of .500 in conference play, something that seemed next to impossible when they started the campaign 0-5 in ACC play.

Notre Dame will be a considerable favorite when the ball tips against Miami in South Bend at 6:00 p.m. ET tonight.

Here is how BetMGM, The King of Sportsbooks  sees has this one:

Spread: Notre Dame -7.5 vs. Miami
Total: 140.5
Moneylines: Notre Dame -350, Miami +260
