Gators land in identical spots in latest college basketball transfer rankings

ESPN’s latest transfer rankings didn’t change the standing of any incoming or outgoing Florida players.

ESPN has released an update to its offseason college basketball transfer rankings, but nothing was actually updated in terms of Florida players. They all find themselves ranked in the exact same spot as they were in the previous update, both incoming and outgoing players, alike.

Myreon Jones, a guard from Penn State, continues to top the rankings as far as Florida prospects go. He remains the No. 45 overall transfer, just ahead of Noah Locke, who ranks No. 47 after deciding to head to Louisville for his final season.

Boston College forward C.J. Felder ranks No. 65, followed by Charleston Southern guard Phlandrous Fleming at No. 68. Both are taking advantage of the COVID-19 one-time transfer policy to join the Gators this fall.

The list is topped off by Missouri-Kansas City guard Brandon McKissic, who is trying his hand at the big time after winning his conference’s Defensive Player of the Year Award last year, and forward Omar Payne, who’s heading to Illinois after two years with the Gators. They rank No. 79 and 80, respectively.

If nothing else, the sheer number of Florida players listed here shows that the team will look a lot different in 2021-22. The talent will be there, but coach Mike White will have a difficult task ahead of him in getting those pieces to gel together.
