Browns Podcast: Favorite prospects for Cleveland in the 2024 NFL draft

These prospects would be great fits

The 2024 NFL draft is finally here as the festivities kick off Thursday in Detroit. Cleveland Browns fans will have to wait an extra day, of course, since the team won’t pick until the second round because of the Deshaun Watson trade. But have no fear, Browns fans, as there are plenty of good players that will still be available.

Andrew Berry has shown a knack for drafting corners, and there is always a chance he does it again, maybe drafting a press man corner such as Renardo Green from Florida State. It’s also a great offensive tackle class, and someone with all the physical traits that could grow into a great player is Yale’s Kiran Amegadjie. Cleveland is finally a team that can draft guys and let them develop with the roster as good as it is.

The team could use another tight end, and guys like Ben Sinnott, Ja’Tavion Sanders, and Jared Wiley could make a ton of sense. You can hear us talk about all these prospects and more in this week’s podcast by clicking here.

Detroit Lions Podcast: Countdown to the draft and uniform reveal episode

The Detroit Lions Podcast breaks down the new uniforms and the path to the 2024 NFL draft entering the final week

It’s a very busy time in the offseason for the Detroit Lions. With the 2024 NFL draft coming up in Detroit in less than a week and a new uniform revelation, the team is keeping fans with a lot to talk about in mid-April.

The latest episode of the Detroit Lions Podcast breaks down the path to the draft for the Lions, including some ideas on how GM Brad Holmes might attack the draft. Holmes also spoke to the media this week, and we covered a lot of the key points from Holmes’ “lone wolf” presser.

The new uniforms are out after much fanfare. It’s a well-received change for the Lions, from the incorporation of the new black uniform to the improved vibrancy of the blue color and the more readable font.

PODCAST: 2024 Cardinals draft preview – linebackers and safeties

Jess Root and Seth Cox discuss the linebackers and the safeties to know for the Cardinals in the 2024 draft.

This edition of the podcast covers perhaps the 2024 NFL draft’s two weakest positions and two positions that appears to have the lowest roster priority in this phase of the offseason.

Cohost Seth Cox and I discuss the off-ball linebackers and the safeties to know in the draft for the Cardinals in this edition of the podcast.

When it comes to the Cardinals’ three first selections, two in the first round and one early in the second, linebacker and safety are not going to be the selections, that is, unless you consider Iowa defensive back Cooper DeJean a safety.

Still left to come up in our draft preview series are the defensive line, edge defenders and cornerbacks.

Watch: 5 players the Lions shouldn’t draft in 2024

Watch: 5 players the Lions shouldn’t draft in 2024 from Lions Wire’s Jeff Risdon

We talk a lot about the players we want the Detroit Lions to pick, or prospects we think the team might actually select later this month in the 2024 NFL draft. This time around, we’re going over five prospects that sometimes get projected to the Lions that I don’t want Detroit GM Brad Holmes to draft.

In conjunction with the Detroit Lions Podcast, I laid out five realistic prospects for the Lions that I am not interested in drafting. Of course, that doesn’t mean they’re not good prospects and won’t become good NFL players, but there are concerns about each—be it injury history, inexperience or fit with this Lions regime—that makes me want to look elsewhere.

PODCAST: Pat Tillman’s legacy, Pat’s Race and the Pat Tillman Foundation with Howards Balzer

Howard Balzer joins the podcast with Jess Root to talk about what he learned in a recent interview with Tillman’s brother-in-law Alex Garwood.

In an extra edition of the podcast this week, Cards Wire deputy editor Howard Balzer joined me on the podcast to talk about Pat Tillman.

This weekend is the 20th Pat’s Run and later this month it will be the 20th anniversary of when Tillman was killed in action in Afghanistan.

We talk about what Balzer learned from interviewing Tillman’s brother-in-law Alex Garwood, who is also the co-founder of the Pat Tillman Foundation, on SiriusXM’s Hall of Fame Radio, and from recently talking to former Cardinals head coach Dave McGinnis.
