The 2023 NFL season kicks off this weekend and the Minnesota Vikings open against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, September 10th at noon central.

When we take a look at the Vikings in 2023, there are multiple angles to look at. They certainly aren’t going to go undefeated in one-score games like they did going 11-0 in the 2022 regular season. That is the biggest talking point among analysts, but they also don’t talk about that same regression going positive.

The Minnesota Vikings have now completed the preseason with three losses after an 18-17 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

The Vikings didn’t play any of their starters in the final preseason game, nor did some second-string players. The players who saw the bulk of the snaps against the Cardinals were those that are on the roster bubble trying to make the team.

The final 53-man roster needs to be set by 3 pm on Tuesday, August 29th. For those who are going to be put on either they Physically Unable to Perform or Injured Reserve lists to return, they will need to be on the first rendition of the roster.

The first day of training camp practice revealed a lot, including Justin Jefferson being focused on the Super Bowl writes @jzulgad.

The Vikings opened training camp practice on Wednesday at TCO Performance Center without pass-rusher extraordinaire Danielle Hunter. According to Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell, Hunter has reported to camp but isn’t taking part in practice.

Unhappy that he is set to make a well-below-market value of $5.5 million this season, Hunter is staging what is known as a “hold-in.” That means he isn’t holding out, but he also isn’t practicing and, thus, isn’t being fined $50,000 per day for staying away.
