WATCH: Anthony Duruji posterizes Hokies defender with massive dunk

Florida’s transfer from Louisiana Tech landed a monster dunk at the beginning of overtime against the Virginia Tech Hokies in the 1st round.

Florida’s 2021 NCAA Tournament first-round game against Virginia Tech on Friday went into overtime after a hard-fought first 40 minutes of play, which saw both a gruesome injury and a clutch block before the end of regulation. But the excitement and intensity did not end there.

Early in overtime, with Scottie Lewis running the pick and roll from the ballhandler position, forward Anthony Duruji set a high screen above the top of the key that Lewis dribbled off of and got the defense to commit to, after which he split the defenders with a pass to his roll man, who finished the play with a monster dunk and the foul.

Here is a look at the play.

The transfer forward from Lousiana Tech finished with five points and nine rebounds to help his team to a 75-70 win, allowing the Gators to advance to the next round.
