Streaming tips for Clemson fans ahead of March Madness

Fans of March Madness will have more streaming choices than ever before this year.

Fans of March Madness will have more streaming choices than ever before this year.

Thanks to TNT Sports’ sister streaming platform Max (formerly HBOMAX), streaming this year’s NCAA Tournament will be an option for those without traditional cable or popular live streaming services such as YouTube TV and Hulu + Live.

Max, via its B/R Sports add-on, will offer subscribers live streams of NCAA Tournament games that are selected for broadcast on TNT, TBS, and truTV — the latter of which will televise Clemson’s first-round matchup against New Mexico Friday.

The Tigers and Lobos are scheduled for a 3:10 p.m. EDT tipoff from Memphis’ FedExForum. Spero Dedes, Jim Spanarkel and Jon Rothstein will have the call of the game for truTV.

truTV and TNT will combine to broadcast 25 games total — 13 on truTV and 12 on TNT. TBS will broadcast 21 games. Those combined 46 games will be available via the Max app on both smartphones and other smart devices. The Final Four, as well as the national championship game on April 8, will be televised by TBS.

CBS will broadcast 21 games. Games televised by CBS will not be available for streaming on the Max app, however. Viewers looking for CBS games can still find them via the network’s streaming partner Paramount+, which recently streamed CBS’ coverage of Super Bowl LVIII.

Next year, part of the NCAA Tournament will be shown for the first time on the new, yet-to-be-named joint venture streaming service that will combine TNT Sports (formerly Turner Sports), ESPN, and Fox Sports.

That streaming service — often referred to as “Spulu” in many online circles — will still exclude CBS broadcasts, which aren’t involved in the TNT/ESPN/Fox alliance. The joint venture between TNT, ESPN and Fox is scheduled to debut this fall.

The NCAA also offers streaming of the tournament via its March Madness Live app or NCAA.com.

Live audio

Fans that are in the car or on the go and want to be able to listen to NCAA Tournament radio broadcasts can do so with a subscription to SiriusXM satellite radio, which offers complete play-by-play of all tournament games.

Clemson vs. New Mexico will be broadcast on SiriusXM channel 202 Friday. Full channel assignments are available at siriusxm.com/sports.

SiriusXM broadcasts the tournament via the NCAA’s national radio feed, Westwood One. Fans hoping to listen to team-specific broadcasts, like those that air on the Clemson Athletic Network, will have to tune in to their local radio affiliate or visit an affiliate’s official website.

Penn State vs Maryland men’s basketball: How to watch on TV and live stream on Sunday

Penn State looks for a win in their final home game of the season

Penn State men’s basketball is looking to avoid limping into the Big Ten Tournament after dropping their last two games. The Nittany Lions welcome in the Maryland Terrapins on Sunday evening, hoping to keep hold of the Big Ten Tournament’s No. 11 seed and possibly move up a seed line if other games fall Penn State’s way.

Maryland sits right behind Penn State in conference standings, making the matchup that much more impactful.

It is senior night in Happy Valley, and the Nittany Lions will honor seven seniors, including players like [autotag]Ace Baldwin Jr.[/autotag], [autotag]Qudas Wuhab[/autotag], and [autotag]Puff Johnson[/autotag].

Baldwin Jr. looks like the frontrunner for Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year. He leads the Big Ten and ranks fourth in the country in steals (83) and fifth in the country in steals per game (2.77). His 2.77 steals per game rank second amongst Power Six conference players and track to be the most by a Big Ten player in a single season in the last 31 years (since 1993 – Pat Baldwin (Northwestern) 2.96 steals per game).

Baldwin Jr.’s defensive matchup this evening will be Maryland star guard Jahmir Young, who leads the Terps, scoring 20.9 points per game and 28 points in the two program’s matchup earlier this season.

A win would mark nine conference wins for the Nittany Lions under first-year head coach [autotag]Mike Rhoades[/autotag] and would give Penn State a much-needed boost entering the Big Ten Tournament.

Clemson vs. Wake Forest: Where to Watch/Stream/Listen

Clemson can lock up a double bye in the ACC Tournament this weekend when it travels to Winston-Salem to take on Wake Forest in the regular season finale for both teams at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

Clemson can lock up a double bye in the ACC Tournament when it travels to Winston-Salem to take on Wake Forest in the regular season finale for both teams at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum Saturday.

The Tigers (21-9 overall) come into the weekend fourth in ACC standings. They’re tied with Pitt at 11-8 in conference play, but a tiebreaker would belong to Clemson since the team swept both games against the Panthers this season, including 69-62 on Feb. 27 at Littlejohn Coliseum.

A win by the Tigers would cap an 8-2 finish to the regular season after a rough 3-6 start against ACC opponents at the start of January.

In Tuesday’s 90-75 victory over Syracuse on Senior Night, Clemson got big nights from its seniors: 25 points from PJ Hall and 21 from Joe Girard. Chase Hunter added 17 points, and junior Ian Schieffelin tallied 16 points with 16 rebounds as the Tigers got a balanced effort on offense and defense.

With the NCAA Tournament looming, Clemson has been on the upswing in recent March Madness and bracketology forecasts. ESPN’s Joe Lunardi has Clemson as a No. 5 seed in his latest tournament projections while CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm sees Clemson as a No. 6 seed.

Facing the Tigers is a Wake Forest team that has fallen flat since its 83-79 home victory over Duke two weekends ago. The game ended in a controversial court storming with Duke center Kyle Filipowski suffering an injury.

Since beating Duke, the Demon Deacons (18-12, 10-9) have lost three straight, all to mid- to lower-tier ACC competition: Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, and most recently Georgia Tech. That fall has taken Wake Forest as a team on the NCAA bubble to being an afterthought in NCAA Tournament projections.

Georgia Tech’s Baye Ndongo made a game-winning shot with 0.4 seconds left in a crushing Wake Forest loss on Tuesday. The game was the first home loss of the season for Wake, which was led by Hunter Sallis’ 22 points.

Series History and Recent History

Wake Forest leads the all-time head to head series with Clemson, 101-66, but Brad Brownell has compiled a 15-4 record against the Demon Deacons in his 13 seasons as Tigers head coach. Wake Forest is Clemson’s second most common opponent in school history behind North Carolina. The Tigers have won four of the past six meetings against the ‘Deacs’ dating back to 2020.

Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament: Broadcast and stream info for Penn State vs. Iowa

Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes are the only things standing in the way of a Penn State Big Ten Tournament semifinal berth.

The Lady Lions are moving on to the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament after defeating the Wisconsin Badgers Thursday evening. Penn State will now have to go up against Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes on Friday evening with a semifinal berth on the line.

Last time out against Iowa, Penn State could not slow down the Iowa offense, and the Hawkeyes exploded for 111 points. Hannah Stuelke scored 47 points, while Clark added her usual 27 points. The Lady Lion’s big problem was giving the Hawkeyes easy points from the free-throw line.

Penn State hopes their more disciplined defense from yesterday evening will carry over into tonight against one of the country’s more potent units. The Lady Lions only sent the Badgers 16 times while holding them to a measly 35% shooting from the field and 23% from 3-point range.

For a team that ranks fifth in the country in three-point percentage, the Lady Lions were only 6-22 from the 3-point line against Wisconsin. That percentage must improve against Iowa to pull off the upset against the Big Ten’s number two team.

In the two programs’ matchup in early February, we saw that Penn State’s offense can hang with Iowa, but its defense needs to improve to slow down Clark and the Hawkeyes.
