BREAKING: Florida basketball’s game against Texas A&M postponed

Florida won’t face the Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday as previously planned due to positive tests within the TAMU’s program.

The Gators will be out of action for the third game in a row, as its scheduled contest against Texas A&M on Saturday has been postponed due to positive tests and the quarantining of sick or exposed individuals within the Aggies team.

Florida’s last two games against LSU and Tennessee were both postponed due to an apparent outbreak of COVID-19, and TAMU had its last game against Georgia postponed due to its own outbreak. It would appear the Aggies aren’t yet over that outbreak.

No date has been set to make up the postponed conference games, and it’s unclear how the Gators will be able to complete a full-length conference schedule in time for the SEC Tournament now, assuming conference tournaments go on as planned.

UF’s next scheduled game comes against Arkansas on the road on Tuesday, and assuming the Gators have moved past their own outbreak, that game should be able to continue as planned. But for now, Florida will have to wait another few days to try to bounce back from its loss to South Carolina in the previous outing.
