Watch Andy Isabella’s 74-yard catch and run!

Isabella made a statement in his final preseason game to make the roster again.

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Andy Isabella is making a statement in the team’s final preseason game. Battling to make the final roster, he is having the game of his life.

The Cardinals took a 17-16 lead in the third quarter and Isabella set up the touchdown to take the lead.

He took a second-down pass and went 74 yards, dodging would-be tacklers and outrunning almost everyone, getting tackled at the two-yard line.

At that point in the game, he had five catches for 115 yards, making his best case to make the team again.

WATCH: Rookie LB Cameron Thomas gets first sack

Hopefully this is the first of many sacks this year and in his career.

The Arizona Cardinals must find pass-rushing production with the departure of Chandler Jones, the team’s franchise all-time sack leader, this coming season.

They drafted three players to play the edge. The first was Cameron Thomas, a third-round pick out of San Diego State.

He picked up his first sack of the preseason on Saturday against the Tennessee Titans.

On second-and-12, he beat the right tackle and maintained pursuit as Titans quarterback Malik Willis moved to his left. He got him and tackled him for a three-yard loss.

It won’t count toward his stats in his career, but hopefully it is the first of many sacks this year and in the years to come.

How to watch, stream, listen to Cardinals vs. Titans in preseason finale

The Cardinals and Titans face each other in their preseason finale. Here is how you can watch, stream or listen to the game.

The Arizona Cardinals close out their slate of three preseason games with a road game Saturday night against the Tennessee Titans. Both teams are 1-1 in the preseason and they participated in a joint practice on Wednesday.

The Cardinals will not play their starters, with the exception of perhaps guards Will Hernandez and Cody Ford, sitting in for an injured Justin Pugh, and second-year defensive players Zaven Collins and Marco Wilson.

Trace McSorley will start at quarterback for the Cardinals for the third straight game. Quarterback Kyler Murray has called plays in the fourth quarter of the first two preseason contests for Arizona and that probably means he will again in this game.

It is a big game for young players trying to make the roster. It gives players the opportunity to show their abilities to their current team and to the 31 other teams in the league.

Kliff Kingsbury unsure whether Marco Wilson, Zaven Collins will play in preseason finale

The Cardinals will decide Friday whether their young expected starters will play against the Titans.

Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury has held out almost all his starters from preseason games, but two expected starters have gotten playing time.

Second-year linebacker Zaven Collins and second-year cornerback Marco Wilson have gotten early playing time in both preseason games.

The plan was to give them lots of training camp reps and more game experience.

That might change in the preseason finale. Kingsbury was not sure on Thursday whether they will play.

“It will be a game-time decision,” he told reporters after their walkthrough. “We’ll see how that goes, but we won’t know till tomorrow.”

It sounded like he was leaning toward playing them.

“(I) just want to continue to get those young players playing,” he said. “The more football they can play, the better. We’ll talk about it.”

The Cardinals and Titans kick off Saturday at 4 p.m. Arizona time.

New OL Cody Ford to play in Cardinals’ preseason finale

The Cardinals want to get Ford comfortable and reps in a game setting.

The Arizona Cardinals have one final preseason game this weekend as they take on the Tennessee Titans on the road Saturday evening. As they have this preseason, they do not plan on playing their starters, except for a select few young players.

That also includes a new addition.

The Cardinals acquired offensive lineman Cody Ford from the Buffalo Bills in exchange for a 2023 fifth-round draft pick and it is because they have depth issues on the offensive line.

He lined up at left guard with the first-team offensive in place of Justin Pugh, who has a neck injury, for the team’s joint practice with the Titans on Wednesday.

Because he is new to the team, he is expected to play in the game on Saturday.

“We want to get him a comfort level playing in our system and just how we operate and the tempo of things,” head coach Kliff Kingsbury told reporters Thursday. “So I expect him to play a little bit.”

It is how they have handled Will Hernandez, new to the team. As he was new to the system, coming in as a free agent this offseason, he got all the training camp reps and played in the first preseason game for a lot of snaps. He got hurt so he missed the game last weekend.

There appears to be a possibility that Ford will be a starter in Week 1. If that is the case, it will be good to get Ford as many snaps as they can.
