Podcast: Discussing win over Colts, Jags ‘Khlownout’ movement, coaching search

The latest episode of “Bleav in the Jags” reviewed what was a crazy week for the Jags.

The Jacksonville Jaguars 2021 season has reached its conclusion, and it was a disappointment for even those who had low expectations. However, it did end on a high note as the Jags were victorious over the Indianapolis Colts by a shocking score of 26-11.

The game shocked many, especially when considering the Colts needed a win over the league’s worst team to make the postseason, and as fans saw in the last episode of “Hard Knocks,” Indy has some team evaluations to do. However, Trevor Lawrence started the game hot and couldn’t be slowed all that much, which presented a big problem for the Colts from the start.

Now with the season over, the hard work won’t stop for the Jags as they have a coaching vacancy to fill. They also could have an issue at general manager depending on who the coach is. Both Phil Smith and James Johnson discussed all these topics and more in the final episode of the “Bleav in the Jags” Podcast.

PODCAST: Discussing the aftermath of Urban Meyer’s firing, potential HC candidates for Jags

The firing of Urban Meyer was only the beginning of a wild stretch of days for the Jags. In the latest episode of “Bleav in the Jags” we discussed the aftermath and looked ahead for replacements for Meyer.

The Jacksonville Jaguars were the hottest topic of last week after firing coach Urban Meyer, but things continued to get crazy after his firing. Rick Stroud, who wrote the story about Meyer allegedly kicking Josh Lambo, joined the Rich Eisen Show and claimed that Meyer’s lawyers came to him with a threatening letter.

Then a few days later, Meyer offered an apology to the city of Jacksonville for not being able to get the job done. In the apology, he also mentioned how much more “fragile” the key figures of football organizations have gotten.

These topics, of course, gave Jags Wire’s James Johnson and Phil Smith a ton to address in the latest episode of “Bleav in the Jags.” The duo also looked ahead and singled out some options that would be good candidates to replace Meyer.

Episode 98 of “Bleav in the Jags” was action packed as we discussed the lack of help Trevor Lawrence is receiving on offense and the improved play of Tyson Campbell. We also talked Rams with @bigchaunc64.

Another regular season game is in the books for the Jacksonville Jaguars, and unfortunately, the team added another one to the loss column Sunday after falling to the Atlanta Falcons by a score of 21-14.

On offense, the top takeaway was the noticeable lack of talent around quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Then on defense, the two discussed how much rookie cornerback Tyson Campbell has improved over the last few weeks.

Afterward, as always, James and Phil previewed the Jags’ Week 13 opponents in the Los Angeles Rams. Podcast: Jags Wire, Seahawks Wire preview Week 8’s game

We chopped it up with Tim Weaver of @TheSeahawksWire earlier this week and got a little intel on the team as they are currently without Russell Wilson.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have made their trip across the country to Washington and will take the field against the Seattle Seahawks Sunday afternoon. It’s a game that could end up being one of the more interesting ones of Week 8 as the Seahawks will be without Russell Wilson, which gives the Jags a better shot than they initially had.

To preview the game, Jags Wire linked up with Seahawks Wire‘s Tim Weaver  to learn a bit more about the 2-5 Seahawks in the latest episode of “Bleav in Jags.” Specifically, we asked how Wilson’s backup, Geno Smith, has fared, what’s led to the organization becoming more of an offensive team than defensive, Darrell Bevell’s past in Seattle, and much more.

Podcast: Week 4 review, looking ahead to Week 5 with ‘Bleav in Titans’ podcast

After a crazy week within the Jags football community, “Bleav in the Jags” has you covered with their weekly review and preview of Week 5.

The Jacksonville Jaguars fell to 0-4 last week due to a primetime loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, but little did they know, that wouldn’t be the last of their problems for the week. In addition to the loss, head coach Urban Meyer went viral for a bar situation and his story (in addition to the loss) made the last 10 days one of the most exhausting that Jags fans have endured in a while.

The whole process was reviewed by James Johnson and Phil Smith on episode 89 of “Bleav in the Jags.” They discussed it all from whether or not winning Week 5 would help Meyer’s situation, why Shad Khan is unlikely to move on from the first-year head coach, and more surrounding his actions. Afterward, they reviewed the Thursday night loss to the Bengals and assess the positives and negatives to take from it.

Lastly, the duo linked up with the “Bleav in the Titans” podcast to preview Week 5’s game with former Titans defensive backs Denard Walker and Davey Hudson of Fox Sport Knoxville. Among the topics discussed were the factors that led to the Titans falling to the New York Jets, the Titans’ offseason additions, the expectations for the team, and much more.
