We’re looking at the Philadelphia Eagles updated 76 man roster as the offseason workout program gets underway

The Eagles are back at the NovaCare Complex as the offseason program begins for 76 select veterans and second-year players.

The nine-week training program has three phases: one mandatory minicamp for the entire roster and one rookie minicamp for each group.

Phase One consists of the first two weeks of the program, with activities limited to meetings, strength and conditioning, and physical rehabilitation only.

Phase Two consists of the next three weeks of the program with on-field workouts, which may include individual or group instruction.

Phase Three consists of the next four weeks of the program, during which teams may conduct ten days of organized team practice activities, or “OTAs.”

No live contact is permitted, but 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills are allowed.

The Eagles are changing their offseason program, including adding a mandatory minicamp for the first time under Nick Sirianni. They will have 7 OTAs (May 20, May 22-23, May 28, May 30-31) and three days of mandatory minicamp (June 4-6). In 2022 and 2023, they had six total OTAs.

With the workouts and on-field training underway, we’re looking at Philadelphia’s updated 76-player roster ahead of next week’s NFL draft.

Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Fletcher Cox officially announces his retirement from the NFL after 12 seasons

Fletcher Cox had been enjoying his offseason amid speculation that he and Jason Kelce were set to retire as members of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Cox gave Kelce the stage first, allowing the All-Pro center to exit with an emotional press conference in front of family and friends.

Cox returned to the NovaCare Complex for his official retirement announcement.

Cox, 33, played 12 NFL seasons after the Eagles selected him in the first round of the 2012 draft.

In 2023, Cox produced 33 tackles, five sacks, 17 quarterback hits, and three tackles for loss, remaining a steady force as an interior pass rusher.

Cox made the Pro Bowl every season from 2015 to 2020 and re-signed with Philadelphia last offseason on a one-year, $10 million deal.

Cox will exit with 348 solo tackles, 164 assists, 69.5 sacks, and 14 fumble recoveries. He has been selected to six Pro Bowls and has won a Super Bowl.

Saturday afternoon, Kelce, along with former teammate and fellow Eagles legend Fletcher Cox, took to the mound before the Phillies faced the Atlanta Braves. The duo threw out the ceremonial first pitch (or pitches in this case) with Kyle Schwarber and Bryce Harper set to receive.

After the pitch, Harper got an autograph from Kelce right there on the field. Perfection.

The offseason is in full swing, particularly for the Philadelphia Eagles, who have already made several roster and coaching moves this spring. Eagles GM Howie Roseman started free agency with a bang, agreeing to deals with Saquon Barkley (RB) and Bryce Huff (DE) while retaining Josh Sweat and punter Braden Mann. Philadelphia then signed Landon Dickerson to a monster contract extension and C.J. Gardner-Johnson to a three-year deal. The Eagles made Landon Dickerson the NFL’s highest-paid guard. But which Landon Dickerson are they getting?

The Philadelphia Eagles have dealt with the loss in retirement of two stalwarts on their lines — center Jason Kelce and defensive tackle Fletcher Cox — and now, general manager Howie Roseman is doing what he can to keep the rest of the band back together. Per Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Eagles have re-signed left guard Landon Dickerson to a new contract that fattens his wallet to an historic degree.

The Eagles selected Dickerson with the 37th overall pick in the 2021 draft out of Alabama, and Dickerson did have some rough moments last season in a Philly offensive line that underperformed overall. Dickerson allowed five sacks and 38 total pressures, after allowing three sacks and 40 total pressures combined in his first two seasons. Multiple injuries affected his efficiency, so that’s something to watch for in his future.

Another of the Philadelphia Eagles’ longtime stars is retiring.

Following Jason Kelce’s announcement that he is calling it a career, star defensive lineman Fletcher Cox on Sunday took to Instagram to announce he is retiring.

Cox was drafted out of Mississippi State and spent his entire 12-year career with Philadelphia.

He had 70 sacks in his NFL career and started 182 of the 188 games he played.
