Taylor Swift fans think 1 lyric from The Alchemy is about shirtless Jason Kelce

This Taylor Swift lyric could really be about Jason Kelce … right?

We’re all 99 percent sure that The Alchemy — the new Taylor Swift song from The Tortured Poets Department — is about Travis Kelce, with all kinds of winks and references to the Kansas City Chiefs tight end who also happens to be her boyfriend.

But what if there’s a shoutout in the lyrics to another Kelce? Specifically: what if it’s about Jason Kelce?

“Shirts off and your friends lift you up over their heads,” she sings. Now, that could be a painting of a typical athlete who wins something and gets carried. But the “shirts off” reference — along with “beer stickin’ to the floor” — has fans convinced it’s about Jason Kelce, who went shirtless to cheer on Travis in Buffalo earlier this year while consuming beer. Hmm!

Cam Jurgens says Eagles gave him Jason Kelce’s old locker

The Philadelphia Eagles put Cam Jurgens into Jason Kelce’s old locker at the NovaCare Complex after the All-Pro retired this offseason

Nothing says the Cam Jurgens era is officially here like the Eagles moving his locker into Jason Kelce’s old locker stall.

While meeting with the media on Wednesday, Jurgens told the press that the equipment crew moved his stuff into Kelce’s old stall, but he didn’t notice until he struggled to find his old locker.

If lockers dictate who’ll be a starter, second-year offensive guard Tyler Steen assumed Jurgen’s old stall.

Jurgens is athletic and powerful, putting his potential as a center on display as a rookie during the 2022 preseason.

Kelce hand-picked him as his eventual replacement two drafts ago.

Jurgens was stout in the running game but had some issues with pass protection. In 2023, Jurgens allowed no sacks and gave up 22 QB pressures. In 2023, Kelce allowed only 11 pressures despite playing nearly twice as many snaps.

Jurgens’s 63.0 PFF grade ranked 29th out of all NFL guards.

Eagles updated 76-player roster as 2024 offseason program gets underway

We’re looking at the Philadelphia Eagles updated 76 man roster as the offseason workout program gets underway

The Eagles are back at the NovaCare Complex as the offseason program begins for 76 select veterans and second-year players.

The nine-week training program has three phases: one mandatory minicamp for the entire roster and one rookie minicamp for each group.

Phase One consists of the first two weeks of the program, with activities limited to meetings, strength and conditioning, and physical rehabilitation only.

Phase Two consists of the next three weeks of the program with on-field workouts, which may include individual or group instruction.

Phase Three consists of the next four weeks of the program, during which teams may conduct ten days of organized team practice activities, or “OTAs.”

No live contact is permitted, but 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills are allowed.

The Eagles are changing their offseason program, including adding a mandatory minicamp for the first time under Nick Sirianni. They will have 7 OTAs (May 20, May 22-23, May 28, May 30-31) and three days of mandatory minicamp (June 4-6). In 2022 and 2023, they had six total OTAs.

With the workouts and on-field training underway, we’re looking at Philadelphia’s updated 76-player roster ahead of next week’s NFL draft.

Will Taylor Swift show up for Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast live show?

This would just be the coolest.

Admittedly, this feels like a longshot. But let’s play this out for just a second.

Thursday gives us a treat: after the latest taped episode of the New Heights podcast with Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce, we’re getting a bonus edition with the New Heights live show at the University of Cincinnati, although it was moved into Fifth-Third Arena indoors (see below) due to inclement weather.

There have been special guests that we know have been announced like Bengals teammates Joe Burrow and Orlando Brown Jr. But … could Taylor Swift be one of those guests? After all, she’s not on tour at the moment.

For what it’s worth, an article on the university’s site says “don’t count on it.”

So … we’ll see. I highly doubt she would show up to this, but you never know!

Eagles’ DT Fletcher Cox officially announces his retirement from the NFL after 12 seasons

Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Fletcher Cox officially announces his retirement from the NFL after 12 seasons

Fletcher Cox had been enjoying his offseason amid speculation that he and Jason Kelce were set to retire as members of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Cox gave Kelce the stage first, allowing the All-Pro center to exit with an emotional press conference in front of family and friends.

Cox returned to the NovaCare Complex for his official retirement announcement.

Cox, 33, played 12 NFL seasons after the Eagles selected him in the first round of the 2012 draft.

In 2023, Cox produced 33 tackles, five sacks, 17 quarterback hits, and three tackles for loss, remaining a steady force as an interior pass rusher.

Cox made the Pro Bowl every season from 2015 to 2020 and re-signed with Philadelphia last offseason on a one-year, $10 million deal.

Cox will exit with 348 solo tackles, 164 assists, 69.5 sacks, and 14 fumble recoveries. He has been selected to six Pro Bowls and has won a Super Bowl.

Chiefs OL Trey Smith made an appearance at the first night of WrestleMania XL

Kansas City #Chiefs offensive lineman Trey Smith made an appearance at WrestleMania XL on Saturday

The Kansas City Chiefs are making their mark not only on the football field but also in professional wrestling. Starting guard Trey Smith was a special guest of the WWE on the first night of WrestleMania XL on Saturday to reflect on a dark moment from the aftermath of last season’s Super Bowl championship.

The fatal shooting at the Chiefs’ Super Bowl LVIII victory parade was devastating. During the tragedy, the Chiefs offensive lineman recounted his heroic story of protecting a young fan.

“This little boy was with his father and was a little hysterical; he’s just panicked. He’s scared. He doesn’t know what’s going on,” said Smith during his interview with “Good Morning America.” “I had the WWE belt on me the entire parade. I was thinking, ‘What can I do to help him out?’ I handed him the belt like, ‘Hey buddy, you’re the champion. No one’s gonna hurt you. Don’t worry. No one’s gonna hurt you, man. We got your back.’ We just started talking about wrestling.”

Smith was at ringside on Saturday alongside his biggest fan, Joey Borgonzi, and spoke with Tom Rinaldi about bringing their story to wrestling’s biggest event.

“Hey, man, I’m getting goosebumps being here,” Smith said. “Think about being a little kid watching wrestling growing up. It’s really special. You know, last time we came to Philadelphia, my rookie year, we had a great day for the Chiefs, so it’s really cool being here today, especially with my buddy Joey.”

Smith smiled at the prospect of becoming a wrestler after football. He didn’t have to look far for an example, as recently retired Eagles legend Jason Kelce and teammate Lane Johnson appeared at WrestleMania, interfering in a match later in the show.

Jason Kelce, Lane Johnson of Eagles do WrestleMania 40 run-in

The Eagles’ Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson had a role in the first night of WrestleMania

It was a home game for Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson of the Philadelphia Eagles’ offensive line for years on Saturday.

Not football, but WrestleMania 40.

The pair donned Eagles wrestling masks and helped Rey Mysterio and Andrade win their tag-team match.

Check it out as Kelce and Johnson hop the rail and interfere.

They posed with WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H.

WATCH: Aaron Donald says Jason Kelce, Eagles scheme gave him the most trouble

Former Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald told Chris Long and The Green Light Gang that Jason Kelce gave him the most problems

Los Angeles Rams 8-time All-Pro defensive tackle Aaron Donald recently announced his retirement after ten seasons in the NFL.

Donald will join Jason Kelce and Fletcher Cox as potential 2029 Pro Football Hall of Fame nominees.

“I have been fortunate to play football at the highest level for ten years. I’m thankful for the people I’ve met along the way, the relationships I’ve built, and the things I’ve accomplished with my teammates and individually,” Donald said in a lengthy statement in which he thanked both the cities of St. Louis and Los Angeles.

Donald walks away with 10 Pro Bowl selections, eight first-team All-Pro honors, three AP Defensive Player of the Year awards, a Super Bowl ring, and a place on the Pro Football Hall of Fame All-Decade Team of the 2010s.

During a recent interview on the Green Light With Chris Long Podcast, Donald was asked which offensive line or individual player has given him the most problems over his career.

Donald wasted no time naming Kelce and the Eagles’ scheme for always game-planning and assigning multiple players to him.

Donald had five solo tackles and five assists in 5 games against the Eagles.

Joe Burrow to appear on ‘New Heights’ podcast with Travis, Jason Kelce

Joe Burrow’s going to be the special guest at UC for this event.

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow doesn’t make a ton of appearances, but he’s usually good for at least one offseason podcast when he’s not prepping for the upcoming season.

This year, it appears that possible one-off podcast will happen with Travis and Jason Kelce.

Thursday, the “New Heights” podcast revealed that Burrow will be the special guest on the April 11 edition from the University of Cincinnati’s Nippert Stadium. The Bearcats and the podcast shared ticket information for the event.

Given the rivalry between Burrow’s Bengals and Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs over the last few years, the event should be a pretty interesting one for NFL fans across the board.

Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that WWE has reached out to Jason Kelce about participating in WrestleMania 40, which will take place at’ Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia

Lane Johnson is the one Eagles player who could have a future in professional wrestling, but it’s Jason Kelce who’s been invited to play a role in the biggest sporting event of the year.

Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp reported on Tuesday that WWE officials have contacted Kelce about a potential role in WrestleMania 40, which will take place at the Eagles’ Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Saturday and Sunday.

The legendary Eagles center has been working to lose weight amid his retirement, and the beloved sports figure would make an already hyped event that much more electric.

Kelce would join George Kittle, Rob Gronkowski, Lawrence Taylor, Reggie White, Steve “Mongo” McMichael, and William “The Refrigerator” Perry as former NFL players to leap.
