Four 2021 UGA recruits end ranked as 5-stars

The Georgia Bulldogs have the No. 3 recruiting class in the country featuring four five-star recruits.

The Georgia Bulldogs have the No. 3 recruiting class in the country according to 247Sports. Georgia’s class of 2021 is a special group that features four five-star recruits: Amarius Mims, Smael Mondon, Nyland Green and Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins.

It touts the 14th-ranked recruit, massive offensive tackle Amarius Mims. Mims is an in-state recruit who played at Bleckley County High School. He has the talent to start right away, but Georgia is returning a lot of offensive line talent under Matt Luke.

Nyland Green, one of Georgia’s most recent additions to the class of 2021, finished the year rated as the No. 18 prospect in the country. Green will have a chance to play immediately because Georgia lost several cornerbacks this offseason.

Defensive tackle Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins is the top player from the state of South Carolina. The five-star recruit check in as the No. 19 player in the nation and the No. 2 defensive tackle. He dominated at Gaffney High School.

Lastly, five-star outside linebacker Smael Mondon is ranked as the No. 20 recruit in the country. Mondon is fast and versatile. The in-state prospect joins a loaded Georgia Bulldogs linebacker core.

Georgia quarterback signee Brock Vandagriff notably missed out on five-star status. He finishes the year rated as the No. 33 prospect and the top ranked four-star recruit. Most other services have Vandagriff ranked as a five-star, so this will give him motivation.

UGA football in top two for RB Amari Daniels

Amari Daniels, a class of 2021 running back, is planning on committing to either the University of Georgia or Texas A&M.

The Georgia Bulldogs are looking to add a talented running back to their class of 2021. Will three-star running back Amari Daniels be the next great University of Georgia running back?

Daniels is five-foot-eight and weighs in at 194 pounds. Though he’s shorter, that’s often beneficial to running backs, who become harder to find behind the line of scrimmage. Daniels is from Miami, Florida and plays high school football at Miami Central High School. Daniels is a versatile back.

A long line of incredible running backs have played at Miami Central including: Willis McGahee, Devonta Freeman, and Dalvin Cook. Daniels will have a chance to be the next great one out of Miami Central.

Nations No. 1 PF, Georgia native Jabari Smith to announce commitment Friday

Jabari Smith of Tyrone, Georgia is set to make his college decision this Friday, choosing between UGA, Auburn, LSU, UNC and Georgia Tech.

5-star power forward Jabari Smith is set to commit between Georgia, Auburn, LSU, Georgia Tech and UNC on Friday, according to reports by TiptonEdits and later  confirmed by ESPN.

Smith is rated as the No. 1 power forward and the No. 1 recruit in the state of Georgia in the 2021 recruiting class, according to 247Sports.

Georgia basketball coach Tom Crean has experience in keeping star basketball players in-state and signing them to play for the Bulldogs.

Possible 2020 NBA No. 1 overall pick Anthony Edwards did just that for the Bulldogs last year when the Atlanta native signed with Georgia and was named SEC Freshman of the Year in his one season with the Bulldogs.

247Sports currently predicts Smith will sign with Auburn.

The Georgia Bulldogs made the top five schools for Jayden Thomas. Thomas is a four-star receiver who plays high school football at Pace Academy. He’s from Atlanta, Georgia, and is a member of the class of 2021. Now, Thomas is ready to make his commitment.

Pace Academy is a bit of a University of Georgia pipeline high school. Georgia has recruited talented players Andrew Thomas and Jamaree Salyer from Pace Academy.

Jayden Thomas announced his commitment date via Twitter:

In case you can’t see the tweet, Thomas will be committing Oct. 2. That is a special day for him because it is his grandma’s birthday.

At 6 feet, 1 inch, 200 pounds, Thomas has solid size. He will decide between UGA, Notre Dame, Penn State, Michigan and Arkansas.

Kirby Smart and Georgia have 15 commitments in the class of 2021. Thomas would be a great addition to the class. Can UGA persuade the four-star to stay in the Peach State?

Kirby Smart and the Dawgs have secured three straight elite recruiting classes. Look for the class of 2021 to be no different. Georgia has two wide receiver commitments: Adonai Mitchell, who flipped from Ole Miss, and Jackson Meeks.

2021 4-star safety Terrion Arnold ( John Paul II Catholic High School) from Tallahassee, Florida has confirmed that he will be releasing his top schools this Friday, per his Twitter account.

The Under Armor All-American prospect is rated as the No. 10 player in Florida, the No. 2 safety and the No. 85 prospect overall in the 2021 recruiting class, according to 247Sports.

247Sports wrote:

“One of the more complete defensive back prospects in a loaded 2021 class for the Sunshine State. Should sign with a Top 25 program and develop into an all-conference type player. Potential is there to play on Sundays.”

As one of the elite defensive back prospects for 2021, Arnold has plenty of interest from some of the top programs in the country.

He holds 44 offers, including ones from Alabama, Florida State and Florida – who are rumored to be in the lead to sign Arnold as of now.

We’ve seen Georgia coach Kirby Smart pull talented guys from Florida before, so check back in Friday to see if Georgia makes Arnold’s top schools.

 

 

Nation’s top JUCO CB commits to Georgia football for 2021

Great start to the week for Georgia football as De’Jahn Warren, JUCO’s No. 1 cornerback for the class of 2021, commits to the Bulldogs.

That makes 14 commitments so far in the Bulldogs 2021 recruiting class and the first from JUCO.

Warren made his commitment in a video posted through his Twitter account Monday morning.

His top schools were Oklahoma, Alabama, Tennessee, Maryland, Penn State, Florida State and Georgia.

Warren plays for Lackawanna Community College where he is rated as the No. 2 JUCO prospect overall, the No. 1 JUCO cornerback and the No. 1 player in Maryland, according to 247Sports composite rankings.

That makes three defensive backs added to the Bulldogs’ 2021 class.

David Daniel, Javon Bullard and now Warren are set to join a Georgia secondary that will soon feature even more new faces as guys like Eric Stokes, Tyson Campbell and Richard Lecounte inevitably move on to the NFL.

I guess Mondays aren’t always bad! Earlier this afternoon, 4-star tight end Brock Bowers announced, through his Twitter account, his commitment to the University of Georgia.

From Napa High School, Bowers (6-foot-4, 225 pounds) is rated as the No. 3 tight end, the No. 11 player in California and the No. 92 prospect overall – according to 247Sports Composite.

The Bulldogs are getting a man amongst boys in Bowers, and he will obviously continue to grow before his arrival in Athens.

And even though he is a bigger guy, his speed doesn’t suffer. Bowers has a verified forty yard dash of 4.55 seconds, which is elite speed at the tight end position on any level.

4-star DE Jahvaree Ritzie includes Georgia football in top-five

The number 10 DE in the 2021 recruiting class Jahvaree Ritzie has announced his top 5 schools.

4-star class of 2021 defensive end Jahvaree Ritzie has announced his top five schools, including Georgia in that five.

His top five includes Georgia, UNC, Ohio State, South Carolina and Tennessee.

Ritzie, who stands at 6-foot-4, 274 pounds is the No. 10 strong side defensive end in the nation for his class and No. 7 in the state of North Carolina.

He ranks as the nation’s No. 160 overall player.

Ritzie is from Kernersville, North Carolina, where he attends Glenn High School.

The Georgia Bulldogs made the top four of elite wide receiver Agiye Hall, but it wasn’t enough. Hall committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Hall is a four-star prospect who plays high school football at IMG Academy. He has good size at 6’3″.

Hall announced his top four schools: Georgia, Arizona State, LSU, and Alabama via Twitter in March. Hall re-opened his recruitment to all schools, but rolled with the Crimson Tide in the end.

Agiye Hall trains and plays at an elite high school football program in IMG Academy. He is a solid route runner. Look at this route to demonstrate his abilities:

Hall doesn’t tip his route very much and gains lots of separation in this case. He should be a playmaker for Alabama fro years to come. He’s a great commitment for Nick Saban and the always loaded Crimson Tide.

Despite a dead period in recruiting, players are still making commitments. Kirby Smart and Georgia have recently seen a couple of commits of their own. Georgia additionally has several other wide receiver targets in the class of 2021.
