Bouie and more than 20 Texas A&M Aggies entered the transfer portal this offseason. Texas A&M finished the class of 2022 recruiting cycle with one of the best recruiting classes of all time, but the Aggies and Jimbo Fisher had a disappointing 5-7 season. As a result, Texas A&M is seeing a large portion of its roster enter the transfer portal.

4-star LB Damon Wilson names top schools

Four-star linebacker recruit Damon Wilson plays football for Venice High School

Four-star class of 2023 linebacker recruit Damon Wilson named his top five schools ahead of his final high school football season. Wilson plays for Venice High School in Venice, Florida.

The 6-foot-4, 230-pound edge rusher won the 8A state championship in Florida this past season. He made a clutch interception in the state title game.

Wilson has also participated on the school’s weight lifting team. Impressively, Wilson recorded 15 sacks during the 2021 high school football season and was named as the Herald-Tribune Defensive Player of the Year, per 247Sports.

Who are Wilson’s top five schools?

Will massive four-star DT Jamaal Jarret chose Georgia football?

Jamaal Jarret (6-foot-6, 350 pounds) is a MAJOR target for the Dawgs. Commitment decision comes July 19…

One of the nation’s top defensive tackles, Jamaal Jarret, has Georgia football among his top-3 schools, including the Bulldogs, North Carolina and Auburn.

Standing 6-foot-6, 350 pounds as a rising senior, Jarret’s frame and motor make him one of the top defensive targets in the entire 2023 class.

Jarret, out of Grimsley High School in Greensboro, N.C., will be committing on July 19.

Some liken Jarret to a former Georgia defensive lineman from North Carolina with a similar frame – 2022 NFL first-round draft pick Jordan Davis.

We got a chance to see first hand how UGA’s defense could use a player like that in its scheme last season. Davis walked away with the 2021 Outland Trophy and Chuck Bednarik Award.

Will Jarrett chose Georgia?

The Bulldogs may have solidified themselves as the top defensive line developers in all of college football in its national championship season after producing three first-round picks this spring, including the No. 1 overall pick Travon Walker.

You can thank defensive line coach Trey Scott for some impressive efforts there.

Returning star Jalen Carter is listed by most experts as a top-3 pick in 2023, so it seems UGA’s reign on the defensive line will continue into Jarret’s freshman year next fall.

With North Carolina and Auburn’s coaches on the hot-seat headed into this season, the stability, development and toughness Georgia’s defense is known for has to be an intriguing pull for the Dawgs.

Jarret spoke on his recent visit to Athens last week.

“It was one of the best ones I have had yet, he said. “It was just awesome, man. Great experience. I am definitely going to go back for a game.”

UGA even brought in Philadelphia Eagle Davis to give some insight on just how good he could be at Georgia.

“Jordan Davis had a 1-on-1 with me and my family,” Jarrett said. “He said ‘You know what to do if you want to be great’ and ‘Look at the people that played before me’ and ‘Look at the people that played with me’ and he was like pretty much ‘Come be a ‘Dawg’ so it was awesome, man.”

247Sports recruiting experts currently have Jarret predicted to commit to the Bulldogs.

That would give the Dawgs’ No. 4 class another boost after gaining pledges from five-star corner A.J. Harris, four-star linebacker C.J. Allen and one of the nation’s top kickers Peyton Woodring this past week.
