Four-star offensive line recruit Mason Short has announced his commitment to the  Georgia Bulldogs over Kentucky, Clemson and Ohio State. Short is Georgia’s sixth commitment in the class of 2025. Short is the Bulldogs’ first offensive line commit in the 2025 cycle.

Mason Short plays high school football for Evans High School in Evans, Georgia. Short is a member of the class of 2025 and is a rising senior.

The 6-foot-6, 305-pound interior offensive lineman is ranked as the No. 178 recruit in the class of 2025. Short is considered the eighth-ranked interior offensive lineman and the No. 26 recruit in Georgia, per 247Sports.

Short visited the Georgia Bulldogs on March 16 and Clemson a few days before going to Athens. Short decommitted from the Alabama Crimson Tide in January after visiting the University of Georgia and after legendary head coach Nick Saban retired.

Georgia offered a scholarship to Mason Short in April 2022 and have made the Evans standout a priority. The four-star offensive line recruit announced his commitment to Georgia at his high school.

Short made his commitment with the song “Georgia on My Mind” by Ray Charles playing as he made his verbal pledge to the Bulldogs. Short emphasized that he is focusing 80 percent of his commitment on the school’s offensive line recruit and 20 percent on the school’s head coach. It goes without saying that Georgia offensive line coach Stacy Searels played a big role in Short’s recruitment.

UGA football projected to land commitment from 4-star WR

The Georgia Bulldogs are projected to add a commitment from the fourth-best recruit in Illinois

The Georgia Bulldogs are projected to add a commitment from four-star wide receiver recruit Talyn Taylor. Taylor, who is a member of the class of 2025, plays high school football for Geneva Community High School in Geneva, Illinois.

Steve Wiltfong of On3 projects that Taylor will commit to the Bulldogs. Taylor is ranked as the No. 109 recruit in the country and the No. 13 wide receiver. The 6-foot-2, 175-pound receiver is the fourth-ranked prospect in Illinois, per 247Sports.

In 2022, Taylor recorded 801 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. Taylor displays excellent body control and is capable of winning jump balls.

The four-star has recently visited Georgia and Ohio State. The Geneva Community standout has upcoming visits scheduled with Michigan (April 7) and Notre Dame (April 6). Georgia and head coach Kirby Smart are still looking for their first wide receiver commitment in the class of 2025.

Georgia football currently has the No. 16 recruiting class in the country with five total commitments.

Four-star QB Matt Zollers sets commitment date

Elite quarterback recruit Matt Zollers has set his commitment date. His top schools are Georgia, Missouri, Pittsburgh and Penn State

Four-star quarterback recruit Matt Zollers plans to announce his commitment on April 4. Zollers’ top four schools are Georgia, Penn State, Pittsburgh and Missouri.

Zollers is a member of the class of 2025. He plays high school football for Spring-Ford High School in Royersford, Pennsylvania. He has unofficial spring visits with Missouri (March 20), Pittsburgh (March 28), Penn State (March 29) and Georgia (April 2).

The 6-foot-4, 205-pound quarterback is the No. 13 player at his position in the 2025 cycle. Zollers is the nation’s No. 197 recruit and No. 6 player in Pennsylvania, per 247Sports.

Zollers is a good athlete with a powerful arm. He also plays basketball at a high level for Spring-Ford. Zollers’ arm strength and mobility mean that he could finish ranked as one of the top quarterbacks in the class of 2025.

The Spring-Ford star threw for 2,917 passing yards, 37 touchdowns, and just two interceptions as a junior. Georgia is also heavily pursuing quarterback Julian Lewis in the class of 2025. The Bulldogs recently landed a commitment from five-star quarterback Jared Curtis in the class of 2026.

The Georgia Bulldogs have offered a scholarship to four-star Mississippi State defensive tackle commitment Jeremiah McCloud. McCloud is a member of the class of 2025, who committed to Mississippi State in January.

Georgia recently lost a commitment from five-star defensive tackle Justus Terry, so the Bulldogs are looking to secure a commitment from another defensive lineman.

Jeremiah McCloud plays high school football for Gadsden County High School in Havana, Florida. Rivals ranks McCloud as a four-star prospect. He is considered the No. 15 defensive tackle in the class of 2025 and the No. 45 recruit in Florida.

McCloud visited Georgia football over the weekend and was very excited to receive a scholarship offer from the Bulldogs.

Georgia currently has five commitments in the class of 2025. The Bulldogs have the nation’s No. 15 recruiting class, but it is still early in the 2025 recruiting cycle. There’s no doubt Georgia will finish among the best in the country on national signing day.

Former Georgia defensive backs coach Fran Brown had a lot of ties in New Jersey and helped the Bulldogs land some elite talent from the Northeast. Wafle plays high school football for The Hun School in Princeton, New Jersey. The 6-foot-4, 230-pound edge rusher is ranked as the No. 86 recruit in the class of 2026 and the No. 6 player at his position. Wafle also plays basketball for The Hun School.

Georgia offers 4-star in-state DB recruit

Elite cornerback Dorian Barney is on the verge of being ranked as a five-star

Four-star cornerback recruit Dorian Barney checked out the University of Georgia this winter. Now, the Georgia Bulldogs have extended a scholarship offer to the talented in-state defensive back after he visited Georgia for a second time.

Barney plays high school football for Peachtree Ridge High School in Suwanee, Georgia. The four-star recruit is ranked as the No. 32 prospect in the country. Dorian Barney is the third-ranked cornerback in the class of 2026 and the seventh-ranked recruit in Georgia, per 247Sports. Barney is not far from being ranked as a five-star prospect.

The elite cornerback has recently visited the Clemson Tigers and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Barney has recent scholarship offers from Texas A&M, Florida, Auburn and Oregon. Barney also plays basketball for Peachtree Ridge.

On tape, the 6-foot-1, 170-pound cornerback does a good job of reading the opposing quarterback and is a physical tackler. Barney announced his scholarship offer from Georgia football via social media:

Five-star QB recruit Julian Lewis schedules another visit with UGA

The Georgia Bulldogs continue to heavily pursue five-star quarterback Julian Lewis, who is committed to the USC Trojans.

Lewis attended a Georgia spring practice and has upcoming visits with Colorado (March 22) and USC (March 30). Lewis’ next trip to Georgia is set on May 31, and it will be an official visit.

The five-star prospect recently reclassified from the class of 2026 to the class of 2025. Lewis plays high school football for Carrollton High School in Carrollton, Georgia. Lewis is rated the No. 2 quarterback and the No. 9 recruit in the country, per the 247Sports composite. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound quarterback is the third-ranked recruit in Georgia.

Last season, Lewis passed for 3,094 passing yards, 48 touchdowns and only two interceptions. Lewis was named as the MaxPreps National Sophomore of the Year for his efforts in 2023, leading Carrollton to a 11-2 season and 7A quarterfinals appearance.

The five-star will not technically have a junior season. Lewis caught the eyes of college football recruiters with his amazing freshman season at Carrollton. Lewis helped Carrollton reach the 7A state final and set a state final record with 531 passing yards in a loss.

Georgia football has a strong pitch for recruiting quarterbacks. The Bulldogs have 15 first-round picks the past two years.

Five-star OT David Sanders sets visit with Georgia football

The second-ranked recruit in the class of 2025, five-star offensive tackle David Sanders, plans to visit Georgia soon

Five-star offensive tackle recruit David Sanders has scheduled a visit with the Georgia Bulldogs on March 16. Sanders also plans to visit Clemson on March 10, Alabama on March 23, Tennessee on April 12, and South Carolina (official visit) on April 19.

Sanders, who is a member of the class of 2025, recently named his top six schools. Every school Sanders is visiting is in his top six. The one school Sanders is considering but is not visiting this spring is Ohio State.

Sanders, who plays high school football for Providence Day School in Charlotte, North Carolina, is the second-ranked recruit in the class of 2025, per 247Sports. Sanders is the top-ranked offensive tackle recruit and the top-ranked player in North Carolina.

Sanders’ top schools are Georgia, Clemson, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Ohio State.

Sanders has received a projection from Rivals to commit to the Georgia Bulldogs. Georgia has five commitments in the class of 2025 and holds the nation’s No. 8 recruiting class in the country. Sanders is a priority recruit for Georgia football.

Georgia has several connections to Providence Day. The Bulldogs have offered scholarships to multiple of Sanders’ high school teammates. Providence Day has won three straight state championships in North Carolina. Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs recently signed class of 2023 four-star defensive back Chris Peal from Providence Day.

David Sanders recently announced his top six schools via social media. Sanders has committed to playing in the 2025 All-American Bowl. The 6-foot-6, 270-pound offensive tackle is still filling into his frame, but has outstanding mobility. Georgia extended a scholarship offer to David Sanders in March 2022. The five-star who also sees snaps at defensive end and tight end.
