Four Longhorns signees and targets at the 2022 All-American bowl

Two Texas signees and two remaining targets are in San Antonio for the 2022 All-American bowl. Here’s the team and jersey number they’ll each be sporting!

After having six signees selected to the Under Armour All-America game, Texas will have a few more participating in the All-American bowl in San Antonio this week.

Similar to the Under Armour event, the All-American bowl gives top ranked high school players a chance to team up and face off against other top talent from across the nation. Players like Vince Young, Trevor Lawrence, and Reggie Bush among many other college and NFL stars have participated in this particular event.

The Longhorns will have two signees participating this year, as both four-star defensive back Jaylon Guilbeau and four-star defensive end J’Mond Tapp will be representing Texas.

There are also a couple potential additions to the 2022 class participating in the event, who could very well boost Texas’ class that ranks as the No. 5 in the nation.

Four-star offensive lineman Earnest Greene and safety Larry Turner-Gooden will both be announcing their decision during the game and Texas is among the finalists for both players.

The game takes place on Jan. 8 and will be televised on NBC. Here are what respective team (East/West) and number each of the four players mentioned will be sporting.

Georgia recruiting: Top targets to watch ahead of early signing day

Georgia’s recruiting wish list ahead of Wednesday’s early signing day

With the early signing period set to begin December 15, Georgia is in good shape to reel in another top ranked recruiting class.

Currently, the Bulldogs have the nation’s No. 2 ranked class for the 2022 cycle, trailing only Alabama according to 247Sports team rankings.

Kirby Smart’s landed some big fish in this class, including five-stars Malaki Starks (athlete), Jaheim Singletary (cornerback) and Mykel Williams (defensive lineman).

Georgia has 24 commits so far but will look to bring in several more and regain that No. 1 spot in the recruiting rankings.

Here’s a few targets Georgia is still in the running for that would make this class one of the greatest in UGA history:

Early signing day could provide a little drama for Alabama fans

There is potential for drama on early signing day for Alabama!

It’s like Christmas, but ten days early for college football fans around the country. Early signing day is set for Wednesday, December 15. And high school players from all over will help change the landscape of college football with a stroke of a pen.

Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide are set to haul in another impressive class in 2022.

Currently, Alabama holds 22 commitments, but there is a chance two or three could flip their decision to another school on Wednesday. No need to fret Alabama fans, Coach Saban and company have this completely under control.

There are around ten or eleven other prospects that the coaching staff is eyeing to try and fill out the remainder of the class. Let’s take a look at some of those guys.

Four-star OL Earnest Greene releases top four schools

Texas makes the cut for elite offensive line prospect Earnest Greene.

Four-star offensive lineman Earnest Greene narrowed his recruitment down to four schools on Friday afternoon. Texas, Georgia, Ohio State and Alabama for the uber-talented prospect.

247Sports has Greene rated as the No. 2 interior offensive lineman in the nation and a top 50 player overall for the class of 2022.

National recruiting analyst for 247Sports Greg Biggins had promising things to say in his scouting report of Greene.

Shows raw power at the point of attack and is a powerful run blocker. Plays with a mean streak and has the right amount of nastiness you love to see in an elite lineman. Plays through the whistle but under control and doesn’t take needless penalties. Can get to the second level and make a block on a linebacker or safety and is equally strong as a pass blocker.

Steve Sarkisian and Kyle Flood have made the Cali. product a very high priority. Greene is the type of player who could make an immediate impact for a Texas offensive line that struggled for much of the 2021 season.

Georgia makes top-group for 4-star OL

Georgia makes top-four for Earnest Greene, a 2022 4-star offensive lineman.

Georgia has the nation’s No. 1 ranked class for the 2022 recruiting cycle and is looking to add another elite prospect in 4-star offensive lineman Earnest Greene.

Greene, an interior offensive lineman out of Bellflower, California, ranks as the nation’s No. 46 overall prospect, according to 247Sports.

On Friday, Greene released his top-four schools, which included Georgia, Alabama, Texas and Ohio State.

Georgia offered Greene on August 1, and the 6-foot-4, 330 pound lineman visited Athens in September when Georgia hosted South Carolina.

Right now, 247Sports’ Crystal Ball predicts Greene will sign with the Bulldogs.

An elite offensive lineman from a familiar California high school has received an offer from Clemson.

Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco 2022 four-star Earnest Greene reported the offer from the Tigers on Thursday night.

St. John Bosco, of course, is the school that produced Clemson quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei as well as Tigers wide receiver Beaux Collins.

Greene (6-5, 330) is ranked as the No. 2 interior offensive lineman and No. 67 overall prospect in the 2022 class by 247Sports, while Rivals ranks him as the No. 2 offensive guard and No. 61 overall prospect in the class. ESPN considers him the No. 12 offensive tackle and No. 82 overall prospect for 2022.

Greene worked out at the Dabo Swinney Camp in June 2019.

This past March, Greene announced a top 10 comprised of Oklahoma, Texas, Oregon, Texas A&M, Ohio State, LSU, Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Southern Cal.

Four-star offensive lineman Earnest Greene announces Texas visit weekend

Earnest Greene announced his official visit to Austin will take place on Oct. 16 for the Oklahoma State game. It will be his third OV.

Having Cole Hutson and Connor Robertson locked down on the interior offensive line is a good start for Kyle Flood. The two committed on the same day and have been important to Texas’ 2022 class already.

Offensive tackle, in particular, has been the position of concern. Some top targets have been missed on and the pool is drying up real quick. To make up for it, the Longhorns may have to keep going after the interior boys.

Earnest Greene may be the top IOL priority remaining on the board outside of Devon Campbell. The four-star out of California is one of the best prospects in the country and has shown interest in Texas.

He announced his official visit to Austin will take place on Oct. 16 for the Oklahoma State game. It will be his third OV, leaving two for later in the calendar.

Texas will have the chance to carry a ton of momentum heading into Greene’s visit. Oct. 9 is the date of the Red River Shootout against Oklahoma in Dallas. A win there will have the program buzzing on the recruiting front.

Show out as a coaching staff in person throughout the weekend and Greene will be heading back West with a lot to think about. Opportunities will be there for Sarkisian in the coming weeks.

On the 247Sports composite, Greene is the No. 2 interior offensive lineman and the No. 4 prospect from the state of California. On the national scale, the four-star ranks as the No. 61 overall player.

Highlighting top Ohio State high school targets

How did some of the higher rated #Buckeyes targets play?

We are still eagerly awaiting the start of the Ohio State football season. In the meantime, we have high school football, and as we know no one lights up the recruiting trail like the Ohio State Buckeyes.

With the first week of high school football in the books in many parts of the country, we thought it would be an interesting exercise to look into how some of the top Ohio State prospects did. The following five prospects are either committed to Ohio State or seriously considering committing and how they performed.

Report: 4-star OL to visit UGA

Per DawgNation, 4-star 2022 offensive lineman Earnest Greene will check out Georgia football next month.

Georgia has the nation’s No. 1 ranked class for the 2022 recruiting cycle and is looking to add another elite prospect in 4-star offensive lineman Earnest Greene.

Greene, an interior offensive lineman out of Bellflower, California, ranks as the nation’s No. 59 overall prospect, according to 247Sports.

Per DawgNation, the 6-foot-4, 330 pounder plans on taking an unofficial to Athens in June.

“I have unofficials to Alabama and Georgia the 23rd through 27th of next month,” Greene told DawgNation.

“All the family on my dad’s side is from Savannah, Georgia. That’s where he was born and raised.”

Greene also explained to DawgNation that Ohio State has been recruiting very hard since his freshman year, so Georgia will have some tough competition from the Buckeyes.

In March, Greene released a top-10 of Oklahoma, Texas, Oregon, Texas A&M, Ohio State, LSU, Florida, Georgia, Alabama and USC.
