MSU Football makes top ten for 2021 3-star tight end Erin Outley

Michigan State has made the top ten for one of the top players in the state of Arkansas.

News on the recruiting front for MSU Football has slowed down a bit over the last few weeks, but fans eager for another recruit to join the 2021 class might not have to wait much longer as Erin Outley announced that Michigan State is one of his top ten schools for his recruitment.

Outley is a 6-foot-4, 246-pound tight end and the No. 8 ranked player in the state of Arkansas according to 247Sports. They also have him ranked as the No. 51 ranked tight end in his class.

Here is his announcement tweet from earlier today:

Outley currently plays for Parkview Magnet and lives in Little Rock, Arkansas. His local Arkansas Razorbacks will likely be the favorite here but it is interesting that he included both MSU and Michigan in his top ten.

Georgia football makes top-four for 5-star CB Tony Grimes

5-star CB Tony Grimes released his top four and Georgia football was included.

On Sunday, 5-star 2021 cornerback Tony Grimes released a top-four of Georgia, Ohio State, North Carolina and Texas A&M.

Grimes, out Virginia Beach, ranks as the nationā€™s No. 1 cornerback in the 2021 class. He is also Americaā€™s No. 7 overall player and the top player in the state of Virginia.

The University of Virginia was thought to be a top contender for Grimes, but the Cavaliers did not make the final four after being named as one of his eight finalists.

This one looks to be coming down to the Tar Heels and the Bulldogs, however, you can never count the Buckeyes out. Per 247Sports’ Crystal Ball, UNC is considered the slight favorite.

UGA was on fire last week when it came to recruiting.

Earlier this week, Georgia picked up a commitment from 2021 4-star outside linebacker Chaz Chambliss. Next was 2022 cornerback Marquis Groves-Killebrew, followed by the announcement that USC quarterback JT Daniels would be transferring to UGA. And then on Saturday, the Dawgs picked up a commitment from 4-star offensive guard Dylan Fairchild.

Georgia currently has the nationā€™s 12th ranked class in the 2021 cycle. The Bulldogs started last week at No. 20.

Ohio State included in class of 2021’s No. 1 corner Tony Grimes’ final four

The No. 1 corner in the class of 2021, Tony Grimes, has announced his final four schools and Ohio State is included.

It’s been a rather unknown throughout the recruiting process of the nation’s No. 1 cornerback for the 2021 class. How interested is Tony Grimes in Ohio State — really? Grimes is the type of talent any college program would want. At 6-foot, 180-pounds, he has the potential to be a lock-down corner from the time he steps on campus. He is rated as the No. 1 cornerback and seventh overall prospect in the class according to theĀ 247Sports Composite Ratings.

But up until now, he’s seemed to only have fringe interest in Ohio State. Yet, every time he culls his list of schools down, the Buckeyes are still there. Recently, he didĀ show a little love to OSU on Twitter, and that got the pot all stirred up.

And now this.

Grimes announced his final four schools today, and once again, the Buckeyes are still standing. In addition to Ohio State, he also has North Carolina, Texas A&M, and Georgia. You can watch his announcement below.

It might be a little surprising to some recruiting circles, but with the DBs Ohio State has churned out lately, almost every prospect on the back end of the defense is likely to give OSU a look. It’s also a bit of an audible because Grimes was supposed to announce a final three.

That adds to the mystery — and clearly — the jury is still out what the gap is between No. 1 and No. 4. Still though, Kerry Coombs and company appear to be making an impression.

Vols offer 2022 Missouri cornerback

Vols offer 2022 Missouri cornerback.

Tennessee joined a growing list of SEC schools when the Vols offered 2022 cornerback Toriano Pride from Saint Louis, Missouri last week.

Pride is 5-foot-11 and 172-pounds that 247Sports rates as a 3-star prospect, the No. 34 cornerback in his class and the No. 8 player in Missouri. Auburn, Florida State, Missouri, Ole Miss and others have offered the rising junior at Lutheran North High School. Arkansas also extended an offer, with former Missouri head coach Barry Odom as Pride’s primary recruiter.

Tennessee typically does not have a big presence in Missouri recruiting-wise, and Jeremy Pruitt has not yet secured a player from the “Show-Me State.”

While UT’s 2021 class is one of the best in college football, it only includes two cornerback commits in 3-stars Nate Evans and Jay Jones. Tennessee does not yet have a commit in the 2022 recruiting class.

Recruiting: Virtual Visit for One of Notre Dame’s Newest Offers

The Irish try to make an impression with a virtual visit to Notre Dame with one of their newest offered prospects.

With the NCAA extending the recruiting mandatory dead-period through the end of July, many teams continue to hold prospects to visit their campuses virtually. On Friday that happened with Iowaā€™s TJ Bollers, who was offered earlier this week.

Bollers interaction with the Irish staff has heated significantly this week and that bodes well for Brian Kelly and Mike Elston. Although late to the party with Bollers, getting him to visit virtually almost immediately after the offer confirms interest on both sides.

The one of the Irishā€™s biggest recruiters is commit Gabriel Rubio, who uses his social media account to try and entice Notre Dame prospects to join him in the 2021 class. Rubio seems pretty confident the Irish can get a commitment from the talented defensive end.

At the moment the 2021 Notre Dame class features three commits on the defensive line, Rubio, Texasā€™ David Abiara and Rhode Islandā€™s Jason Onye. Rubio, from Missouri, is the tackle in the class, with Abiara and Onye playing on the edge. There have been rumors of Abiara flipping to Oklahoma, so going after Bollers makes plenty of sense. Bollers relationship with Notre Dame has evolved quickly and I feel like thatā€™s a great sign for the Irish going forward.

2021 Georgia CB Javon Bullard includes UGA in top-seven

UGA has been hot this week when it comes to recruiting.

On Saturday, the Dawgs picked up a commitment from 4-star offensive guard Dylan Fairchild.

Earlier this week, Georgia picked up a commitment from 2021 4-star outside linebacker Chaz Chambliss. Next was 2022 cornerback Marquis Groves-Killebrew, followed by the announcement that USC quarterback JT Daniels would be transferring to UGA.

Wisconsin receives two new crystal ball predictions

Four-star defensive endĀ T.J. BollersĀ and three-star cornerbackĀ Ricardo Hallman–both Badger targets in the class of 2021–each received…

Four-star defensive endĀ T.J. BollersĀ and three-star cornerbackĀ Ricardo Hallman–both Badger targets in the class of 2021–each received 247Sports crystal ball predictions yesterday that they will joinĀ Paul ChrystĀ and the Badgers in Madison.

Bollers and Hallman have both expressed excitement on Twitter when other Badger targets including four-star tight endĀ Jack PughĀ committed to Wisconsin. So there’s a good chance they aren’t far behind.

These crystal ball predictions also come on the heels of several Badger football recruiting and personnel employees tweeting that there could be two recruits set to join their class of 2021 in the near future.

No news is close to set in stone, though with the recruiting process comes kernels of information and signs that point towards a conclusion.

The people at 247Sports seem to believe that solution will be the commitments of Bollers and Hallman in the not-so-distant future.
