Five-star 2021 cornerback Tony Grimes released a top four of Georgia, Ohio State, North Carolina and Texas A&M. Now, he’s ready to make his commitment.

Grimes, out of Virginia Beach, ranks as the nation’s No. 1 cornerback in the 2021 class. He is also America’s No. 7 player overall and the top player in the state of Virginia.

Grimes announced via Twitter that he plans to make his commitment at 5:00 PM Eastern Time today:

This recruiting battle looks to be coming down to the Tar Heels and the Bulldogs. However, you can never count the Buckeyes out. Per 247Sports’ crystal ball, UNC is the favorite.

Georgia recently picked up a commitment from 2021 four-star outside linebacker Chaz Chambliss. The Bulldogs also got one from 2022 cornerback Marquis Groves-Killebrew. The Dawgs picked up a commitment from four-star offensive guard Dylan Fairchild, too.

On Sunday, 5-star 2021 cornerback Tony Grimes released a top-four of Georgia, Ohio State, North Carolina and Texas A&M.

Grimes, out Virginia Beach, ranks as the nation’s No. 1 cornerback in the 2021 class. He is also America’s No. 7 overall player and the top player in the state of Virginia.

The University of Virginia was thought to be a top contender for Grimes, but the Cavaliers did not make the final four after being named as one of his eight finalists.

This one looks to be coming down to the Tar Heels and the Bulldogs, however, you can never count the Buckeyes out. Per 247Sports’ Crystal Ball, UNC is considered the slight favorite.

UGA was on fire last week when it came to recruiting.

2021 CB Javon Bullard from Milledgeville, Georgia included UGA football in his top-seven on Saturday.

2021 3-star cornerback Javon Bullard (Baldwin HS/Milledgeville, Ga.) has included UGA in his top-seven.

Ranked as the nation’s No. 61 cornerback, Bullard released a top-seven of Georgia, Louisville, NC State, Pittsburgh, South Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia.

UGA has been hot this week when it comes to recruiting.

On Saturday, the Dawgs picked up a commitment from 4-star offensive guard Dylan Fairchild.

4-star OG Dylan Fairchild commits to Georgia

4-star OG Dylan Fairchild committed to Georgia football on Saturday.

Georgia has had quite the week on the recruiting trail and on Saturday picked up a commitment from 4-star offensive guard Dylan Fairchild.

Fairchild, out of West Forsyth High School in Cumming, Georgia, ranks as the nation’s No. 40 overall prospect and No. 2 ranked offensive guard in the class of 2021, according to 247Sports.

New offensive line coach Matt Luke can be credited with pulling in the 6-foot-5, 298 pound prospect.

Highlights of 5-star Georgia football QB commit Brock Vandagriff.

Brock Vandagriff is Georgia’s highest rated commit in the class of 2021.

A 5-star passer out of Bogart, Georgia (Prince Avenue Christian School), Vandagriff is the nation’s No. 12 overall player and the No. 2 ranked dual-threat quarterback in the country.

With JT Daniels transferring to Georgia this week and redshirt freshman quarterback D’Wan Mathis being cleared to play, it’s been a busy news week regarding Georgia and the quarterback position.

But let’s not forget that the Dawgs have an absolute stud coming for the 2021 season.

2021 OLB Terrence ‘Cookie’ Cooks includes Georgia football in top group

Georgia football has made the top-12 for 2021 4-star OLB Terrence Cooks.

Georgia has made the top-12 for Terrence ‘Cookie’ Cooks.

Cooks, a 4-star 2021 outside linebacker out of Pearland, Texas, released his top-12 schools on Wednesday.

Southern Cal, Stanford, Texas A&M, Georgia Tech, Washington, Oregon, Texas, Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, Oklahoma and Georgia all made the most recent group.

Ranked as the nation’s No. 407 overall player and as the No. 26 outside linebacker, Cooks stands at 6-foot-2 and weighs in at 210 pounds.

As a junior, Cooks was a Texas District 10-5A D-I second-team selection as a linebacker. He also helped his Shadow Creek team to a 16-0 record and Texas 5A D-I state championship.

Georgia offered Cooks back in February.
