Michigan State basketball seniors all undecided on returning for another season
Michigan State basketball has three seniors who are vital to the rotation who will each have a very important choice to make at the end of the year: return or leave?
Joey Hauser, Gabe Brown, and Marcus Bingham Jr. will all be able to return next year due to extra COVID-19 eligibility (Hauser could come back for two more years) and at Friday’s press conference, all three told the media that they are unsure if they will be using that or not.
Michigan State seniors Joey Hauser, Gabe Brown and Marcus Bingham Jr. all said they’re undecided on their plans for next year.
All 3 have the extra COVID year available. Hauser said he’d have 2 years to use if he wished because of his injury at Marquette.

This is a pretty interesting situation for all three. All three players have had what many would probably call a disappointing season, but all three also have skills that hypothetically could get them a look at the next level, or at least a good opportunity in the G-League or overseas. Bingham, in particular, is a monster shot blocker and that is always in high demand in pro ball.
Before his cold streak, Gabe Brown’s shooting and athleticism also gave him an outside shot of making a run at the NBA someday, but he is another guy who could benefit from another season to reset himself.

Xavier Tillman Sr. congratulates Marcus Bingham Jr. on setting new block record at Michigan State
Xavier Tillman Sr. used to be the all-time blocks leader at Michigan State basketball with 153 in his three-year career. That changed this week when Marcus Bingham Jr., who now sits at 155 blocks, passed him.
On Wednesday, Tillman sent a message with his buddy and fellow Grand Rapids, Michigan native congratulating him on the achievement:

Aggregate NBA mock draft 4.0: Duke’s AJ Griffin is soaring back into the top tier
The best prospects in the world are all competing for the top spot in the 2022 NBA draft and it is hard to sort how everyone is stacking up.
The best prospects in the world are all competing for the top spot in the 2022 NBA draft and it is hard to sort how everyone is stacking up.
In order to help us get a better sense of where all of the projected top prospects in the class stand as of right now, we compiled mock drafts from Draft Express (ESPN), Aran Smith (NBADraft.net), Sam Vecenie (The Athletic), Jonathan Wasserman (Bleacher Report), Chad Ford (NBA Big Board), Krysten Peek (Yahoo), Matt Babcock (Basketball News) as well as USA TODAY Sports Media Group’s For The Win.
Please note that these rankings reflect the composite score in order to get a feel for consensus, not our own opinion. Predictions for a first overall pick earned a player 58 points while the second overall pick earned 57 points, the third overall earned 56 points, and so on.
AJ Griffin (Duke), Alondes Williams (Wake Forrest), Iverson Molinar (Mississippi State), Orlando Robinson (Fresno State), Walker Kessler (Fresno State), Justin Lewis (Marquette), Christian Braun (Kansas), and Tari Eason (LSU) have improved their draft stock the most since our most recent update last month.\
The most notable prospects who made their debut on our rankings were Shaedon Sharpe (Kentucky), David Roddy (Colorado State), and Jaylin Williams (Arkansas).
Meanwhile, the top prospects who were not included in any of these recent mock drafts are Daimion Collins (Kentucky), Alex Fudge (LSU), Justin Moore (Villanova), Darius Days (LSU), Jared Rhoden (Seton Hall), Tre Mitchell (Texas), Dawson Garcia (North Carolina), and more.

Michigan State basketball to be at full strength against Northwestern
Coach Izzo expects his team to be back at full strength against Northwestern

Michigan State basketball survived a scare from High Point on Wednesday afternoon, escaping with an 81-68 victory after trailing in the second half. Part of that scare was in part due to the Spartans missing four of their players, two being starters in Marcus Bingham and Max Christie.
The Spartans will be back in action against Northwestern on Sunday to kick off the new year and head coach Tom Izzo has announced that he expects his team to be back at full strength for the conference matchup.
Tom Izzo says MSU will get back his players back from COVID for Sunday's game at Northwestern, including Marcus Bingham, Max Christie and Pierre Brooks. "No other issues. As you know, it's a day-to-day thing."

With COVID, everything is day-to-day and nothing is guaranteed, but the Spartans are on track to have a full roster to start the new year.

If I know one thing about Michigan State basketball, it’s that Spartans will always give back to the community. That was seen this week when MSU big man Marcus Bingham Jr. was volunteering at Xavier Tillman’s camp this week and made a big impression on the campers.

WATCH: Marcus Bingham Jr. gets two straight blocks on same possession against UCLA
Marcus Bingham Jr. had an impressive sequence against UCLA, recording two blocks on the same possession on Mac Etienne.
It has been an absolute block party tonight for Marcus Bingham Jr. Once again, Bingham has proven that he is Michigan State’s best rim protector against UCLA. At the time of this post, he has three blocks on the night, but two of them came just a few seconds apart on UCLA’s Mac Etienne.
Etienne called for the ball, which was his first mistake against the lengthy Bingham. Bingham swatted his first shot attempt back into his hands, then proceeded to send his second attempt into the stands.
You can watch the impressive sequence below:
