Georgia’s assist per game leader announces transfer destination

Former Georgia Bulldogs basketball guard Justin Hill has announced where he will play his final year of eligibility.

After entering the portal three weeks ago, former Georgia Bulldogs point guard Justin Hill has officially announced his new school. The fifth-year guard has announced his intention to transfer to Wichita State, giving the Shockers a veteran boost to their offense for next season.

Hill is listed at 6 feet and 185 pounds, and he is a native of Richmond, Texas. He started 13 games over the past two years at Georgia and was a consistent contributor, averaging 9.5 points per game and 3.2 assists per game a season ago, including a memorable moment when he hit a game-winning shot to beat Florida State. Hill was Georgia’s assist leader for the 2023-2024 season.

Prior to arriving in Athens, he played his first two seasons at Longwood, where he started 40 games over two years and averaged 14.2 points per game in his sophomore year. The 2024 season will be his final year of eligibility, and he will seek to help a Shockers team that went 15-19 season a year ago and is in desperate need of his efficient passing and playmaking ability.

Ohio State makes top 4 of in-state 2025 edge rusher

The Buckeyes remain one of the top schools for the in-state star

It’s been a big weekend for 2025 Ohio edge rusher [autotag]Justin Hill[/autotag].

He has been trending on social media after bulldozing Notre Dame offensive tackle commitment Owen Strebig, showing that he is one of the most impressive players at his position in the country.

Hill’s ranking back that up, as the 247Sports Composite Rankings has him as the No. 126 overall prospect and 13th overall edge rusher in the country. On Sunday he trimmed his list to just four schools: Alabama, Oregon, USC and Ohio State.

As a priority in-state prospect, the Buckeyes moving on in Hill’s recruitment is important. They’ll battle two of the Big Ten’s newest teams along with the SEC power Crimson Tide.

If you haven’t seen the clip of Hill plowing right by Strebig, here it is.

Expect Ohio State to continue to press hard for Hill’s commitment over the next few months.

Second Georgia basketball player enters the transfer portal

Following the announcement regarding the transfer of Jalen Deloach, a second UGA basketball contributor has entered the portal.

Following the transfer announcement of Jalen Deloach this morning, the Georgia basketball roster shakeup continued into the afternoon. Guard Justin Hill has entered the transfer portal after his second season at Georgia.

Hill started 13 games over the past two years at Georgia and was a consistent contributor, averaging 9.5 points per game and 3.2 assists per game a season ago, including a 21-point performance against Wake Forest in the National Invitational Tournament. He had a memorable moment this season when he hit a game-winning shot to beat Florida State. Georgia will miss Hill’s efficient passing and playmaking ability.

Hill is listed at 6 feet and 185 pounds, and he is a native of Richmond, Texas. Prior to arriving in Athens, he played his first two seasons at Longwood, where he started 40 games over two years. During his sophomore season he averaged 14.2 points per game and Longwood won the Big South en route to an NCAA Tournament bid. He will have one year of eligibility remaining.

Top five class of 2025 football recruits from Ohio

Top five class of 2025 football recruits from Ohio #GoBucks

The Ohio State football recruiting class of 2024 was a success and included eight elite players from the state of Ohio including future star cornerback, Aaron Scott from Holland, Ohio. Homegrown talent is a vital part of the lifeblood of the Ohio State football program and I wanted to take time to dive into the next class of Buckeye State stars.

When looking at the class of 2025, the Buckeyes look to be in great shape and have verbal commitments from two of the top five Ohio prospects and are the odds-on favorite for a third. In the day and age of name, image and likeness, following recruiting has become a bit more mundane with players flipping wildly due to the promise of cash.

But with the Buckeyes gaining momentum in that department they should be able to make that situation work for and not against them. Let’s examine the top five prospects for the class of 2025 in the state of Ohio.

In-state 2025 linebacker has Ohio State in his top 10

Keep him home!!!

Some of the best historical Ohio State football teams had a big time Ohio flavor to its roster.

That might be a trend we are seeing again, in the 2024 class, of the 20 commits, seven of them stayed home to play for the Buckeyes. Moving to the 2025 class, two of the four current commits are from Ohio.

That number could very well increase over the next few months, and one of those prospects Ohio State is targeting is Winton Woods linebacker [autotag]Justin Hill[/autotag]. The 6-foot, 2-inch and 210-pound defender released his top 10 list, which included the Buckeyes. He is the No. 6 ranked player in the state, 13th edge and 138th overall prospect according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

The Buckeyes offered him back in March of 2023, so the relationship has been building for quite some time.

Mike White and UGA basketball have added former Longwood Lancers guard Justin Hill, who is transferring to Georgia.

The Georgia Bulldogs did not take long to add a new player under first year head coach Mike White. Longwood Lancers guard Justin Hill is transferring to Georgia.

Hill was the leading scored on Longwood’s 26-7 team in 2021-2022. Longwood made the NCAA Tournament before falling to Tennessee. Hill averaged a team-high 14.2 points per game this season.

Justin Hill is a good shooter and can score at all three levels. He is Mike White’s first addition to the roster since becoming the head coach at Georgia. Hill helped Longwood go 15-1 in conference play. Longwood one the Big South and was a 14-seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Hill announced his commitment to Georgia via Twitter:

Mike White will have to rebuild much of Georgia’s roster. The Bulldogs will need a combination of incoming transfers and freshman in order to improve off last season. Georgia already has some key players from the 2021-2022 season in the transfer portal.
