New Orleans Saints inactive report for Week 11 at Buccaneers

The New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers reported their inactive players for Week 11, including Deonte Harris and Marshon Lattimore.

[jwplayer sXmBDaQ3]

The New Orleans Saints are going to be without multiple key players during their game with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, with starters like Marshon Lattimore (hamstring) and Andrus Peat (broken arm) preemptively ruled out for Sunday on the final injury report. Rookie returns specialist Deonte Harris (also managing a hamstring issue) joined them. This could be the first look fans have at free agent guard Nick Easton, who signed a four-year, $22.5 million contract in the offseason but has only played a handful of special teams snaps this year behind Peat and backup Will Clapp.

However, the Buccaneers are also banged up. They cut their leader in snaps played at cornerback (Vernon Hargreaves III) earlier this week, and they’ll also have to sit their third corner, M.J. Stewart, who is battling a knee injury. The cornerback ranked second on the depth chart behind Hargreaves, Carlton Davis, was listed as questionable to play but Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians said will suit up. Tampa Bay is also without two outside linebackers in Anthony Nelson and Carl Nassib.

Here’s the full list of players who are inactive for this game:

From the Saints

  • CB Marshon Lattimore
  • OL Andrus Peat
  • WR Deonte Harris
  • DE Carl Granderson
  • OL Ethan Greenidge
  • TE Dan Arnold
  • WR Austin Carr

From the Buccaneers

Chargers final injury report: 2 doubtful, 3 questionable

The Los Angeles Chargers released their final injury report ahead of Week 11 on Saturday.

The Los Angeles Chargers had their last practice on Saturday before traveling to Mexico City to take on the Kansas City Chiefs.

Here is a look at the final injury report:

Out

OT Sam Tevi

Doubtful

WR Geremy Davis
RB Justin Jackson

Questionable

S Roderic Teamer
OT Russell Okung
LS Cole Mazza

Right tackle Sam Tevi has officially been ruled out. Trent Scott will start in place of him. Meanwhile, left tackle Russell Okung is questionable, which means there’s a chance he will play. If he can’t go, Trey Pipkins would get the start.

Safety Roderic Teamer and long snapper Cole Mazza are questionable, as well. Teamer hasn’t played since Week 8, as he’s been dealing with a groin injury. If Mazza isn’t good for Monday’s matchup, recently acquired Matt Overton will start.

Wide receiver Geremy Davis and running back Justin Jackson are both doubtful.

Notre Dame/Navy: Injury Update (Pre-Game)

The good news is that Braden Kenzie appears back after dealing with fatigue issues.

As No. 16 Notre Dame gets set to kickoff against Navy, a couple of injury notes to keep an eye on for the game.

The Irish have been hit with injuries at the receiver position this season, dressing just four scholarship receivers last week at Duke.

The good news is that Braden Lenzy appears back after dealing with fatigue issues.

The bad news?

McKinley has pulled in 11 receptions and four touchdowns for Notre Dame this year.

Dolphins final injury report for Week 11 versus Buffalo

Will the Dolphins be without key starters against Buffalo in Week 11? The team has released their final injury report for this week.

The Miami Dolphins’ lack of depth is starting to get tested, but you’d never know it based on the product the team has fielded over the last two weeks. Miami is playing tough, scrappy football — they’re never going to blow anyone out but they’ve very much embraced the “next man up” mentality on both sides of the football.

There may be a few men up next this week against the Buffalo Bills — because the Dolphins’ injury report for Week 11 against Buffalo is extensive. And that’s putting it mildly.

All things considered, it is a win for the Dolphins to see just one confirmed player out in CB Ken Webster. And after several weeks of inactivity, the expectation for both DE Avery Moss and S Reshad Jones is that they’ll both dress and be ready to go this week against Buffalo.

But there are some important Dolphins included on this report, several of which would be killer losses for Miami in their hopes to secure a third consecutive win. Among them is LB Raekwon McMillan, who was limited all week at practice and is formally a game-time decision. So, too, is DE Taco Charlton, Miami’s sack leader through nine games this season.

And with offensive absences like WR Preston Williams (ACL) and RB Mark Walton (suspension), the Dolphins are strained on both sides of the ball. No NFL game is easy — but being stretched this thin with injuries after already having a roster devoid of talent is a pretty brutal development. In order to absorb the blow, Miami must continue to do the little things right: tackle, protect the ball, don’t get penalties and stay ahead of the chains.

How effective will they be in doing so with the “next man up”? We’ll find out tomorrow.

Jaguars’ final injury report vs. Colts in Week 11

Jacksonville’s final injury report in Week 11.

While the Indianapolis Colts (5-4) have a few big names on their final injury report in Week 11, the Jacksonville Jaguars (4-5) only have one player with a designation entering the divisional matchup.

The Colts released their injury report, which included wide receivers T.Y. Hilton (calf) and Parris Campbell (hand) being ruled out. The Jaguars listed tight end Seth DeValve as doubtful with an oblique injury.

Here’s a look at their final injury report for the Week 11 matchup:

The Colts are getting quarterback Jacoby Brissett to return after missing one game. The Jaguars are also seeing the return of starting quarterback Nick Foles, who hasn’t played since Week 1.

An important game for both sides, the Colts and Jaguars are set to square off at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET.

Who returns punts with Deonte Harris injured?

The New Orleans Saints will be without their breakout star punt returner against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers so who fills in for Deonte Harris?

[jwplayer FXiwQx5O]

Breakout rookie punt returner Deonte Harris was an unexpected absentee on the New Orleans Saints injury report, with the team ruling him out for their Sunday game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Harris’s loss is huge; he’s been the best to do it for New Orleans since Sean Payton was hired as head coach, and the rookie is the only player in the NFL with 200-plus yards on both punts and kickoffs.

Unfortunately, a late-game hamstring injury versus the Atlanta Falcons has put his availability in doubt, though the team already put him on the shelf this week. Hopefully this won’t become a lingering issue that derails his promising NFL debut.

In the meantime, who will the Saints roll out to fill in for him against the Buccaneers?

The easy answer on punts is Ted Ginn Jr., who has the most NFL experience doing that of anyone else left on the roster. But Saints coach Sean Payton has been critical of Ginn’s shaky hands in the past and may prefer to give younger teammates a shot first.

One of those candidates could be Krishawn Hogan, who was the only other player warming up as a punt returner next to Harris before last week’s Falcons game. Hogan has only played a handful of snaps so far, mostly blocking on run plays, but he might be someone Payton considers for the job.

Two other names to monitor are players more familiar with Saints fans: quarterback Taysom Hill and running back Alvin Kamara. They have both returned punts and kickoffs in the past, with Kamara notching a 106-yard kickoff return for a touchdown against Tampa Bay back in his 2017 rookie season. He’s since eased off of return duties due to his value on offense, but it’s possible the Saints get desperate for a spark and trot him out.

Cowboys Week 11 injury designations: LG Connor Williams ruled OUT

The Detroit Lions Week 11 opponent, the Dallas Cowboys, have released their injury designations and ruled LG Connor Williams OUT.

The Detroit Lions Week 11 opponent, the Dallas Cowboys have declared their inactives for this weekend’s game at Ford Field.

While the Cowboys are relatively healthy, they will be down 20-percent of their starting offensive line and there’s a chance they could be down as much as 40-percent come game-time.

Ruled OUT

LG Connor Williams (knee)

Williams had arthroscopic knee surgery on Tuesday and is expected to miss time. “In his place,” Cowboys Wire’s Cody Milligan points out, “the Cowboys will start sixth-year pro Xavier Su’a-Filo. Su’a-Filo started eight games for the Cowboys in 2018 after being signed as a free agent.”

This is a downgrade for the Cowboys, and may not be the end of their injury issues on the offensive line.

Questionable

RT La’el Collins (knee, back)
S Jeff Heath (shoulders)

Collins didn’t practice on Wednesday or Thursday and returned to a limited practice on Friday, but most people in the know are expecting him to play. With Williams already out, losing Collins would be a blow to their offensive line.

Heath, a Cowboys captain and Michigan native (he’s from Lake Orion), has been limited all week and is coming off a game that saw him with his lowest snap count of the season. Even if he is able to play this weekend, he may be limited on Sunday.

Not listed with an injury designation

WR Armani Cooper (knee, ankle)
WR Michael Gallup (knee)
LT Tyron Smith (ankle)
RG Zack Martin (back, ankle, elbow)
OT Cameron Fleming (calf)
DE DeMarcus Lawrence (neck)
DE Michael Bennett (non-injury)
DT Antwaun Woods (shoulder)
LB Sean Lee (pectoral)
CB C.J. Goodwin (knee)

There are a lot of other Cowboys banged in this section — including eight starters — but they are all in position to play on Sunday.

Jaguars Week 11 injury report: TE Seth DeValve (oblique) listed as doubtful vs. Colts

The Jags will only have one player who may not suit up against the Colts in TE Seth DeValve.

With their bye week occurring last week, the Jacksonville Jaguars will be very close to 100% as they travel to Indianapolis to take on the Colts. However, there was one player who surfaced on the injury report and that was tight end Seth DeValve, who was ruled doubtful with an oblique injury.

DeValve was added to the injury report Thursday with safety Ronnie Harrison (eye) and was listed as limited upon his initial placement on the list.

Though it’s just one injury, DeValve’s situation could affect the Jags in a big way because it leaves them with just two tight ends in Josh Oliver and Ben Koyack. Before having their current trio, the Jags lost both James O’Shaughnessy (ACL tear) and Geoff Swaim (ankle/concussion), who were placed on injured reserve.

The Jags have rookie tight end Charles Jones on their practice squad who they could promote to the main roster. They also could sign a free-agent if they don’t feel comfortable with going into Sunday’s game with two tight ends.

On the positive side, linebackers Quincy Williams and Leon Jacobs, offensive linemen Brandon Linder and Cam Robinson, receiver Dede Westbrook, nickelback D.J. Hayden, and defensive lineman Calais Campbell will all play after being listed on Thursday’s report.
