Jaguars final injury report vs. Titans: TE Seth DeValve to miss his second consecutive week

Seth DeValve will miss his second consecutive week with an oblique injury he sustained last week.

For the second consecutive week the Jacksonville Jaguars only had one player on their final injury report as tight end Seth DeValve is still recovering from the oblique injury he sustained last Thursday.

The Jags haven’t had the best luck at the tight end position and last Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts left them in worse shape at the position. With DeValve out, they only entered the game with Josh Oliver and Ben Koyack at the position but Oliver had to be placed on injured reserve afterward as a result of sustaining multiple back fractures.

The Jags signed veteran tight end Nick O’Leary out of free-agency Monday and promoted Charles Jones from their practice squad. Both will now join Koyack giving the Jags three tight ends to travel to Tennessee with.

Jags have close to full participation in practice Thursday

The Jags had all but two players participate in their practice session Thursday in TE Seth DeValve and Dede Westbrook.

The Jacksonville Jaguars only had two players to sit out of practice Thursday for their upcoming game against the Tennessee Titans in tight end Seth DeValve (oblique) and receiver Dede Westbrook (illness), who was a new addition to the injury report. Aside from those two every player on the injury report participated to some capacity.

Receivers D.J. Chark Jr. (hamstring) and Chris Conley (hamstring) and nickelback D.J. Hayden (hip/wrist) were the three players from Wednesday’s injury report who were upgraded from limited to full participation. Safety Ronnie Harrison (eye) and offensive tackle Cam Robinson (knee) also were full participants.

Veterans Calais Campbell (back) and Brandon Linder (shoulder) were the only two limited participants on Thursday’s report. Both were on last week’s injury reports for the same injuries but were able to play in Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Falcons Week 12 injury report: Matt Ryan returns, Takk McKinley out Thursday

Atlanta had a long list of players on its Wednesday injury report, including Matt Ryan, Julio Jones, Devonta Freeman and Takk McKinley. Fortunately for the Falcons, Ryan and Jones returned to practice today.

Atlanta had a long list of players on its Wednesday injury report, including Matt Ryan, Julio Jones, Devonta Freeman and Takk McKinley. Fortunately for the Falcons, Ryan and Jones returned to practice today.

As for Freeman and McKinley, both sat out again on Thursday. We know Freeman isn’t likely to play in Week 12 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but McKinley would be a big loss as he finally looks to be getting comfortable.

Safety Kemal Ishmael and tight end Austin Hooper were the other two Falcons players to miss practice, which you can see in the table below.

Updated Week 12 Saints-Panthers injury report

The New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers published their updated injury reports ahead of their Week 12 game, but it didn’t clarify much.

[jwplayer WU2Y8Ngc]

The New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers published their second injury report ahead of their Week 12 clash, the result of which could put the Saints one game away from their third straight NFC South title (with a little help from the Panthers’ next opponent). Here’s a refresher on the division standings:

  1. New Orleans Saints (8-2)
  2. Carolina Panthers (5-5)
  3. Atlanta Falcons (3-7)
  4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-7)

As for the Saints injury report: cornerback Marshon Lattimore and wide receiver Deonte Harris are both battling hamstring injuries, and did not participate in Wednesday’s walkthrough. That does not bode well for their status to play on Sunday. Tight end Josh Hill’s status will be worth following throughout the remainder of the week. Hill’s concussion was described as ‘mild’ and the tight end was limited in Wednesday’s practice.

The injury reports published by the Saints and the Panthers on Thursday is the second report for the week. A second, updated report will be released on Thursday. The final injury report with game status for certain players will be issued on Friday. Daily changes in practice participation are noted in bold text.

Michigan State Football vs. Rutgers Injury Report: Josiah Scott, Jalen Nailor should play

MSU faces Rutgers Saturday. Here is your injury update.

[jwplayer 2uGgaAG0]

On this week’s injury report, one thing sticks out more than other weeks, and that is the presence of Sophomore Wide Receiver Jalen Nailor, who hasn’t played in his last nine games. Here is your full injury report for Michigan State Football’s match-up Saturday against Rutgers.

In regards to Nailor:

“Jalen could have possibly played some (at Michigan), but he hadn’t practiced. He really only practiced on Thursday, so he hadn’t been hit, he hadn’t been jostled around – ball security, those type of things,” Dantonio said. “We wanted to give him an extra week to get his feet on the ground. But he’ll play. He practiced yesterday, so he’ll play in this football game.”

I’m not saying that Nailor has been the missing piece this season for the Spartans, but Michigan State hasn’t won a football game this season without Jalen Nailor (he only played against Tulsa). He’s not the missing piece, but he’s one of many.

  • Defensive Back Josiah Scott, who left the Illinois game with an injury, should be back this week as well, per Dantonio.
  • Left Tackle AJ Arcuri should be back in this game and play over the inexperienced Devontae Dobbs.
  • Darrell Stewart Jr. is expected to miss this week as well. Despite missing every game since Penn State, he’s still MSU’s leading receiver.
  • OffensiMatt Allen is still injured.
  • Backup lineman Tyler Higby should be available in this game.

WR DJ Chark amongst several players to surface on injury report after battle with Colts

Two of the Jags’ top receivers have found themselves on the injury report after Week 11’s loss to the Colts.

The Jacksonville Jaguars had just one player on their final injury report for Week 11 but exited the game with some new injuries to deal with. Receivers DJ Chark and Chris Conley seemingly were amongst those players who sustained injuries during the Jags’ last game against the Indianapolis Colts as both surfaced on the team’s first injury report for Week 12 with hamstring injuries. Despite their injuries, however, both players were limited.

Joining Chark and Conley as limited participants were nickelback D.J. Hayden (hip/wrist), center Brandon Linder (shoulder) and defensive lineman Calais Campbell (back). All three were on Week 11’s injury report as well, however, Hayden was on the report with a different injury (neck/shoulder).

Offensive tackle Cam Robinson (knee) and safety Ronnie Harrison (eye) were full participants Wednesday after surfacing on the injury report with the same injuries they had on Week 11’s report.

The Jags’ lone non-participant who surfaced on Wednesday’s injury report was tight end Seth DeValve (oblique), who was the only player on Week 11’s final injury report and missed last Sunday’s game.

Falcons Week 12 injury report: 7 players miss practice on Wednesday

Those who sat out included QB Matt Ryan, TE Austin Hooper, RB Devonta Freeman and DE Adrian Clayborn. While this many players missing practice would normally be a bad sign, it’s more likely that the team is just being overly cautious.

The Falcons got back to work on Wednesday after their Week 11 win over the Panthers, but seven players did not participate in practice.

Those who sat out included QB Matt Ryan, TE Austin Hooper, RB Devonta Freeman and DE Adrian Clayborn. While this many players missing practice would normally be a bad sign, it’s more likely that the team is just being overly cautious.

Atlanta is on a two-game winning streak, and while Freeman and Hooper are unlikely to play in Sunday’s game against the Panthers, the rest of the injuries aren’t as concerning.
