Five-star safety Terrion Arnold from John Paul II Catholic High School in Tallahassee, Florida, has committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide. Arnold was Georgia’s top remaining target in the class of 2021.

Arnold is a versatile prospect, who has spent some time playing cornerback and wide receiver in addition to safety. The five-star exhibits impressive ball skills in jump ball situations. He’s a willing tackler and has the ability to play as a freshman.

Arnold was considering Georgia, Alabama, and Florida. The No. 2 rated safety in the country announced his commitment on ESPN. Arnold’s decision isn’t shocking, but he cements Alabama’s recruiting class as one of the best ever.

Nick Saban and Alabama football aren’t going anywhere for a long time. That’s bad news for Georgia and the rest of college football.

Georgia’s 2021 national signing day has been a quite one. Fortunately, the Bulldogs landed a commitment from four-star defensive tackle Bear Alexander.

Georgia football recruiting offers 4-star OLB scholarship

The University of Georgia football program has also offered a scholarship to Travious Lathan

The Georgia Bulldogs are heating up on the recruiting trail. Kirby Smart and company recently got a commitment from a three-star wide receiver in Jackson Meeks.

The University of Georgia has also offered a scholarship to Travious Lathan. Lathan is a member of the class of 2022, so he’s currently a junior in high school at Gulliver Prep in Miami, Florida.

Lathan is a four-star outside linebacker, who has already received recruiting interest from Miami, Florida, Florida State, Oregon, Michigan, and more. The Gulliver Prep star is a versatile athlete, who can play safety as well as outside linebacker. Modern defenses covet versatility and fluid athleticism as much as any traits nowadays.

Can Georgia pull yet another talented recruit away from the Sunshine State? The past several recruiting classes, the typical in-state powerhouses in Florida (Miami, FSU, and Florida) have all struggled to keep the state’s best talent from leaving. Georgia, Alabama, and Clemson are among the top out of state schools at recruiting Florida.

Lathan announced his scholarship offer via his Twitter account:

Congratulations to Lathan and best of luck to him throughout his high school career. We’ll update you if he releases a list of top schools or makes a commitment.

Georgia RB commit Lovasea Carroll re-affirms commitment

Georgia Bulldogs running back commitment Lovasea Carroll considered flipping to the Florida Gators.

4-star running back Lovasea Carroll has been committed to the University of Georgia since April, but recently considered backing off his commitment to the Bulldogs.

Carroll tweeted on Friday that a “business decision is coming,” which caused many to believe that he was on the verge of announcing a decommitment from UGA.

Carroll set the record straight in an open and honest manner:

It’s great news for Georgia Bulldogs fans that Carroll is looking to stick with his commitment to UGA. Carroll admits that he considered flipping to Florida for more playing time, but he’s looking at the big picture and thinks he’d be better off in Athens.

It’s not a bad idea for Carroll, who could save valuable wear and tear on his body if he ends up behind talented backs at Georgia. Running backs tend to have some of the shortest NFL careers. Much of this is due to the injuries that commonly mount up at the position.

Carroll, out of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, ranks as the nation’s No. 103 prospect and No. 6 running back in the class of 2021. Carroll is a Warrenton, Georgia native.

Carroll chose Georgia over South Carolina, Florida, Auburn and Ohio State. At The Opening Regional in March of 2019, Carroll ran a 4.56 40-time and recorded a 36.3 inch vertical.

Georgia’s gain in Carroll is Florida’s loss. The Gators desperately need a running back recruit:

Four-star WR Romello Brinson releases his top five

Four-star WR Romelllo Brinson puts the Georgia Bulldogs, LSU Tigers, Alabama Crimson Tide, and more into his top five. He excluded Florida.

The Georgia Bulldogs are among the top schools for Miami Northwestern’s Romello Brinson. Brinson is a four-star receiver in the class of 2021 and is six feet, two inches tall. He weighs 185 pounds.

Brinson plays against some of the country’s elite high school competition in Florida. He was originally committed to the Miami Hurricanes, but de-committed late last year.

Brinson released his list of top schools via Twitter. He puts Georgia, LSU, Alabama, Miami, and Texas A&M in his top five. He trimmed the Florida Gators off his initial list of top schools. Brinson unofficially visited both Georgia and LSU before the quarantine.

The four-star receiver is a product of the renowned Miami Northwestern High School, which has produced numerous NFL and college talents. One of their latest NFL Draft picks is former Georgia Bulldog and Jim Thorpe Award winner DeAndre Baker.

Brinson has lots of time to decide among his top schools. Recruits are committing earlier this year, so fans should anticipate a good amount of de-commitments later in the recruiting cycle.

UGA’s recruiting class of 2021 is heating up. Kirby Smart and his staff are offering scholarships to various members of the class and have secured seven commitments thus far.

5-star WR Mario Williams, a Georgia and Oklahoma target, makes commitment

4-star WR Mario Williams, a UGA football and Oklahoma Sooners target, made his commitment on Friday.

On Friday, 2021 5-star wide receiver Mario Williams announced his decision.

The Plant City, Florida native was considering Georgia, Florida, Oklahoma, Alabama and LSU.

Williams announced his commitment to Oklahoma via Twitter. He is the nation’s No. 12 overall recruit according to Rivals.

Georgia is still in good shape for the 2021 class despite missing out on Williams. Right now, Georgia has the nation’s 17th ranked recruiting class (per 247Sports), headlined by 5-star quarterback Brock Vandagriff.

Kirby Smart has plenty of time to climb the rankings and still finish with a top-three class, something he’s done in three consecutive seasons.

As for Oklahoma, the Sooners really needed a commitment, and now have the nation’s No. 31 ranked class. Williams is their highest rated commit.

Commitment day for UGA, Oklahoma football recruiting target

Mario Williams, a four-star Georgia and Oklahoma recruiting target, is making his commitment. He plays football at Plant City in Florida

The Georgia Bulldogs are in the top schools for 2021 wide receiver Mario Williams. Williams is a talented four-star recruit, who plays high school football for Plant City High School in Florida.

Williams is an explosive athlete with a smaller frame. Here’s who elite wide receiver Mario Williams put in his top schools:

Williams is picking between four SEC teams: LSU, Georgia, Florida, Alabama and one Big-12 team in Oklahoma. Georgia is continuing to battle the Florida Gators for talented recruits in the Sunshine State.

In recent years, elite talent in Florida has been eluding the traditional in-state programs to go to Alabama, Clemson, Georgia and others. Mario Williams is a high-stakes recruit because if he doesn’t come to Athens, then the Dawgs will play against him, unless he goes to Oklahoma.

Williams is actually favored to attend Oklahoma. That being said, he’s making his commitment May 15th at noon, so Dawg fans won’t have to wait long to find out where he’s headed.
