A member of Alabama’s 2022 recruiting class has announced his departure from the program.
[autotag]Dayne Shor[/autotag], an offensive lineman from Alpharetta, Ga., announced via Twitter Sunday that he has committed to UConn from the Transfer Portal.

Shor, a previous commit to UConn, leaves Alabama after just one semester at the University. In a report by On3, Barkley Truax cited Shor’s recent struggles with mental health. After announcing his decision to enter the transfer portal, Shor opened up about his mental health.

In the tweet, Shor revealed that he has suffered through the pain of depression and anxiety. He also showed appreciation towards the Herren Project, as well as everyone at Alabama for supporting him in his efforts to “better himself.”
Shor, who began his career at Denmark High School in Alpharetta, Ga. before finishing his high school career at IMG Academy, was the no. 34 OT in the nation, and the no. 35 overall prospect from the Peach State. Alabama landed the no. 2 overall recruiting class for the 2022 cycle, landing behind just Texas A&M for the top spot.
