2023 Women’s World Cup: Australia vs. Denmark odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Monday’s Australia vs. Denmark odds and lines, with Women’s World Cup soccer expert picks, predictions and best bets.

In a Round of 16 matchup, Australia (2-0-1) and Denmark (2-0-1) meet Monday in the 2023 Women’s World Cup at Stadium Australia in Sydney. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 a.m. ET (FS1). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Australia vs. Denmark odds, and make our best Women’s World Cup bets, picks and predictions.

Australia ended up winning Group B, just edging out surprising Nigeria, which beat the Matildas in group play. Australia ended up notching 7 goals in the 3 games, while conceding just 3. The Aussies routed Canada 4-0 last time out, putting an exclamation point on the group after a slow start.

Australia star striker Sam Kerr has been unable to feature in any of the 3 games to date, as she has dealt with a calf ailment. It’s uncertain if Kerr will be able to play vs. Denmark. She was an unused substitute against Canada last time out.

Denmark ended up in 2nd place in Group D, just getting by China 1-0, falling to table-topper England 1-0, and beating Haiti 2-0.

The Danes have never won a World Cup knockout game. These teams met in an international friendly last year, with Denmark opening with the 1st goal, while Australia rattled off 3 unanswered markers to win 3-1.

  • Moneyline: Australia -110 (bet $110 to win $100) | Denmark +300 (bet $100 to win $300) | Draw +230
  • Over/Under: 2.5 (O: +130 | U: -185)

Australia vs. Denmark picks and predictions

Prediction

Australia 1, Denmark 0

Moneyline (ML)

AUSTRALIA (-110) will have the home-pitch advantage in Sydney against a Denmark (+300) team, which is a big underdog, and a side that has never won a Round of 16 match.

The Aussies can win this one with or without Kerr, although the addition of the star striker would be huge against a Danish defense that has been extremely turgid during this tourney.

Over/Under (O/U)

UNDER 2.5 GOALS (-185) should come through, although that’s a pretty heavy price tag. The Matildas did see 4 or more goals in each of the previous 2 matches, notching 6 goals while conceding 3. However, Denmark’s defense will offer a lot more resistance, and the stakes are much higher, too, so the intensity will be ratcheted up tremendously.

If you’re a little less on the conservative side, and enjoy adventure, consider UNDER 1.5 REGULAR TIME GOALS (+165) at plus-money. If this game ends in a scoreless draw, or a 1:0 decision either way in regular time, you’d be a winner.

In addition, under the “both teams to score and total goals” prop section, I like NO AND UNDER 4.5 GOALS (-150).

2023 Women’s World Cup: England vs. Nigeria odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Monday’s England vs. Nigeria odds and lines, with Women’s World Cup soccer expert picks, predictions and best bets.

In the Round of 16, England battles Nigeria Monday. Kickoff from Suncorp Stadium is set for 3:30 a.m. ET. Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the England vs. Nigeria odds, and make our best Women’s World Cup bets, picks and predictions.

England has a strong group stage showing, taking down Haiti and Denmark both 1-0 and then capping it off with a 6-1 win over China. It finished atop Group D, having scored 8 goals and allowed 1. It was just one of 3 teams to win all 3 matches. England sits 4th in the world per FIFA Women’s Rankings. F Lauren James led the team with 3 group stage goals.

Nigeria wasn’t quite as impressive, but it did enough to pull off an unlikely advance, sending home two top-25 nations, Canada and Ireland. Nigeria beat Australia, which won the group, 3-2. It had 0-0 draws in both of its other matches. Nigeria might have been an underdog in both matches against Ireland and Canada, but it left having tallied 10+ shots. It ranks 40th in the world.

  • Over/Under: 2.5 (O: -110 | U: -125)

England vs. Nigeria picks and predictions

Prediction

England 2, Nigeria 0

Moneyline (ML)

PASS.

There’s just no value here. The books heavily juiced BOTH TEAMS NOT TO SCORE, currently at (-225), likely meaning they do not expect Nigeria to get on the board.

England has scored in every game during the World Cup and destroyed top-15 China in its last group stage match. Expect a rout here, but don’t place a moneyline wager as England (-300) is far too expensive.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET UNDER 2.5 (-125).

Nigeria has a strong defense, and although it was dominated in possession by both Ireland and Canada, it still found a way to hold the two nations scoreless. Ireland was limited to just 1 shot on goal despite being ranked 22nd in the world.

Nigeria has allowed 2 goals through 3 matches and allowed a combined 4 shots on goal against Canada and Ireland. I expect England to come out on top, but it had just 2 goals in its group stage matches aside from the 6-1 thrashing of China.

Nigeria’s defense is its strength while England’s offense has struggled despite its continued winning. Ultimately, take UNDER 2.5 (-125).

2023 Women’s World Cup: Sweden vs. USA odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Sweden vs. USA odds and lines, with Women’s World Cup soccer expert picks, predictions and best bets.

Sweden battles USA in the Round of 16 Sunday. Kickoff from Melbourne Rectangular Stadium is set for 5 a.m. ET (FOX). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Sweden vs. USA odds, and make our best Women’s World Cup bets, picks and predictions.

Sweden looked every bit of a team that could win the 2023 Women’s World Cup. It won all 3 group stage games, scoring 9 goals and allowing just 1. It beat South Africa 2-1, Italy 5-0 and Argentina 2-1. Sweden has a plethora of high-caliber players, but few in the tournament are more experienced than M Caroline Seger, who is the captain and has 200+ caps.

Sweden sits 3rd in the FIFA Women’s Rankings, only behind Germany (eliminated in group stage) and USA.

While the pre-tournament favorite, USA had a poor showing in the group stage and qualified with 1 more point than Portugal. It drew Portugal 0-0, drew Netherlands 1-1 and beat Vietnam 3-0. The concerning parts lie in how it has possessed. It had just 44% possession in its draws against Netherlands and Portugal2 games it was significantly favored in.

Sweden vs. USA odds

Provided by BetMGM Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Saturday at 9:13 a.m. ET.

  • Moneyline: Sweden +225 (bet $100 to win $225) | USA +125 (bet $100 to win $125) | Draw +210
  • Over/Under: 2.5 (O: +135 | U: -190)

Sweden vs. USA picks and predictions

Prediction

USA 1, Sweden 1 (Sweden advances in penalty kicks)

Moneyline (ML)

SPRINKLE DRAW (+210).

The USA is far better than it has played, and while I expect it to be sent home, the full-time battle should be a close one. USA had 2 group-stage draws, both of which it had more shots yet less possession.

Sweden dominated weaker opponents as it should have but it needed a 90th-minute goal to beat South Africa, the other team that qualified from Group G. Sweden has the experience and defensive aptitude to limit the United States, much like the Netherlands did.

Sweden had just 8 shots on frame against it throughout the first 3 matches. It also owned the majority of possession. These teams are as close as it gets, and for this value, back a full-time DRAW (+210).

Over/Under (O/U)

PASS. BET BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE – YES (+105).

Both teams have scored in every game outside of USA’s 0-0 draw with Portugal. Even in that game, the USA had 6 shots on frame. I wouldn’t be confident in the teams combining for Over 2.5 goals, but each has strong midfield play and should be able to have ample opportunities in the final 3rd.

USA has had at least 4 shots on goal in each match and at least 10 shots in each. Sweden hasn’t faced a team in the top 10, so its 1 goal allowed through the 3 matches isn’t quite as notable. It should feel some pressure from an athletic USA front.

Sweden has averaged 3 goals per game and notched 3 on Norway in its final World Cup tune-up match in April as well. While many goals being scored may not be likely, expect both to get on the board.

Take BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE (+105).

2023 Women’s World Cup: Netherlands vs. South Africa odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Netherlands vs. South Africa odds and lines, with Women’s World Cup soccer expert picks, predictions and best bets.

In a third Round of 16 matchup in the 2023 Women’s World Cup, Netherlands takes on South Africa Saturday. Kickoff from Allianz Stadium is set for 10 p.m. ET (FOX). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Netherlands vs. South Africa odds, and make our best Women’s World Cup bets, picks and predictions.

Netherlands finished atop Group E with 7 points. It beat Portugal 1-0 to open up its World Cup on July 23 then drew the United States 1-1 on July 26. It finished its group stage with a 7-0 win over Vietnam Tuesday. It ended with 9 goals for and 1 against which was tied for the 2nd-best goal differential in the tournament. Netherlands sits 9th in the FIFA Women’s Ranking.

South Africa is among the surprise nations to qualify for the Round of 16, ranking 54th. It finished 2nd in Group G, beating out Argentina and Italy, both nations ranked higher than it. South Africa was 1-1-1 in the group stage, scoring 6 goals and allowing 6. It opened with a 2-1 loss vs. Sweden despite scoring first, then drew Argentina 2-2 and shocked Italy 3-2 Wednesday.

  • Over/Under: 3.5 (O: +105 | U: -145)

Netherlands vs. South Africa picks and predictions

Prediction

Netherlands 2, South Africa 1

Moneyline (ML)

PASS.

There’s just no value here. Netherlands is the better side, and South Africa struggled against both Italy and Argentina, giving up 4 combined goals to them, and it lost to Sweden with just 31% possession. Netherlands (-415) isn’t worth a wager though: it’s simply too expensive.

The better bet is BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE (-120).

South Africa averaged 2 goals per game and scored on Sweden, striking first in the match. It scored 3 on Italy and 2 on Argentina. Its struggle is defensive, so expect the Netherlands to get on the board.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET UNDER 3.5 (-145).

The two matches between top sides within each nation’s respective group stage were South Africa against Sweden and USA against Netherlands. Both games went Under this total. Netherlands scored just 1 on the USA and had just 5 shots.

South Africa ended with minimal possession and 4 shots on frame against Sweden while limiting Sweden to 6 shots on frame — and Sweden is arguably among the best nations in the world.

Netherlands destroyed Vietnam, but it struggled to get on the board against Portugal, scoring just once. It allowed just 1 goal throughout the 3 matches and should showcase that strong defense Saturday.

Back UNDER 3.5 (-145).

2023 Women’s World Cup: Japan vs. Norway odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Japan vs. Norway odds and lines, with Women’s World Cup soccer expert picks, predictions and best bets.

Japan battles Norway in the Round of 16 Saturday. Kickoff from Wellington Regional Stadium is set for 4 a.m. ET (FS1). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Japan vs. Norway odds, and make our best Women’s World Cup bets, picks and predictions.

Japan had arguably 1 of the most impressive group stage showings. It beat Zambia 5-0 on July 22, Costa Rica 2-0 on the 26th and Spain 4-0 on July 31. It did have just 23% possession against Spain but still managed 5 more shots on frame. Japan ended at the top of Group C with 11 goals for and 0 against. Sweden, England and Japan were the lone nations to win all 3 matches.

It sits 11th in the FIFA Women’s Rankings. Norway sits 12th. Norway advanced after finishing 2nd in Group A, which was won by Switzerland. Norway had 6 goals for and 1 against. That 1 against resulted in a 1-0 loss to New Zealand. It drew Switzerland and then advanced on goal differential after demolishing the Philippines 6-0. In its most difficult matchup, a 0-0 draw with Switzerland, it ended with 4 more shots on goal and 51% possession.

  • Over/Under: 2.5 (O: +125 | U: -175)

Japan vs. Norway picks and predictions

Prediction

Japan 1, Norway 1 (Norway advances in extra time)

Moneyline (ML)

SPRINKLE DRAW (+240).

Japan and Spain played with Costa Rica and Zambia in Group C, which was among the more top-heavy parings. Japan dominated everyone but Spain, and even beat La Roja 4-0.

Japan is skilled, but the concern is how it beat Spainpossessing for a fraction of the match and ending with 3 fewer shots. Norway, even in its draw and loss, had more shots and looked like the better side. That should bode well for it against Japan.

Norway has drawn against France (No. 5 in FIFA rankings) and Sweden (No. 3) this year. It should be able to compete at a high level, and against a favored Japan, a DRAW (+240) is worth a play.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET UNDER 2.5 (-175).

Norway’s offense has not performed well. That almost cannot be stated loud enough as it scored 0 goals in its 2 toughest matchups and got through by pounding the Philippines 6-0. Its defense has been terrific though, allowing just 1 goal and minimum shots on goal.

Japan is in a similar boat. It thrashed the teams it should have, and then it clobbered Spain in a game that only mattered for seeding. Japan scored 11 goals through 3 matches and allowed 0. Norway’s defense and pace should help slow the game down and make Japan’s attack less lethal.

The juice is there, and it is borderline unplayable. However, at these odds, I like UNDER 2.5 (-175).

2023 Women’s World Cup: Switzerland vs. Spain odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Switzerland vs. Spain odds and lines, with Women’s World Cup soccer expert picks, predictions and best bets.

Switzerland takes on Spain in the Round of 16 Saturday. Kickoff from Eden Park is set for 1 a.m. ET (FS1) Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Switzerland vs. Spain odds, and make our best Women’s World Cup bets, picks and predictions.

Switzerland finished atop Group A with 5 points from 1 win and 2 draws and a +2 goal differential. It opened the group play with a 2-0 victory over the Philippines before notching 2 scoreless draws with New Zealand and Norway. This game should closely resemble its match with Norway, in which it had 49% possession and 8 shots. Switzerland, coming into the World Cup, placed as the 20th-best team per FIFA Women’s Ranking.

Spain entered ranked 6th and is among the favorites to win the tournament. It finished 2nd in Group C, finishing with 6 points via 2 wins and a loss. It opened with a 3-0 win over Costa Rica and a 5-0 victory over Zambia before being blanked 4-0 by Japan. It did end with 3 more shots than Japan and 77% possession, so from a technical perspective it was a fine performance outside of the final on the scoreboard.

  • Over/Under: 2.5 (O: -105 | U: -135)

Switzerland vs. Spain picks and predictions

Prediction

Spain 1, Switzerland 0

Moneyline (ML)

PASS.

Many nations haven’t found it easy to score goals in the Women’s World Cup, and Switzerland is one of them, notching just 2 goals in 3 games.

That’s going to be problematic against Spain (-255), who scored 8. Spain might have been blown out in a game that didn’t impact if it would advance, but it is still the more technically sound and should be able to handle the pressure better.

Nonetheless, there’s no value in betting it to win outright. If anything, a Draw (+360) makes some sense considering the Swiss drew 2 top-30 nations, but I would pass here.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET UNDER 2.5 (-135).

There were 8 shots on goal against Switzerland throughout its Group Stage matches. That is mighty impressive defense and should serve as the key reason why Spain may be limited.

Despite Spain’s dominant efforts so far, it tallied all of its goals against Costa Rica and Zambia in one of the weaker groups. Against a nation that can possess like Switzerland, it may struggle to produce as many opportunities.

On the flip side, the Swiss had just 3 shots on goal against New Zealand and Norway combined. It should struggle to get quality chances as well.

Considering how both teams played in the group stage, take UNDER 2.5 (-135).

2023 Women’s World Cup: Morocco vs. Colombia odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s Morocco vs. Colombia odds and lines, with Women’s World Cup soccer expert picks, predictions and best bets.

Morocco (1 win, 0 draws, 1 loss) takes on Colombia (2-0-0) in both nation’s last group stage match Thursday. Kickoff from nib Stadium is set for 6 a.m. ET. Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Morocco vs. Colombia odds, and make our best Women’s World Cup bets, picks and predictions.

Morocco was destroyed in its Group H opener, losing 6-0 to Germany. Germany ended with 16 shots and 7 on frame, which compared favorably to Morocco’s 6 and 4. Morocco did beat South Korea 1-0 Sunday. South Korea had 16 shots but none on frame. Morocco ended with 2 on frame and the lone goal of the game. Per the FIFA Women’s Ranking, Morocco sits as the 72nd-best nation.

Colombia has been among the most impressive nations at the World Cup. It sits 25th in the world yet took down No. 2 Germany. Colombia beat Germany 2-1 in its second match and South Korea 2-0 to open up its tournament play. It had more shots on goal than both its opponents, outnumbering Germany 4 to 2.

  • Over/Under: 2.5 (O: +120 | U: -165)

Morocco vs. Colombia picks and predictions

Prediction

Colombia 2, Morocco 1

Moneyline (ML)

PASS.

Colombia has been very impressive so far, but the main concern is that it didn’t crush South Korea as it should’ve. It won 2-0, owning possession for 57% of the match and having just 2 more shots on frame. That should make bettors hesitant to back a (-200) favorite, especially one that sat outside of the top 20 nations before the tournament.

Similarly, Morocco has not played well and gave up 16 shots to South Korea. Expect Colombia to have a heyday with its porous defense. Ultimately, given the values, pass on a moneyline wager.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET OVER 2.5 (+120).

Columbia’s offense has been dynamic while Morocco’s defense has been subpar. Columbia ended the match with 17 shots on South Korea. It had 9 on Germany. It has had 4 goals and 9 shots on goal through 2 matches. Colombia only needs a draw to win the group and could lay off the gas late.

Morocco allowed 16 shots to South Korea and Germany yet conceived only 2 goals. If Colombia gets off 16 shots, it should get at least 2 in the back of the net. Throughout the 2 matches, it also had 16 shots and put 6 of those on frame, so it isn’t too unlikely Morocco also finds a way to get on the board.

Morocco’s strength has not been its defense while Colombia has won so far with its press and technical finishing. Expect it to break through often. Take OVER 2.5 (+120).

2023 Women’s World Cup: South Korea vs. Germany odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s South Korea vs. Germany odds and lines, with Women’s World Cup soccer expert picks, predictions and best bets.

South Korea (0-0-2) takes on Germany (1-0-1) in each nation’s final Group H match Thursday. Kickoff from Brisbane Stadium is set for 6 a.m. ET (FOX). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the South Korea vs. Germany odds, and make our best Women’s World Cup bets, picks and predictions.

Germany entered the World Cup as one of the favorites to come out with the trophy. It looked every bit of that in a 6-0 win over Morocco to open up its tournament play on July 24. However, it lost 2-1 against Columbia Sunday, despite finishing with 5 more shots and 2 fewer shots on target. It also dominated possession with the ball for 68% of the match. Germany is FIFA’s 2nd ranked team in the world and will need a win to secure its advance to the knockout stage.

South Korea has disappointed with a 2-0 tournament-opening loss to Colombia on July 24 and a 1-0 loss to Morocco Sunday. It had just 2 fewer shots on goal than Colombia and managed just 43% possession. Against Morocco, it finished with 16 shots but none on frame. South Korea sits 17th in the FIFA World Rankings and cannot advance past this round even with a massive upset of Germany.

  • Over/Under: 2.5 (O: -160 | U: +115)

South Korea vs. Germany picks and predictions

Prediction

Germany 4, South Korea 1

Moneyline (ML)

PASS.

While I wouldn’t call it a must-win scenario for Germany it could still be a vital game that it wouldn’t want to risk losing. Germany should be at the top of its game and is among the best nations in the world. It is a justified (-500) favorite but is far too expensive to play outright.

South Korea has lost both games and not even a draw is worth backing here.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET OVER 2.5 (-155).

Germany should be able to easily break through a porous South Korea defense. Germany will also have a physicality edge which should help it get more opportunities in front of goal. It scored 6 on Morocco.

Germany’s defense has also been subpar this year. It has allowed a goal in 4 of its last 5 games and allowed a goal to Vietnam and 3 to Zamia in summer friendlies. South Korea hasn’t scored yet in this tournament, but it managed 3 shots on goal against Colombia and 16 shots against Morocco. It could slip one past Germany here.

Expect a high-scoring game as South Korea should be playing with nothing to lose and Germany should want to dominate for the sake of its spot in the next round. Bet OVER 2.5 (-155).

2023 Women’s World Cup: Panama vs. France odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Panama vs. France odds and lines, with Women’s World Cup soccer expert picks, predictions and best bets.

Panama (0-0-2 / W-D-L) battles France (1-1-0) Wednesday from Sydney Football Stadium. Kickoff in each nation’s final Group F battle is set for 6 a.m. ET (FS1). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Panama vs. France odds, and make our best Women’s World Cup bets, picks and predictions.

Generally speaking, France is primed to advance to the knockout round. It would need a loss and a Brazil-Jamaica draw, both of which are unlikely. France drew Jamaica 0-0 July 23. It had 8 more shots and 3 more on frame than Jamaica. It had 72% possession as well, which suggests it dominated the pace. France then beat Brazil 2-1 Saturday, ending with 8 more shots. France sits 5th in the FIFA Women’s Rankings.

Panama’s tournament will end in the group stage, but do not expect it to roll over here. Panama lost 1-0 to Jamaica Saturday, despite having as many shots on goal. It did have 52% of the game’s possession as well. It lost 4-0 to open its World Cup against Brazil July 24, having been peppered by 32 shots. Panama ranks 52nd in the world.

Panama vs. France picks and predictions

Prediction

France 3, Panama 0

Moneyline (ML)

PASS.

France is 1 of the best teams in the tournament, and it needs a win to come out of the group on top. It should put any questioning regarding the outcome of the game away early. It should’ve beaten Jamaica and did end up toppling Brazil. Panama is the least technically-skilled side in the group.

This game will likely resemble the 4-0 Brazil victory over Panama. However, at (-5000), there’s no play here. It is just too expensive to suggest. Similarly, betting against France here also makes little sense.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET UNDER 4.5 (-155).

The question is: Can France dominate enough to score more than 4 goals?

I would hesitate to assume that if France gets up 2-0 or 3-0, it keeps the pedal to the metal. It has scored 3+ goals in just 3 of its last 12 games. It has topped 3 goals in just 2 of its last 12 games.

Panama did allow just 4 shots on goal to Jamaica and 10 to Brazil. It has given up 5 goals through 2 matches. It has yet to score in the tournament, so it is safe to say it should be held without a goal in this one too.

Expect France to put the brakes on while also holding Panama without a goal. Take UNDER 4.5 (-155).

2023 Women’s World Cup: Jamaica vs. Brazil odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Jamaica vs. Brazil odds and lines, with Women’s World Cup soccer expert picks, predictions and best bets.

Jamaica (1-1-0 / W-D-L) takes on Brazil (1-0-1) Wednesday from Melbourne Rectangular Stadium. Kickoff in each nation’s last group stage match is set for 6 a.m. ET. Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Jamaica vs. Brazil odds, and make our best Women’s World Cup bets, picks and predictions.

Jamaica opened its World Cup play with a 0-0 draw against France on July 23. It had just 6 shots, 2 of which were on frame, while France had 14 and 5, respectively. F Khadija Shaw received a red and missed Jamaica’s 1-0 win over Panama Saturday, but should be back and rested now. Jamaica had 20 shots and 4 on target, despite having just 48% possession. It ranks 43rd in the FIFA Women’s Ranking.

Brazil comes in virtually needing a win to advance to the knockout round. France will be a heavy favorite against Panama. A French win and Jamaican draw would send Brazil home. Brazil sits 8th in the world ranking. It beat Panama 4-0 to open its group matches and had 32 shots, 10 of which were on frame. Against France — a 2-1 loss — it had just 2 shots on target, which was 5 fewer than France’s 7.

  • Moneyline: Jamaica +1200 (bet $100 to win $1,200) | Brazil -450 (bet $450 to win $100) | Draw +500
  • Over/Under: 2.5 (O: -160 | U: +115)

Jamaica vs. Brazil picks and predictions

Prediction

Brazil 2, Jamaica 0

Moneyline (ML)

PASS.

Brazil will have its back against the wall but was dominant against Panama, a team that is comparable to Jamaica in technical ability. Brazil is expected to hold Jamaica scoreless as BOTH TEAMS NOT TO SCORE is listed at (-190).

Brazil scored on France and peppered 32 shots at Panama. It should be able to get through a Jamaica defense that has been surprisingly resilient throughout its 1st 2 games. Jamaica did enough to beat Panama, but it had as many shots on goal and less possession.

Jamaica has 4 points through 2 matches, but it hasn’t been as impressive as Brazil. Brazil has no value at (-450), nor does betting against the top-10 nation.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET UNDER 2.5 (+115).

Jamaica has yet to allow a goal in the World Cup. With France and Panama having combined for just 9 shots on target, Jamaica’s backline has performed well, and while I expect it to lose, that line should be able to hold up well.

Brazil has scored 1 or fewer goals in 5 of 8 games in 2023. In games that were in the SheBelieves Cup, UEFA competitions for the World Cup, it has topped 1 goal in just 1 of 6 matches. Brazil has a strong, experienced attack and should win, but it likely won’t dominate Jamaica’s defense.

That said, take UNDER 2.5 (+115).
