Did the NFL scam the Commanders?

The NFL didn’t do the Commanders any favors by moving the Week 15 rematch to Sunday night. Why not Saturday night?

The NFL schedule-makers like their flexibility to rearrange the schedule in the later weeks of the season.

You probably are aware the Commanders’ Week 15 game against the Giants has been moved to the NBC Sunday Night Football game of the week at the 8 p.m. ET time slot. The game was previously scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m.

The Commanders, of course, could use the prime time exposure, yet seeing the Commanders are already scheduled to travel in Week 16 to San Francisco for a Saturday game makes this an even tougher task for the Commanders.

With a Sunday night Week 15 game kicking off at 8:20 p.m., the game would not end until roughly 11:30 p.m. This means Commanders players will not be getting to their homes from Landover until at least 3 to 4 a.m., Monday.

What’s more, when one looks at the 49ers’ Week 15 schedule, there is absolutely no way the league office overlooked the obvious fact that the 49ers will be playing on Thursday in Week 15. Consequently, the 49ers will have three more days of prep time and rest for a game where they are also the home team. In addition, the visiting team is playing the Sunday night game and will travel three time zones. Way to go, NFL.

If the league office wanted to flex the Commanders and Giants Week 15 game bad enough, why didn’t they flex it to Saturday night? They are playing games that Saturday. They certainly could have, as they flexed Miami at Buffalo to Saturday night.

A December game in Buffalo, not while the sun is shining in the afternoon, but in much colder temperatures in the dark of night? Even more, when are the Bills playing a team from south Florida? Come on, NFL. How hard are you trying here?

Each and every season there are such examples of the NFL simply not caring enough about scheduling integrity.  We have written about this before here at Commanders Wire.

Why doesn’t the NFL care enough to make better efforts at a level playing field in scheduling?

2022 NFL schedule: Game-by-game predictions for the Eagles after the bye

We’re predicting the outcome of the Philadelphia Eagles’ final 11 games after the Week 7 bye

The Eagles’ 2022 regular season NFL schedule was revealed back in May, and the team set out to improve on their 9-8 record from last season.

Philadelphia added Haason Reddick and Kyzir White during free agency and then, on draft night, swapped six picks for the chance to draft Jordan Davis and acquire wide receiver A.J. Brown from the Titans via a trade.

The schedule was considered favorable even though the Eagles entered the season facing four playoff teams from 2021, three from the NFC, along with the Titans, Cardinals, Cowboys, and Packers in high-profile matchups.

Last offseason, we predicted a 10-7 finish, and if not for Nick Sirianni benching his starters in the season finale, we would have prevailed.

We initially predicted a 12-5 finish to the regular season with a much-improved roster and star power on defense.

With Philadelphia undefeated heading into Week 8 and coming out of the bye, we are predicting the Eagles’ final 11 games of the 2022 NFL regular season.

NFL preseason predictions for every game and for all 32 teams, along with the schedules and projected win totals.

Yeah, we’re all about college football, but we’re into the NFL fun the rest of the week, too.

The NFL totals and overall predictions are much, much tougher than the college side. Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, Georgia – you pretty much know who the college stars are.

The Cincinnati Bengals of last year, the Any Given Sunday aspect, and all the uniformity of the NFL game make this far more interesting. The goal is to get the overall win totals close as possible, knowing that a few surprise teams  – for good and bad – will screw it all up.

Ranking each QB the Falcons will play against in 2022

Falcons 2022 Schedule: Ranking each QB that Atlanta will play against this season.

After spending the past 14 seasons as the starting quarterback for the Falcons, former No. 3 overall pick Matt Ryan was traded to the Indianapolis Colts for a third-round pick in March, starting a whole new era of football in Atlanta.

The team signed free agent Marcus Mariota and drafted Desmond Ridder as potential short-term and long-term replacements for Ryan. Whoever starts at QB for the Falcons this season is going to have to put up points in order to keep pace with some of the opposing signal-callers on the schedule.

We’ve ranked all 14 quarterbacks the team will play against this season.

NFL Network predicts the outcome of every Philadelphia Eagles game in 2022

The Eagles are on a break until the start of training camp in July, but that has stopped experts and prognosticators from predicting the team’s final record at the season’s end.

Philadelphia added Haason Reddick, James Bradberry, Kyzir White, Nakobe Dean, and Jordan Davis on defense while pulling off a draft night trade for former Titans star A.J. Brown, further increasing expectations.

We shared our way-too-early game-by-game predictions for the Eagles last week, and now, NFL Network’s Adam Rank is doing the same.

Here’s a look at how Rank sees each game shaking out for the Eagles in 2022, with his predictions for Philadelphia coming at the 2:09 mark of the video and lasting until the 4:17 mark.

The Buffalo Bills will kickoff their 2022 regular season campaign against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 1. Before that, there will be three exhibition games waiting for Buffalo in the preseason.

Of those, two will be broadcasted on NFL Network.

It was announced on Monday that NFL Network will carry 22 live preseason games this summer, and two of them are Bills matchups.

Buffalo’s first two games against the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos, respectively, will be shown on the league’s channel.

The Colts matchup is slated for a 4:00 p.m. kickoff on Aug. 13. The second one against the Broncos is on Aug. 20 at 1:00 p.m.

The third and final Buffalo preseason contest against the Carolina Panthers on Aug. 26 is the team’s only exhibition game that won’t be on NFL Network. It will still be carried locally.

2022 NFL schedule: Game-by-game predictions for the Eagles

Predicting the Philadelphia Eagles’ 2022 season, from Week 1 to Week 18

The Eagles 2022 regular season NFL schedule was revealed back in May and the team is set up to improve on their 9-8 record from last season.

Philadelphia added Haason Reddick and Kyzir White during free agency, and then on draft night, swapped six picks for the chance to draft Jordan Davis and acquire wide receiver A.J. Browns from the Titans via a trade.

The schedule is favorable despite the fact that the Eagles will face four playoff teams from 2021, three from the NFC, along with the Titans, Cardinals, Cowboys, and Packers in high-profile matchups.

The divisional opponents are set and Philadelphia will face off against the NFC North and the AFC South as part of the rotation of games.

Last offseason, we predicted a 10-7 finish, and if not for Nick Sirianni benching his starters in the season finale, we would have prevailed.

With a much-improved roster and star power on defense, we’re predicting a 12-5 finish to the regular season.
