After spending the past 14 seasons as the starting quarterback for the Falcons, former No. 3 overall pick Matt Ryan was traded to the Indianapolis Colts for a third-round pick in March, starting a whole new era of football in Atlanta.
The team signed free agent Marcus Mariota and drafted Desmond Ridder as potential short-term and long-term replacements for Ryan. Whoever starts at QB for the Falcons this season is going to have to put up points in order to keep pace with some of the opposing signal-callers on the schedule.
