Three-star 2021 athlete Beau Freyler, a player Paul Chryst and the Badgers had offered, announced yesterday on his Twitter page that he was committing to Iowa State.

The Colorado native also had offers from Arizona, Boston College, Michigan State, Nebraska and Washington State.

Freyler is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 13-ranked recruit from Colorado and his commitment to the Iowa State Cyclones sees Chryst’s No. 17-ranked 2021 recruiting class lose out on another key addition.

Wisconsin’s 2021 class remains led by four-star offensive tackles J.P. Benzschawel and Riley Mahlman, four-star safety Hunter Wohler and three-star recruits Bryan Sanborn and Antwan Roberts.

4-star DT and Georgia recruiting target sets new commitment date

4-star DT Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins, a Georgia football recruiting target, set a new commitment date.

Last week, 2021 four-star defensive tackle Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins released a top six of Georgia, North Carolina, Florida State, South Carolina, Penn State and Tennessee.

Prior to revealing his final group, the 6-foot-5-inch, 298-pounder tweeted that he would announce his decision on Sunday, May 17.

Shortly after, he decided he needed some more time to make this life-changing decision.

Ingram-Dawkins now has a new commitment date of June 26, which is his birthday.

“I’m committing June 26th, on my birthday,” Ingram-Dawkins said on Instagram Live.

247Sports has Ingram-Dawkins as the nation’s No. 17 ranked defensive tackle and as the top player in the state of South Carolina.

Per the composite rankings, he is considered the nation’s 408th overall player.

Per 247Sports, South Carolina is viewed as the leader for Ingram-Dawkins, with Georgia close behind.

But Ingram-Dawkins said he does not pay much attention to the crystal ball on his 247Sports player profile.

The crystal ball is their way of  projecting where a recruit will land by having  a few recruiting analysts make predictions for specific players.

Georgia offered him in January and got him on campus in early-March.

Oklahoma makes top 6 for 3-star 2021 WR Keon Coleman

Three-star class of 2021 wide receiver Keon Coleman announced his top six schools with the Sooners making the cut.

Oklahoma continues to pick up steam on the recruiting trail.

Three-star class of 2021 wide receiver Keon Coleman announced his top six schools with the Sooners making the cut.

The 6-foot-4, 182-pound Opelousas, Louisiana (Opelousas Catholic High School) native narrowed his choices down to Oklahoma, Florida State, Kansas, Mississippi State, Michigan State, and South Carolina. Coleman had offers from fellow Big 12 schools Baylor and Oklahoma State but they did not make the cut.

Per Rivals, Coleman is the No. 72 ranked wide receiver in the 2021 class and the No. 12 2021 recruit in the state of Louisiana.

The Sooners currently have 19 offers out on 2021 wideouts with nine of the 19 currently verbally committed and two of the 19 committed to Oklahoma (five-star Mario Williams and four-star Cody Jackson).

The Sooners currently have the No. 25 recruiting class in the nation per Rivals with seven commitments. So far the class is very balanced with four defensive commits and three offensive commits.

5-star CB Ga’Quincy McKinstry, a Georgia target, releases top-five

5-star CB Ga’Quincy McKinstry, a big-time Georgia football recruiting target, released his top-five schools on Sunday.

On Sunday, 2021 5-star cornerback Ga’Quincy McKinstry took to Twitter to release his top-five schools.

Out of Pinson Valley High School in Pinson, Alabama, McKinstry tweeted a top-five of Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, LSU and Clemson.

McKinstry ranks as the nation’s No. 23 overall player and as the No. 2 cornerback in the 2021 recruiting class.

According to 247Sports, Alabama is the favorite to land McKinstry, with LSU and Auburn also right there.

Georgia offered McKinstry in March of 2018.

A two-sport star, McKinstry is also a star on the Pinson Valley basketball team. He has won three state championships during his high school career — two in football and one in basketball.

As a cornerback, he earned Alabama Class 6A first-team all-state honors on defense as a sophomore.

Last season, he had 30 tackles, 12 pass breakups and six interceptions.

In addition to defensive back, he also plays wide receiver and kick returner for the Pinson Valley Indians.

Last season as a receiver, McKinstry finished with 47 catches for 700 yards and 12 touchdowns.

On Sunday, Ga’Quincy McKinstry tweeted a list of his top 5, and Alabama was on the list with LSU, Auburn, Georgia, and Clemson.

McKinstry is an incredible athlete. So much so that he’s not only a star two sport athlete, but he’s also as played defensive back, wide receiver and kick returner for the Pinson Valley Indians.

According to 247Sports composite rankings, McKinstry is listed as a 4 star CB. He’s also the top 2 player in the state of Alabama, as well as the 2nd best CB in the nation. Overall, he’s ranked as the 28th best player in the nation.

Last season, he finished with 47 catches for 700 yards, and12 touchdowns. He also returned 12 kickoffs for 183 yards, as well as one intercepted a pass on defense in 2019 for the Indians.

According to reports, McKinstryhas talked about playing basketball in college as well.

“He is a tremendous basketball player and athlete,” Indians’ coach Darrell Barber said. “He really only plays the sport three months out of the year right now. If he played 12 months, there is no doubt he would be the No. 1 basketball guy in the state. He has something you can’t teach. He’s special. Players like Ga’Quincy don’t come around often.”

For the Indians last season, he averaged 15 points, 5 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game and had 69 steals.

2021 4-star WR Keon Coleman puts Michigan State in top-6

Early on Sunday, 4-star tight end Michael Trigg put Michigan State in his top-20 for recruiting. Just a few hours later, Keon Coleman, the 4-star wide receiver from Opelousas, Louisiana put the Spartans in his top-6.

Michigan State originally offered Coleman back in mid-march and it looks like they have made a strong impression on the talented wide receiver who currently plays for Opelousas Catholic. The 6’4″ Coleman is the No. 8 ranked player in the state of Louisiana and the No. 48 ranked wide receiver in the 2021 recruiting class according to 247Sports.

Michigan State is joined by Florida State, South Carolina, Mississippi State, Kansas, and Oklahoma in Coleman’s top-6.

Oklahoma has had a lull in recruiting the Sooner state over recent history. That all is changing as Oklahoma is in the running or has already secured a verbal commitment from four of The Oklahoman’s ‘Super 30’ in-state prospects.

Beggs defensive back, Kendal Daniels tops the list. With Clemson, LSU, and Texas A&M all making a push for the three-star safety, Oklahoma has a good chance of keeping him at home.

Ethan Downs, a Weatherford defensive end comes in at No. 2. Downs verbally committed to the Sooners earlier this year.

Tulsa Union’s AJ Green, the third-ranked prospect by The Oklahoman, has quite a set of teams pursuing him. With those teams in pursuit, the Sooners may or may not get involved again.

Another defensive back, Choctaw’s Jordan Mukes cracked the top-10, coming in at No. 7. Mukes committed to Oklahoma back in March.

The Sooners are currently ranked No. 25 in the Rivals 2021 recruiting rankings with seven recruits including one five-star receiver, Mario Williams.

Michigan State has made the top-20 for the recruitment of 4-star tight end Michael Trigg out of Seffner Christian Academy.

Michigan State has taken a significant step forward in the recruitment of one of the top tight ends in the country as 2021 4-star TE Michael Trigg announced his top-20 on Sunday and the Spartans were included in that list.

Trigg is reportedly close with Spartan commit Charles Brantley, another 4-star player out of Florida. Trigg is the No. 3 ranked tight end in the 2021 class according to 247Sports and the No. 16 ranked player in the state of Florida. Trigg is currently projected by 247Sports to commit to Florida State but a lot could change before that commitment is made.

Trigg currently attends Seffner Christian Academy where he is also a talented basketball prospect. Rivals has him ranked as a 3-star shooting guard.
