2020 NFL Draft: Clint Lamb’s mock draft 3.0, picks 1-16

Alabama is expected to see several of its former players hear their names called during the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Previous pick: Chase Young, EDGE, Ohio State

Analysis: In the last mock draft, I had the Dolphins trading up to the No. 2 pick with Washington in order to get Tagovailoa, which opened the door for Detroit to land Young.

Now with the Redskins staying put and selecting Young for themselves, it makes sense for the Lions to move down a couple spots, accumulate a couple extra picks and still get the player they coveted at No.3.

Yes, the team did just sign Desmond Trufant to replace traded cornerback Darius Slay, but more help is needed in the secondary. Jeffrey Okudah is the perfect candidate to place opposite Trufant and give Matt Patricia’s defense a solid 1-2 on the perimeter.
