Trevor Daniel signs with Denver.

DENVER — Former University of Tennessee football player Trevor Daniel is looking to be in training camp for the Denver Broncos this summer.

Daniel, who finished the 2017 season at Tennessee with a 95.99 GPR punt rating, signed a reserve/future contract with the Broncos last December.

After his time on Rocky Top, Daniel a native of Dickson, Tenn. and graduate of Dickson County High School, was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Houston Texans in 2018.

With the Texans, he beat out longtime NFL punter Shane Lechler. During his first season with the team, Daniel had 74 punts and averaged 43.74 yards per kick.

He returned to Houston last season, but was waived on Sept. 17 after just two games.

The former Vol was replaced by veteran punter Bryan Anger, another NFL veteran.
