2020 NFL Draft: Clint Lamb’s mock draft 3.0, picks 1-16

Alabama is expected to see several of its former players hear their names called during the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Previous pick: Justin Herbert, QB, Oregon

Analysis: The Chargers still haven’t made a move for a quarterback in free agency, and until they do, I’ll continue to mock Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert to Los Angeles.

Tyrod Taylor is a fine bridge option at the position, but there is no way he’s the long-term option under center.

Another potential option to keep an eye on is former Auburn Heisman Trophy winner Cam Newton, who was recently released by the Panthers. If he ends up on the West Coast, I might have to change this pick to an offensive lineman such as Wills Jr.
