The 6-foot-6, 315-pound defensive lineman played at Georgia from 2019-2023. Logue appeared in 50 games including 16 starts during his time with UGA. Logue registered 52 tackles and 1 1/2 sacks during his Georgia career. He was part of the back-to-back national championship squads.

Logue profiles as a run-stuffer and will hope to play in his first career NFL snaps with the Buffalo Bills.

The Washington Commanders signed former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Jake Fromm. Fromm previously worked out for the Miami Dolphins and New York Giants.

Washington’s starting quarterback, Carson Wentz, is out for several weeks with a finger injury. Washington’s second-string quarterback, Taylor Heinicke, is projected to start for the next few weeks. Rookie quarterback Sam Howell is expected to back up Heinicke.

Washington signed Fromm to its practice squad. Fromm will have a chance to impress coaches there and is an option as a backup quarterback if the Commanders sustain more injuries at the position.

Georgia Bulldogs in NFL Week 3 action

Here’s how our top Bulldogs performed in NFL Week 3 action

Georgia football currently has 35 players in the NFL. Here’s how our top Bulldogs performed in week-three action.

What have we learned from Georgia football alumni at the NFL Combine?

In which we compile all of this week’s posts pertaining to former Bulldogs at this week’s NFL Scouting Combine

For those who can’t focus the ideal amount of attention to Georgia football news, I’ll compile some of this week’s posts pertaining to former Bulldogs at the NFL Scouting Combine:

Brian Herrien provides a recollection of Nick Chubb’s encouragement.

Both of Georgia’s invited tailbacks were faster than Florida’s only invited tailback.

D’Andre Swift proved speedier than his two most famous former teammates.

J.R. Reed can do it all.

Charlie Woerner is a man among boys.

In other news:

The basketball Bulldogs stuck out a nervous victory over Arkansas sealed by an Anthony Edwards dunk.

The baseball Bulldogs embarrassed Georgia Tech in Atlanta. Fewer than twenty hours prior, Scott Stricklin’s Bulldogs edged out the Yellow Jackets by a score of six to five.

Georgia football is recent history’s LBU

Is it possible to be both LBU and RBU? It is, because apparently the University of Georgia is, at least in the BCS and playoff eras.

The University of Georgia’s football program has long been known for its development of tailbacks and consequently stakes among the strongest claims to the title of RBU, or running back university. Ten tailbacks in the past 20 NFL Drafts have seen professional action by way of Athens, Georgia.

(Interesting piece of trivia: 34 Georgia running backs have been selected in the draft. That number looks a bit familiar when discussing Bulldog tailbacks.)

However, the Dawgs dominate at a different position at the NFL Draft, sending 20 linebackers to the National Football League, more than any other school can claim across the same span of time.

To put that number in perspective, only 14 Bulldog linebackers had been drafted prior to the year 2000.

(Which brings us to more happenstance trivia: that equates the total of tailbacks drafted from Georgia.)

Is it possible for one school to be both LBU and RBU? It is, because apparently the University of Georgia is, at least in the BCS and playoff eras.

It might have something to do with two incredibly talented position groups running into, over, but ultimately with each other across twenty years’ worth of practices.

Iron sharpens iron, et cetera, et cetera.

Former Georgia football WR arrives to stadium in costume (again)

Mecole Hardman entered Arrowhead Stadium this afternoon dressed as yet another pop culture icon ahead of the AFC Championship Game.

Is that the Fresh Prince of Broad Street? Former Georgia wide receiver Mecole Hardman entered Arrowhead Stadium this afternoon dressed as yet another pop culture icon ahead of the AFC Championship Game.

You may recall that last week the Kansas City Chiefs’ rookie standout arrived at his home stadium dressed as iconic rapper LL Cool J ahead of the divisional round matchup against the Houston Texans.

Hardman’s attention to detail was quite thorough: he showed up with a mid-1980’s boombox perched on his shoulder over a red felt tracksuit. He wore a gold chain thick enough to choke a man and expensive enough to bankrupt another.

This week, Hardman continued the theme. I just wish he found a jersey from Bel-Air Academy with the number 14 printed on it.

With a Sony Walkman in his pocket, Hardman even showed off another era-appropriate relic. DJ Jazzy Jeff is smiling somewhere in Philadelphia.

If the Chiefs want to increase the probability of making their first Super Bowl appearance since 1969, their recipe is simple: Don’t let any player named Carlton Banks touch the ball.
