Georgia football offers scholarship to WR Brandon Inniss

WR Brandon Inniss took to Twitter on Wednesday to announce an offer from Georgia football for the 2023 recruiting class.

There has been yet another reported scholarship offer by the Bulldogs, this time in the class of 2023 to wide receiver Brandon Inniss of University School in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Inniss took to Twitter Wednesday evening to announce Georgia’s offer.

In 2018, Inniss played on University School’s Varsity team as an eighth grader and in 2019, he was named a MaxPreps Freshman All-American, MVP of the Prime 239 7v7 Tournament and FBU All-American.

Inniss (6-1, 184) has a verified 40 time of 4.68 and a 4.44 shuttle as a freshman, which only can get better as he grows over the next few years.

Going into his sophomore season in 2020, Inniss already holds offers from Baylor, Florida, Florida State and now Georgia among 18 others.

He does not have any national rankings available at this time due to his age.

5-star UGA QB commit Brock Vandagriff recruiting top talent to Georgia

Georgia football 5-star QB commit Brock Vandagriff is doing some recruiting of his own on Twitter, encouraging prospects to sign with UGA.

Georgia’s 2021 recruiting class, led by 5-star quarterback commit Brock Vandagriff, is starting to take shape as we head into the summer.

Vandagriff, from Bogart, Georgia, plays for Prince Avenue Christian School and seems to be actively recruiting some of the most talented recruits to play along side him at UGA in 2021.

Tuesday, Vandagriff tweeted 5-star offensive tackle Amarius Mims from Cochran, Georgia, encouraging him to be the next piece of Georgia’s talented offensive line.

Mims (6-7, 315)  is rated as the No. 2 OT and the No. 1 player in Georgia, so we can’t blame Vandagriff for wanting Mims to protect his blindside next year.

Next, Vandagriff continued his recruiting on Twitter by tweeting 5-star linebacker Smael Mondon out of Dallas, Georgia.

Mondon (6-3, 220) is rated as the No. 2 OLB and the No. 3 player in Georgia.

According to the 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions, both Mims and Mondon are predicted to sign with Georgia.

I suppose we can add Vandagriff to the list of recruiters with Kirby Smart and the Georgia coaching staff. It’s always nice to see a young leader with the willingness to help his program before he even takes the field.

Clemson football coaches coming for Georgia baseball commit

Clemson football coaches are recruiting Georgia baseball commit Bubba Chandler to play QB for the Tigers.

Clemson quarterbacks coach Brandon Streeter and offensive coordinator Tony Elliott have been in touch with 2021 Georgia baseball commit Bubba Chandler.

Out of North Oconee High School in Bogart, Georgia, Chandler is a right-handed pitcher and shortstop. He committed to play baseball at UGA last June.

Clemson quarterback target Christian Veilleux committed to Penn State last week, leaving the Tigers looking for a signal caller in their 2021 class.

Though Chandler is committed to play baseball at Georgia, he has been picking up football offers lately from schools like UNC-Charlotte, Western Kentucky and Troy.

He said that the Auburn football program has also been recruiting him heavily.

Clemson is yet to offer Chandler, but the two sport star told TigerNet that if they do offer he would certainly give them a chance. He said he would love to play both sports in college.

Chandler has not yet been able to visit the Clemson campus, but it appears he is excited to do so when the lockdown is lifted.

As for Georgia, the Bulldogs already have another quarterback from Bogart committed in the 2021 class. That’s 5-star dual-threat Brock Vandagriff.

“I love UGA. But I love football as well,” Chandler told Clemson Insider. “I’m going to look over and consider any opportunity, such as Clemson.”

Georgia football offers scholarship to Caleb Johnson

Georgia football recruiting is going strong as Kirby Smart and UGA offered Caleb Johnson of the 2021 class.

The Georgia Bulldogs have extended a scholarship offer to 2021 prospect Caleb Johnson.

Johnson is a 3-star wide receiver out of Greenville, Texas.

247Sports has him as the nation’s 77th ranked wide receiver and No. 74 ranked player in Texas. 247 does not have national rankings available for Johnson at the moment.

Johnson is a speedster who is able to play on both sides of the ball.

At 5-foot-10, 170-pounds, he ran a 10.58 in the 100 meters early on this spring prior to the lockdown.

In addition to Georgia offering Johnson, Texas A&M sent an offer on Sunday. Oklahoma offered on Saturday and LSU on Friday.

Expect Johnson to climb up the rankings as more powerhouse programs begin to take notice.

Georgia has made the top-ten for the 200th ranked player in the nation, Donovan McMillon.

McMillon holds 53 scholarship offers but was able to cut that list to ten on Friday.

A 4-star safety in the class of 2021 out of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, McMillon’s top-ten schools are as follows:

Georgia, Florida, LSU, Texas A&M, Arizona State, Michigan, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State and Virginia Tech.

He ranks as the nation’s No. 200 overall player, No. 8 safety and the No. 8 player in his state.

Current look at Georgia’s 2021 recruiting class compared to rest of SEC

Here is an overview of the SEC’s 2021 recruiting class and where Georgia football fits in the mix.

According to 247Sports, Georgia currently has the 3rd best 2021 recruiting class in the SEC and the No. 12 class overall.

The Bulldogs currently hold commitments from seven recruits, led by 5-star quarterback Brock Vandagriff and 4-star offensive tackle Micah Morris.

The SEC teams ahead of Georgia are Florida, which currently holds the No. 3 spot nationally, and Tennessee, who comes in at No. 5 after receiving three commitments in the last week.

Surprisingly, the defending national champion LSU Tigers are slotted at No. 18 overall and behind Georgia at No. 4 in the SEC.

As for Alabama, Nick Saban has the Crimson Tide under-the-radar so far for the 2021 recruiting class. Bama is ranked at No. 46 overall and 10th in the SEC.

As the year moves on, look for Saban to start working his magic and make a run at the No. 1 spot, but for now, Alabama is preceded in the SEC by previously mentioned Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, LSU and also Texas A&M, Missouri, Auburn, Mississippi State and Ole Miss.

Arkansas is next behind Alabama at the 11th spot, followed by South Carolina and Kentucky, with Vanderbilt at the bottom spot No. 14.

There is still plenty of time in the 2021 cycle, so look for teams to start receiving more and more commitments as we get closer to fall. And especially since Coaches have so much down time on their hands to reach out to recruits.

Full SEC rankings:

  1. Florida
  2. Tennessee
  3. Georgia
  4. LSU
  5. Texas A&M
  6. Missouri
  7. Auburn
  8. Mississippi State
  9. Ole Miss
  10. Alabama
  11. Arkansas
  12. South Carolina
  13. Kentucky
  14. Vanderbilt
