Well, all of the eggs are out of one basket and into another.
There have been trends when it’s come to Michigan’s search for a 2021 running back. Earlier this year, it seemed as if the Wolverines weren’t strongly pursuing West Bloomfield (MI) four-star RB Donovan Edwards — an indicator of how they felt about their chances with another: Hopewell (VA) five-star tailback TreVeyon Henderson. But recently, Michigan reportedly picked up its pursuit of Edwards, an indicator that perhaps things weren’t going as well as they seemed for Henderson.
And on Friday, that dream ended.
Despite having never visited Columbus, Henderson pledged to Ohio State, he announced via Twitter. Now Michigan’s pursuit of Edwards is that much more important.

Of course, as far as Edwards is concerned, Michigan cannot rest easy just because he’s in-state. Alabama, Georgia and Oklahoma are among the programs in high pursuit.
Regardless of Edwards — or even Cincinnati (OH) Roger Bacon four-star RB Corey Kiner — being on the table, it still hurts losing the nation’s top-rated tailback to the arch-rival.
But now a lot rests on the maize and blue closing the deal and keeping a crucial in-state talent home.
