5-star RB includes Georgia football in most recent cut

5-star RB TreVeyon Henderson included Georgia football in his most recent cut.

Georgia fans received some good news on Tuesday when five-star running back TreVeyon Henderson included the Bulldogs in his most recent cut.

Henderson cut his list of schools to nine: Georgia, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Texas, Ohio State, North Carolina, Penn State, Michigan and Oklahoma.

Henderson hails from Hopewell, Virginia. Kirby Smart will have his work cut out for him to persuade the 5-foot, 11-inch, 195-pound Gatorade Virginia Player of the Year to head south to Georgia.

Henderson ranks as the nation’s No. 17 overall prospect, No. 2 running back and No. 3 player in his state.

Ohio State is viewed as his leader, per the 247Sports Crystal Ball. Oklahoma is right there as well.

Henderson took a visit to Georgia in early February and holds over 40 offers.

The Buckeyes possess the nation’s top recruiting class for the 2021 cycle and recently landed a commitment from another elite running back, Georgia target Evan Pryor.

TreVeyon Henderson keeps Ohio State in mix despite Pryor’s commitment

The Ohio State Buckeyes are in the race for another five-star running back despite recently getting a commitment from Evan Pryor.

Ohio State is in the race for another five-star running back despite recently getting a commitment from Evan Pryor. That running back is TreVeyon Henderson, the 17th-best player in the Class of 2021, and the nation’s No. 2 rated running back according to 2487Sports.

Recruited by Tony Alford, Henderson has some of the nation’s top programs on his list.

If he were to commit to Ohio State, Henderson would be the Buckeyes’ top-rated running back in the class despite the commitment from Pryor. That said, Henderson took to Twitter to announce his final nine.

Henderson’s crystal ball prediction gave the Clemson Tigers a 33% chance to land him along with the Buckeyes at 33%, so there is a good chance experts will now believe that Ohio State is the favorite to secure the high-touted prospect.

The Virginia-native also has his two major home programs in his final nine which could play a factor as well.

The 5-foot-11, 195-pound back is destined to be a stud at the next level, and although they have a commitment from Pryor, let’s hope Henderson also opts to join an elite class in Columbus.

Texas has given an offer to TreVeyon Henderson out of Hopewell, Virginia. Henderson is a four-star athlete in the 2021 class but mainly plays running back. If he were to be a running back, Henderson would be the seventh player the Longhorns have offered at the position in 2021.

Listed at 5 feet 10 inches, Henderson has been outstanding for Hopewell High School the past two seasons. In his junior year, he nearly ran for 2,500 yards, recording 2,424 yards and 45 touchdowns on 198 carries. Henderson was also a threat catching the ball, having 283 receiving yards and five touchdowns on 13 receptions.

Playing some snaps on the defensive side of the ball, he recorded 48 tackles, three of them for a loss. Henderson also forced four turnovers, three via interceptions.

His efforts in the 2019 season were good enough to earn him Virginia Player of the Year. Most top schools throughout the country are in on Henderson, with Oklahoma and West Virginia coming from the Big 12. Clemson seems to be the favorite to land his commitment right now, but the door remains open for Texas to ink another star running back.
