5 second-year offensive players to watch this spring

5 second-year offensive players to watch this spring

Alabama will return to the gridiron on March 19 to begin spring practice in preparation for the annual “A-Day”  game which will be held on Saturday, April 16.

We have already looked at several second-year defenders as we await the return of the Crimson Tide. Now let’s take a look at second-year offensive players that Tide fans should be excited about this spring.

Alabama is loaded with young talent on the offensive side of the ball so this list was not easy to compile. So, without wasting too much time, let’s get rolling!

Earlier this week Alabama announced that its annual “A-Day” game would take place on Saturday, April 16. So it shouldn’t be too many more weeks before Nick Saban and his players hit the practice field to prepare for the public scrimmage.

As we anticipate the return of Alabama football I thought we could take a look at a handful of second-year defenders that Tide fans should be keeping their eyes on this spring.

Let’s get rolling!

Everything is on the line for the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills in their divisional-round matchup on Sunday. As anticipation mounts, fans will want to keep their eyes on a few key players when the game kicks off at 5:30 CT. The Bills are riding a five-game win streak that includes their wild-card tilt against the New England Patriots last week.

Led by superstar quarterback Josh Allen, Buffalo certainly has the capacity to serve the Chiefs an upset at Arrowhead Stadium if Kansas City plays the way they did when the teams met back in Week 5. In order to keep their hopes of a third-straight Super Bowl berth alive, these four players will need to play up to their full potential to secure a win over a more-than-capable Bills team:

Alabama players to watch in CFP championship rematch with Georgia

When Alabama and Georgia face off on Jan. 10 in the CFP national championship, there will be as much NFL talent collectively on the field as a college football game could possibly have.

Both the Tide and Bulldogs are littered with future next-level stars and the SEC title game rematch is destined to be one to remember.

Alabama dominated Georiga a month ago in Atlanta 41-24. Bryce Young picked apart the Bulldog secondary and the Tide defense made the plays when they needed to, including a Jordan Battle pick-six to seal the victory.

The Bulldogs are fired up for the rematch and Alabama is focused on winning back-to-back titles for the first time in playoff history.

Before the two titans of college football clash, let’s take a look at five of the boys from ‘Bama that fans should look for in the contest.

The stage is set and the anticipation is mounting as Alabama and Cincinnati prepare to clash on New Year’s Eve in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic.

Like most contests of this magnitude, a handful of plays made by a handful of players will go a long way in determining the outcome of the game.

Today we are going to highlight a few players for the Cincinnati Bearcats that I believe Crimson Tide fans will need to be on the lookout for come Friday afternoon.

Let’s do this!

A whirlwind Christmas week for the Kansas City Chiefs will conclude with a Week 16 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers that could make or break their campaign for the first seed in the AFC playoffs. Without the benefit of being totally healthy due to a COVID-19 outbreak after their win against the Los Angeles Chargers, Kansas City will fight an uphill battle against a well-rounded and expertly coached Steelers team.

There are four Chiefs players in particular who could turn the tide in this matchup with big performances, and Kansas City’s hopes of securing a first-round bye in January could be contingent on the performances of their biggest stars this week.

The Kansas City Chiefs are on a hot streak entering their Week 14 matchup against the Raiders, making them heavy favorites despite neoteric struggles on offense. Their recent wins have shown fans around the country that the Chiefs are still a legitimate Super Bowl contender despite a slow start that held their hopes in check to start the season.

Now among the top teams in the AFC, Kansas City will look to put Las Vegas’ 2021 campaign to rest after getting the better of the Raiders in their first meeting of the year. Here are five players to keep your eye on when the Chiefs play the Raiders in Week 14:

One of the most anticipated matchups on this weekend’s schedule is the Kansas City Chiefs matchup against Dallas Cowboys at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday. Both teams have been on a hot streak in recent weeks, making this a battle of top teams in both conferences.

While the Chiefs will benefit from the move of Cowboys WR Amari Cooper to the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Friday, this will still be a barnburner as “America’s Game of the Week.” Both teams are vying to show how capable they are to a national audience, with the Preston Road Trophy on the line for their owners. Kansas City is slightly favored heading into the tilt, and big performances from these four players will be crucial to securing the predicted win against Dallas in this marquee matchup.

5 players to watch during Alabama vs. New Mexico State

5 players to watch as Alabama takes on the New Mexico State Aggies

Alabama’s final non-conference matchup against New Mexico State doesn’t exactly get the blood boiling with excitement. But it is the next opportunity for the Tide to take the field and show signs of improvement.

Last week’s ugly win over LSU has many Tide fans a little skeptical about just how much the 2021 version of the Crimson Tide can accomplish. I’ll admit, I also have my own reservations about this team, but if we look at this through the lens of common sense we will come to the conclusion that Nick Saban is still the head man, and the roster is still loaded with talent. That alone should restore some hope among the Tide faithful.

Speaking of the roster, I thought we could take a look at a few players that I believe we should keep our eye on as the boys from Bama take on the Aggies of New Mexico State.

High expectations could finally be satiated this week if the Kansas City Chiefs can pull out a win against the Aaron Rodgers-less Green Bay Packers. Without their quarterback, Green Bay is a beatable opponent, though nothing is guaranteed with this 2021 Chiefs team.

Last week’s win over the Giants seemed like a momentum-builder after solid, albeit not spectacular, performances on both sides of the ball. If they can build on the momentum they gained against New York, Kansas City could find a way out of the rut they’ve put themselves in to start the season.

Here are four players to watch when the Chiefs take on the Packers in Week 9:
