CFB analyst explains in detail why Alabama has the best LB room in the nation

Alabama Football has the two best linebackers in the country

Alabama Football has produced a plethora of superstars under [autotag]Coach Saban[/autotag] in the past decade. From a receiver room that featured [autotag]Jerry Jeudy[/autotag] [autotag]Henry Ruggs[/autotag] [autotag]DeVonta Smith[/autotag] and [autotag]Jaylen Waddle[/autotag] to a running back room that had [autotag]Derrick Henry[/autotag] [autotag]Alvin Kamara[/autotag] [autotag]T.J. Yeldon[/autotag] and [autotag]Kenyan Drake[/autotag], it is safe to say that Saban is used to working with loaded position groups.

However, the 2022 Tide linebackers may be the best unit that Tuscaloosa, and college football for that matter, has ever seen.

247 Sports’ CFB analyst, Josh Pate, discussed the position group today as he said, “I think Alabama has the two best linebacker’s in college football in [autotag]Will Anderson[/autotag] and [autotag]Dallas Turner[/autotag].” The duo amazingly accounted for 20 sacks in 2021 as both were true underclassmen.

Behind the two superstars, is former five-star [autotag]Chris Braswell[/autotag] who would be a premier pass rusher at any other school, says Pate. The Tide also return their leading tackler from the 2021 campaign in [autotag]Henry To’oTo’o[/autotag] and he is joined by veteran [autotag]Jaylen Moody[/autotag]. Having these four on the field at the same time will be a headache for every single opponent this year.

In the waiting, are highly rated recruits such as [autotag]Deontae Lawson[/autotag] [autotag]Kendrick Blackshire[/autotag] and others. However, the real prized possession is IMG Academy’s [autotag]Jihaad Campbell[/autotag] who will likely fill Anderson’s role in 2023.

From starters to what’s coming down the pipeline, we will look back in a few years and certainly discuss the surreal amount of talent in this position group.

WATCH: Alabama football leaders spend the day with Saban on the lake

Alabama Football had their annual leadership lake day where Coach Saban takes out leaders from the football team to enjoy their hard work…

Contrary to the belief of many, the fun with [autotag]Nick Saban[/autotag] never stops! This week he hosted the Alabama football leadership council out to his Lake Tuscaloosa house for some outdoor activities like boating and jet skiing.

At the lake house the guys also get a chance to spend some non-football related time with Coach Saban and their fellow team leaders. The attendees this season were [autotag]Bryce Young[/autotag], [autotag]Cameron Latu[/autotag], [autotag]Will Reichard[/autotag], [autotag]Jordan Battle[/autotag], [autotag]Will Anderson[/autotag], [autotag]Henry To’oTo’o[/autotag], [autotag]Jaylen Moody[/autotag], [autotag]DJ Dale[/autotag], [autotag]Justin Eboigbe[/autotag], [autotag]Byron Young[/autotag], [autotag]Darrian Dalcourt[/autotag], and [autotag]Emil Ekiyor[/autotag].

Coach Saban has been complimentary of this class and their work ethic, which all starts with the leaders of the team leading by example and not complaining.

After a disappointing loss in the National Championship this past season, look for Saban and his guys to bounce back and fight for No. 19 this season.

5 names Alabama Football fans should get familiar with before 2022 season

A few players are ready to have breakout seasons in 2022, here’s who you should look out for!

Alabama football is gearing up for the 2022 college football season. After an inconsistent 2021 season that concluded with a loss in the national championship game to Georgia, fans are eager to see the Crimson Tide hit the field once again.

Yesterday, Alabama football held its annual A-Day spring game, where fans and media members got an opportunity to see the 2022 squad in action.

There are still a few months until the regular season kicks off for the Crimson Tide, which will be on Sept. 3 at home against Utah State.

Sure, there’s good reason to be excited to see quarterback [autotag]Bryce Young[/autotag] take the field or linebacker [autotag]Will Anderson[/autotag] make offensive linemen look silly; but there are some players that are likely to burst onto the scene this season.

Though there are many that could be featured on this list, here are five Crimson Tide players whose names you should be familiar with by Week 1.

5 defensive players Alabama fans need to watch during A-Day

5 defensive players Alabama fans need to watch during A-Day

Alabama’s annual A-Day game is set to kick off on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. CT inside Bryant-Denny Stadium.

There is plenty of talent both young and old to be excited about if you are a ‘Bama fan, and it will also be our first opportunity of the spring to see this year’s version of the Tide.

In his Thursday press conference leading up to A-Day, head coach Nick Saban said the format for the scrimmage would be the first-team offense against the first-team defense and the second-team offense against the second-team defense. With this format, fans will get to experience a more game-like scenario with good on good.

Leading up to the start of A-Day, I wanted to sit down and give fans a handful of players from each side of the ball that I believe could make an impact during the scrimmage. I want fans to keep in mind that these are players that fans have not seen make a tremendous impact yet for the Crimson Tide, but could on Saturday and during the 2022 season.

Yesterday we looked at the offensive players, today we will look at the defensive side of the ball.

Alabama LB Jaylen Moody explains why he removed his named from transfer portal

Alabama LB Jaylen Moody talks about his decision to return to Alabama, his hopes for his final season.

Rising redshirt-senior linebacker for the Crimson Tide [autotag]Jaylen Moody[/autotag] entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal shortly after Alabama’s loss to Georgia in the national title game. He quickly removed his name and is now speaking on why he made the decision.

Moody joined Alabama as a three-star prospect from South Carolina and hasn’t seen too much playing time and has yet to serve as a regular starter for the program.

In four seasons with the Crimson Tide, Moody has amassed 45 tackles, 0.5 tackles for loss, one interception, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

Moody now claims that he is ready to be a starting linebacker for the Crimson Tide in what will be his final collegiate season.

During media availability today, Moody was quick to state that he wants his presence to be felt on the field.

He says that Alabama’s program, Nick Saban and the coaching staff have molded him as a man, not just as a player.

While considering other schools, Moody claims that Alabama is the place for him.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow Moody and other Alabama players gearing up for the 2022 college football season.

Five defensive players for Alabama with something to prove in 2022

These 5 defenders have something to prove in the 2022 college football season.

The Alabama football team has completed a handful of practices so far this spring and fans are looking forward to the climax of spring training on April 16 when the Tide will host its annual “A-Day”.

With each new season, a new cast of characters will be thrust into the spotlight to try and help the Crimson Tide ascend to glory. Sometimes players can come right in and make an instant impact, but for others it takes time.

Over the next few days, we are going to look at a handful of players from each side of the ball that have something to prove in the 2022 season. Today we will look at the defensive side of the ball.

Let’s roll.

REPORT: Jaylen Moody set to remove name from transfer portal, return to Alabama

This would be HUGE for the Alabama defense

After Alabama’s defeat in the national championship game, several players decided to enter their names into the NCAA transfer portal. One of those young men was linebacker Jaylen Moody.

It is now being reported that Moody will remove his name from the transfer portal and return to Alabama.

Moody came to Tuscaloosa as a part of the 2018 recruiting class and immediately begin to see action as a true freshman on special teams and as a reserve inside linebacker for the Alabama defense. Moody’s return would be huge for Nick Saban, Pete Golding, and the rest of the Alabama defense.

2022 will be Moody’s fifth season with the Crimson Tide and he would be providing obvious experience and quality depth at the inside linebacker position. With Christian Harris opting to forgo his senior season and enter the NFL draft, the inside linebacker position opposite of Henry To’oTo’o will be open for competition.

Moody is definitely a player to keep your eye on this spring in Tuscaloosa.
