Former Alabama OL Darrian Dalcourt signs with Baltimore Ravens as undrafted free agent

Baltimore Ravens sign former Alabama OL Darrian Dalcourt as UDFA

Unfortunately, not every college football player gets to realize their dreams of being selected in the NFL draft, however, that doesn’t mean that your career is over by any means. Roughly 30% of the league is made up of undrafted players, and NFL teams love cheap players for the sake of the salary cap.

Former Alabama OL [autotag]Darrian Dalcourt[/autotag] was one of those guys who did not hear his name called over draft weekend. However, he was quickly scooped up by the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent and will get his opportunity to show he belongs in the league.

Dalcourt started his career with the Crimson Tide back in 2019 and it ended there as well. It is almost unheard of in this day and age to go your whole collegiate career without transferring, but it is certainly a testament to his character. He was a part-time starter for three years with five starts in 2023, so he still is a pretty raw product.

Alabama football countdown to kickoff: 71 days

It is now just 71 days until Nick Saban and Alabama take the field for the 2023 college football season!

The Alabama Crimson Tide will take the field for the 2023 college football season in 71 days, as Middle Tennessee State visits Bryant Denny Stadium on Sept. 2.

Here at Roll Tide Wire, we will be counting down the days until [autotag]Nick Saban[/autotag] and his team take the field.

Today, with just 71 days remaining, we will take at the current Tide player that wears No. 71, [autotag]Darrian Dalcourt[/autotag].

Dalcourt has started a ton of games for the Crimson Tide throughout his career but mostly at center. This season, it appears Dalcourt’s most likely starting spot will be at left guard. The 2023 season is a big year for the senior offensive lineman.

Five offensive veterans who need a big season in 2023

5 offensive veterans who need a big season for the Tide in 2023!

We are just a little more than 100 days away from Nick Saban and the Alabama football team kicking the 2023 season off on Sept. 2 against Middle Tennessee State inside Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Even though the offseason can seem long and insufferable, is there really ever an offseason with all the outlets that produce non-stop content on the Crimson Tide? That’s why you can count on Roll Tide Wire to be there every step of the way.

We have already looked at five second-year offensive and defensive players who could impact the 2023 season. Now let’s turn our attention to the veteran players who need to step up this fall for the Tide!

Post-spring depth chart projections for Alabama’s offensive line

Projecting Alabama’s offensive line depth post-spring!

Now that spring football has officially wrapped up and the 2023 NFL draft is complete, it is time to shift our focus to the offseason.

Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide have a ton of questions marks exiting spring and fans are chomping at the bit for answers.

So as we dive into the dog days of summer, I thought we could take a look, position by position, and project the possible depth chart for the 2023 Alabama football team post-spring.

We have already taken a look at the quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends and today we will wrap up the offensive side of the ball with the offensive line!

Let’s roll!

Five offensive players who need to play well in Friday’s scrimmage

Five offensive players who need to play well in Alabama’s first scrimmage of the spring!

[autotag]Nick Saban[/autotag] and the Alabama football team will hold its first scrimmage of the spring on Friday afternoon before having the weekend off for Easter.

Coach Saban and the Tide generally don’t allow much information to be released from the closed scrimmages but there are always some little hints sprinkled throughout Coach Saban’s comments afterward.

With the scrimmage just a few hours away, Roll Tide Wire thought it would be a good idea to look at five players from each side of the ball that need to step up and perform well in the first game-like situation of the spring.

Here are five players from the offense:

Everything Nick Saban said following Alabama’s fifth spring practice

“I’m not pleased with where we are. I’m not disappointed in where we are,” says Nick Saban following Alabama’s fifth spring practice!

The Alabama football team wrapped up its fifth spring practice on Thursday afternoon on the Thomas-Drew Fields. The practice would complete week two of spring football for the Tide and now we are only just three weeks away from the annual A-Day Game from Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Following Thursday’s two-hour practice, Crimson Tide head coach [autotag]Nick Saban[/autotag] would make his way to the podium to speak to members of the media about how the spring festivities are going.

Coach Saban would speak on the progress his team is making as well as honor the late Mal Moore who passed away ten years ago on Thursday.

Here is everything coach Saban had to say!

Position Breakdown: Alabama’s OL ahead of spring practice

A deep dive into the Alabama offensive line ahead of spring practice!

We are now less than a week away from [autotag]Nick Saban[/autotag] and the Alabama football team taking the practice field to begin spring ball.

As is the case each offseason, there are many questions that need to be answered before the Tide hit the field to start the 2023 season.

As spring practice creeps closer, we are going to break down each position group on both sides of the ball. We have already looked at the quarterbacks, running backs, defensive line, tight ends, outside linebackers, inside linebackers, and wide receivers, and defensive backs.

Today we will wrap up our position breakdowns with the offensive line.

Alabama Morning Drive: Tide players continue to rave about Jaheim Oatis

Alabama football freshman defensive lineman Jaheim Oatis has made quite the impression on his teammates in Tuscaloosa.

Good morning, Tide fans! Welcome to our Wednesday edition of Alabama Morning Dive. Week 1 of the college football season is nearly upon us and will discuss some of that here shortly.

First of all, I want to let everyone know that Alabama Morning Drive will be a little different during the football season. Instead of publishing it each weekday morning, we will only be publishing on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Also, we will start to focus on other teams around the SEC and not just the Crimson Tide!

Now that we have that out of the way let’s get right to it!

WATCH: Alabama football leaders spend the day with Saban on the lake

Alabama Football had their annual leadership lake day where Coach Saban takes out leaders from the football team to enjoy their hard work…

Contrary to the belief of many, the fun with [autotag]Nick Saban[/autotag] never stops! This week he hosted the Alabama football leadership council out to his Lake Tuscaloosa house for some outdoor activities like boating and jet skiing.

At the lake house the guys also get a chance to spend some non-football related time with Coach Saban and their fellow team leaders. The attendees this season were [autotag]Bryce Young[/autotag], [autotag]Cameron Latu[/autotag], [autotag]Will Reichard[/autotag], [autotag]Jordan Battle[/autotag], [autotag]Will Anderson[/autotag], [autotag]Henry To’oTo’o[/autotag], [autotag]Jaylen Moody[/autotag], [autotag]DJ Dale[/autotag], [autotag]Justin Eboigbe[/autotag], [autotag]Byron Young[/autotag], [autotag]Darrian Dalcourt[/autotag], and [autotag]Emil Ekiyor[/autotag].

Coach Saban has been complimentary of this class and their work ethic, which all starts with the leaders of the team leading by example and not complaining.

After a disappointing loss in the National Championship this past season, look for Saban and his guys to bounce back and fight for No. 19 this season.

Alabama will be without three key players this spring

Tough news for a trio of players as Alabama enters spring practice

Alabama football returned to the practice field on Friday to begin its annual spring practice. As usual, head coach Nick Saban stepped to the podium afterward to offer his thoughts on the first day and what his expectations are for spring training.

Maybe the most important remarks of the evening were the announcement that Ja-Corey Brooks, Darrian Dalcourt, and Keanu Koht would miss spring practice in its entirety.

Losing Brooks is a blow to the wide receiver room that is bringing back very little experience from last season. Dalcourt was expected to compete for a position along the offensive line and missing the spring will certainly impede his progression. Losing Koht isn’t nearly as critical as the other two, but missing spring practice only delays development for the player and limits the depth at the position.

As a freshman, Brooks hauled in 15 receptions for 192 yards and two touchdowns.

Dalcourt started 11 games in 2021 for the Tide and losing his experience is tough news for the offensive line group that has several questions marks entering spring practice.

Koht did not see any action in his first season in Tuscaloosa but was expected to provide some depth on the edge for the Alabama defense.

Stay tuned to Roll Tide Wire for continuous coverage of spring practice in Tuscaloosa.
