2024 4-star WR Jaylan Hornsby set to visit Texas A&M in June

2024 4-star WR Jaylan Hornsby is set to visit Texas A&M this June after announcing his plans via Twitter

Texas A&M is preparing for their long and arduous recruiting push this summer, as a number of high-profile prospects are set to descend upon College Station and while some dates have yet to be confirmed, one player has dotted the I’s and crossed the T’s as 2024 4-star wide receiver Jaylan Hornsby all the way out of New Jersey will take an official campus visit on June 16 through the 18th.

Hailing from Camden, New Jersey to be exact, Hornsby is ranked as the 55th wide receiver and 11th-ranked player in New Jersey, while being heavily pursued by Rutgers and Penn State. However, after offering the rising pass catcher on March 27th, Aggies head coach Jimbo Fisher has been dead set on earning a spot among his preferred programs list, and knowing Fisher’s success in recruiting talent from the east coast, it’s no surprise that Hornsby has become a priority recruit for the Maroon and White.

Standing at 6-2 and 195 pounds, Hornsby recorded 23 receptions for 441 yards and 2 touchdowns in 8 games during his 2022 junior campaign. His size, speed, and athleticism in the open field are displayed throughout his sophomore and junior tape, notably excelling in the screen game.

Elite recruits scheduled to visit Tennessee for 2023 Orange & White Game

A look at the top recruits visiting Tennessee for the 2023 Orange & White Game on Saturday.

Tennessee will conclude spring practices on Saturday with its annual Orange & White Game at Neyland Stadium.

Kickoff is slated for 2:30 p.m. EDT and can be watched on SEC Network+.

PHOTOS: Tennessee’s Orange & White Game through the years

Multiple top recruiting targets for the Vols have announced their plans to visit Tennessee this weekend for the Orange & White Game.

The Vols currently have eight commitments in the class of 2024. Tennessee’s class ranks seventh nationally and fourth in the Southeastern Conference. Tennessee landed three commitments last week in Gage Ginther, Jesse Perry and Shamar Arnoux.

Below are top recruits who are scheduled to visit Tennessee for the 2023 Orange & White Game.

Key four-star wide receiver target in 2024 taking second visit to Penn State

Penn State will host a key wide receiver recruiting target for a second visit in April.

Penn State will be hosting one of their top wide receiver targets in the class of 2024 on April 7th.

[autotag]Jaylan Hornsby[/autotag] is a four-star from Camden, NJ who is ranked fourth in the state. On3’s database has him listed as the 273rd best player in his class and 46th at his position nationally.

The 6’2″ 195 pound wide receiver has been offered a scholarship by 21 schools across the country. Other notable programs on the list include Georgia, Oregon, Notre Dame, Michigan, Wisconsin, Pittsburgh, Illinois and Rutgers.

According to 247Sports, the 2023 class only had one designated wide receiver sign their letter of intent and the 2024 class currently has zero wide receivers committed.

Penn State has been able to develop NFL talent in their receiver room, so it’s important to keep the talent coming into the program.

Right now, On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine has Rutgers leading the way to land the four-star from New Jersey. The Scarlet Knights are given a 50.3% chance to sign Hornsby, while Penn State is sitting second with 18.1%.

Hornsby’s return to Penn State in April will be an unofficial visit. He visited Rutgers for a second time earlier in March and also took a visit to Illinois.

The recruiting process for anyone in the 2024 class will take a while to see all the way through. Official visits still need to take place and their senior season still needs to be played in the fall.

It’s clear that Penn State is prioritizing landing Hornsby as they look to add more talent in their wide receiver room.
