Wisconsin extends a PWO offer to an in-state offensive lineman

Wisconsin continues to recruit the Badger State hard

There have been no shortage of great walk-ons in Wisconsin football history, with J.J. Watt headlining a long tradition of Badger walk-on’s making an impact.

Wisconsin extended a few preferred walk-on offers this week, and one went out to a 6-foot-9, 285-pound offensive lineman from Monona Grove High School in Wisconsin. The Badgers offered offensive tackle Sam Hawker, who currently holds an offer from Valporaiso, as well as walk-on offers from Miami and now the Badgers.

He would bring serious size to Wisconsin’s line if Hawker does indeed go with the preferred walk-on offer from the Badgers.

Wisconsin offered Santonyo “Kozy” Isaac, a class of 2025 wide receiver from Tampa, Florida on Thursday. The 6-foot-0, 160-pound athlete still has two more seasons of high school football at Tampa Bay Tech before he’d potentially make the leap to the college level.

Although he doesn’t possess an official rating, Isaac has received 13 Division 1 offers, including offers from Florida State and USF in his home state. The Badgers are in the middle of a major shift in their offensive approach under new head coach Luke Fickell and offensive coordinator Phil Longo and could become a more attractive spot for wide receiver recruits moving forward.

So far, Wisconsin has yet to receive any commitments for the class of 2025, though that’s not surprising considering how far out that campaign is.

Wisconsin lands a four-star safety who was previously committed to Cincinnati

The Badgers land a former Bearcat commit

Under new head coach Luke Fickell, a concern was keeping Paul Chryst’s recruits in Madison and keeping the next Badger class in tact. The flip side of that concern? Wisconsin will likely attract recruits who were previously committed to Fickell at Cincinnati. That’s exactly what happened on Monday.

Wisconsin landed four-star safety Braedyn Moore who initially committed to the Bearcats but understandably decided to withdraw his commitment after Coach Fickell made it to Madison. Moore is now a Badger commit, and the 2023 safety announced his decision Monday afternoon on Twitter. He held offers from the likes of Boston College, Indiana, Tennessee, and Illinois among others.
