Former Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie is returning to the Buffalo Bills. McKenzie signed a two-year deal worth $8 million.

Former Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie is returning to the Buffalo Bills. McKenzie signed a two-year deal worth $8 million.

Isaiah McKenzie has played with the Bills for the past four seasons. He is a key special teams player and receiver for Buffalo. McKenzie averaged 24.3 yards per kick return and 7.7 yards per punt return in 2021.

McKenzie added 92 total yards in Buffalo’s two playoff games last season. The Bills lost a heartbreaker to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC divisional playoff round.

Josh Allen and the Bills have high expectations heading into the 2022 NFL season. Buffalo has one of the most talented rosters in the NFL.

The Denver Broncos selected Isaiah McKenzie in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL draft. The two-year deal is good for Isaiah McKenzie, who has only gotten one-year deals in the past.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news of McKenzie’s signing:

Buffalo Bills bring back former Georgia QB Jake Fromm

The Buffalo Bills are bringing back former Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm. Buffalo has added Fromm to their practice squad.

The team announced on Tuesday that they released Fromm and several others, but the former UGA quarterback went unclaimed on waivers. So now, Buffalo can add him back to their practice squad.

Fromm, UGA’s fourth all-time passing leader (8,224 yards), was drafted in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL draft and was the Bills’ emergency COVID-19 quarterback last season. Fromm spent much of last season isolated from the team until this offseason.

In his freshman season, Fromm won the starting job over Jacob Eason and led Georgia to a 13-2 record. The Bulldogs went on to win the SEC Championship and the Rose Bowl. Fromm and the Dawgs fell just short in the national championship against the Alabama Crimson Tide.

During his sophomore campaign, Fromm improved, but Georgia fell short of its national championship goal. UGA missed the playoffs after suffering another defeat to Alabama.

During his junior year, Fromm helped UGA make a third consecutive SEC Championship.

Fromm helped lead Buffalo on a game-winning drive this preseason. Fromm and the NFL did not have a preseason last year, so it was good for him to get live-game experience again.

Former Georgia QB Jake Fromm signs with Bills — contract details here

Former Georgia football QB and 2020 NFL Draft pick Jake Fromm signed his rookie contract with the Buffalo Bills. Here are the details…

Former Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm signed his rookie deal on Friday with the Buffalo Bills.

According to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, it’s a four-year contract worth $3.7 million total, $899,490 guaranteed with a $302,960 signing bonus.

A pedestrian combine performance reportedly caused Fromm to slip to the fifth-round of the 2020 NFL Draft where the Buffalo Bills felt fortunate to select him with the No. 167 overall pick.

General manager Brandon Beane said that drafting Fromm was not meant to send a message to Bills starter Josh Allen, but rather to fill a “premium position” with a talented player.

Fromm will have an opportunity to compete for the backup position this off-season with fellow Bills quarterbacks Davis Webb and Matt Barkley. And as Georgia fans know well, don’t count Fromm out in a quarterback competition. He has beaten out a couple of 5-stars before and won a few games in between…

Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Jake Fromm was selected 167th (fifth round) in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills. Fromm fell further than expected in the NFL Draft due to his subpar junior season and concerns over his physical talent.

Fromm is a proven winner who had Georgia in the College Football Playoff conversation in three straight seasons. Turnover at the wide receiver position disrupted his junior season in Athens. His lack of arm strength hurt him big-time. Now, he’s anticipated to back-up
