I was diving into the most recent class and trying to figure out which future Buckeye is going to shine brightest and fastest but noticed that the Big Ten as a whole was pretty interesting recruiting-wise this cycle, and we already discussed the quarterback position, running back position, and wide receiver group and now we are diving into the top prospects in the tight end group.

The following are the top five tight end recruits ranked by 247Sports heading to Big Ten schools this fall.

One of the top 2023 prospects in the state of Michigan has officially signed with the Spartans.

Four-star tight end Brennan Parachek of Dexter, Mich. officially signed his national letter of intent with Michigan State on Wednesday morning. Parachek was the first 2023 prospect to commit to the Spartans, originally giving Michigan State a verbal commitment in September of 2021.

Parachek ranks as the No. 6 player from the state of Michigan in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2023 class. He is also ranked as the No. 18 tight end and No. 327 overall prospect in the class.

Michigan State beat out the likes of Arizona State, Kentucky, Indiana, Kansas, Purdue and Pitt for Parachek’s commitment.

Recruit, recruit, recruit. A model the new staff at Michigan State has embraced and it has shown so far during the Mel Tucker era. The momentum the staff generated over the summer, and now into the start of the regular season has paid off.

Brennan Parachek, a 6-foot-6 tight end from Dexter, Michigan, has committed to Michigan State!

Parachek is currently ranked as a very high three-star according to the 247Sports composite rankings, and is ranked as the No. 7 player in the state of Michigan.

Parachek had additional offers from Arizona State, Kansas, Kentucky, Pittsburgh and Purdue.

Another top prospect from the state of Michigan in the 2023 class is reportedly attending Michigan State’s “Spartan Dawg Con” recruiting event later this month.

2023 three-star tight end Brennan Parachek of Dexter, Mich. plans to take an unofficial visit to Michigan State on July 31, according to Corey Robinson of 247Sports. Parachek will be one of numerous recruits reportedly visiting campus that day as part of a recruiting event being named “Spartan Dawg Con.”

Parachek is ranked as the No. 17 tight end and No. 6 player from Michigan in the 2023 class by 247Sports.

Parachek currently holds scholarship offers from Michigan State, Arizona State, Kentucky, Akron, Central Michigan and Miami (OH).

Michigan State is getting ready for the recruiting cycle of the 2023 class and have their sights set on a top Michigan tight end. Brennan Parachek has already been offered by MSU but took his official visit yesterday.

Parachek, a 6-foot-5 and 225-pound tight end, attends Dexter High School in Dexter, Michigan. He is a three-star prospect on 247sports, and is the No. 17 tight end and No. 6 player in the state of Michigan for 2023.

Parachek has also been offered by Akron, Arizona State, Central Michigan, Kentucky, Miami (Ohio) and Syracuse.

Parachek also plays basketball and baseball and while at MSU visited with the baseball team. He will be an interesting name to keep an eye for as he is projected to be a top target for the Spartans in the 2023 class.

Parachek is listed on 247Sports as 6-foot-5 and 225 pounds as only a sophomore in high school. Parachek is yet to be ranked by the recruiting service, but he definitely could end up being one of the highest-ranked prospects from the state of Michigan for the class of 2023.

Along with Michigan State, Parachek has received two other scholarship offers in the past week — Kentucky on Feb. 11 and Akron also on Wednesday.

Keep an eye on Parachek as he will surely be someone who will continue to gain interest from power five programs.
