Looking at the NFL draft prospect the Eagles should covet the most after 2022 Senior Bowl

Looking at the #SeniorBowl prospect the Eagles should covet the most heading into the #NFLDraft2022

The NFL draft starts in Mobile, Alabama and after college football’s top seniors all congregated for the annual all-star game, there are plenty of elite prospects for Howie Roseman to turn his attention towards.

Whether it’s an edge rusher, wide receiver, safety, linebacker, wide receiver, or offensive line, Philadelphia has plenty of needs and three first-round picks available to address them.

Bleacher Report recently took a look at the one NFL prospect that all 32 teams should covet post-Senior Bowl, and athletic University of Kentucky offensive guard, Darian Kinnard landed on the list for the Eagles.

The Philadelphia Eagles’ best path forward on offense is to build and market themselves as a physical team with a bruising ground game.

Utilizing one of their five top-100 picks on the 6’5″, 324-pound Darian Kinnard (scouting report) out of Kentucky would be a good step toward building that brand. Brandon Brooks—who has similar dimensions—has announced his retirement.

Kinnard is a versatile player, with a physical demeanor that would fit with Jeff Stoutland’s culture, and fared well in one on matchups with some of the top edge rushers at the Senior Bowl.

An All-American and All-SEC performer, Kinnard can play right tackle efficiently as well.

Senior Bowl notes: Nevada QB Carson Strong had good meeting with Eagles

Howie Roseman is going to be diligent with his scouting of the quarterback group at this year’s Senior Bowl and one day after getting blown away by Malik Willis, reports have surfaced that Philadelphia has met with Nevada quarterback Charlie Strong.

Strong fits the mold when it comes to quarterbacks, standing 6’4 215 pounds, the former Nevada signal-caller has the best arm in the draft, he’s among the most accurate passers in the draft, can throw his wide receivers open, while also making sound decisions in the passing game.

Strong threw for 4,175 yards and 36 touchdowns in 2021 and definitely could be a name to watch for Philadelphia if he slips out of the first round.

Senior Bowl notes: Eagles’ GM Howie Roseman keeping a close eye on QB Malik Willis

#SeniorBowl notes: Day 2 in #Mobile saw #Liberty QB Malik #Willis show out with Howie #Roseman keeping a close eye on his big arm #TheDraftStartsInMobile

The draft starts in Mobile, but the opportunity to change a decision-makers’ mind can also be found in dynamic senior bowl performances.

During a nasty rainstorm on Wednesday, Liberty quarterback Malik Willis put on a show in front of every NFL, including Eagles general manager Howie Roseman, who reportedly was enthralled by the big-armed quarterback according to Football Outsiders.

Liberty quarterback Malik Willis has the best arm in Mobile, and it’s not close. He rifles off medium-range passes, both from the pocket and on the run, with little effort. Willis doesn’t have an off-speed pitch, however, and his accuracy was scattershot on Tuesday. Still, some teams are about to have visions of Trey Lance-meets-Josh Allen dancing in their heads. Some Eagle-eyed observers noted Howie Roseman paying particular attention to Willis.

Philadelphia has three first-round picks, and the assumption has always been that a mature Kenny Pickett would be the target if the Eagles did decide to go the quarterback route.

Willis offers the rawest potential out of the group, but if properly harnessed, he could become the NFC’s version of Josh Allen, something a lot of Eagles fans covet.

Roseman had previously stated that Hurts has earned the right to be the team’s starter in 2022, but things change and Willis appears to have left a big impression on the Eagles brass.
