Georgia Bulldogs outside linebacker Matthew Brown walked on to the team in 2018. He redshirted that season and went on to participate in UGA’s spring of 2019.

Brown won the High Senior GPA at his high school before coming to Athens. He also played basketball and ran track in high school. He faces a lot of competition at outside linebacker, but may be able to crack the rotation as an upperclassman.

Georgia Bulldogs defensive back Mark Webb is among the favorites to win the starting role at nickel or STAR corner next season. He’ll be competing with primarily Tyrique Stevenson and Divaad Wilson.

Webb started nine games at the STAR position last season. He recorded 46 tackles last season, fifth best on UGA. Webb will help UGA have a lengthy streak of players from Philadelphia. Can Philly be the latest recruiting hotbed for the Dawgs?

Webb began his career as a four-star wide receiver. He converted to cornerback during the 2017 season.

Webb may get drafted in 2021, provided he has a solid season next year.

Georgia football player card: LB Nate McBride

Georgia Bulldogs linebacker Nate McBride has played in all 43 games he’s been eligible for.

Nate McBride, Linebacker (No. 22):

Class: Senior

High School: Vidalia High School

Georgia Bulldogs linebacker Nate McBride has played in all 43 games that he’s been eligible for throughout the first three seasons of his career. McBride is durable and plays a lot of special teams snaps.

He came to Athens as a four-star recruit and is looking to finish out his collegiate career on a sweet note. He played track in addition to football in high school.

He’s accumulated 20 tackles over his career including one in the Rose Bowl against Oklahoma. McBride will have an opportunity to see more playing time in 2020 with the departure of Tae Crowder. He’ll have to battle Nakobe Dean for a spot on the field. He could work his way into the large rotation Dan Lanning likes to utilize.

He stepped up versus Tennessee last season en route to a three-tackle performance:

McBride has a great take on his lack of playing time despite being a big-time recruit. Way to stay positive Nate!

Georgia Bulldogs running back Sevaughn Clark redshirted in 2019, but saw playing time against Murray State and Arkansas State

Running Back Sevaughn Clark (No. 20):

Class: Redshirt freshman

Height: 6-1

Weight: 215 pounds

Hometown: Dawsonville, Georgia

High School: Dawson County

Georgia Bulldogs running back Sevaughn Clark redshirted in 2019, but saw playing time against Murray State and Arkansas State. Clark will carry experience into next season, but isn’t expected to be a large factor in Georgia’s stacked backfield.

Clark had four carries for 13 yards last season. He came to Athens as an unheralded recruit. He played quarterback and running back in high school, but was more of a threat as a rusher. He additionally ran track for Dawson County.

Clark, a walk-on, has some solid high school highlights. He could potentially step-up to contribute similar to Brian Herrien later in his career.

Clark is in a talented running back room that features Zamir White, James Cook, Kenny McIntosh and more.

UGA football player card: WR Makiya Tongue

Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver Makiya Tongue redshirted last season. His dad is a former NFL veteran.

Hometown: Baton Rouge, Louisiana

High School: University Lab

Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver Makiya Tongue redshirted last season. He played against Arkansas State, Georgia Tech, and Murray State, so he has some experience thanks to the new redshirt rule.

Tongue played both receiver and defense (safety/outside linebacker) in high school for University Lab. He made this spectacular catch back in the day:

Tongue’s dad, Reggie, played in the NFL for several seasons, playing primarily for the Kansas City Chiefs and Seattle Seahawks. Before the NFL, Reggie Tongue played for the Oregon State Beavers.

Next season, Makiya Tongue will fight for playing time at wide receiver. Georgia and Kirby Smart have brought in lots of talent at receiver and return a solid amount of existing talent including: George Pickens, 2020’s presumed top receiver on the roster.

Tongue came to the University of Georgia as a four-star recruit.

UGA football player card: LB Adam Anderson

Georgia Bulldogs linebacker Adam Anderson came to UGA as a five-star recruit from Rome High School.

Height: 6-5

Weight: 225 pounds

Hometown: Rome, Georgia

High School: Rome High School

Georgia Bulldogs outside linebacker Adam Anderson is entering into his third season in Athens. Anderson came to the University of Georgia as a highly coveted five-star recruit.

Anderson has played in every game during his career in Athens. He has 2.5 sacks in his career and had one of his best games in the Sugar Bowl against the Baylor Bears.

Anderson has excellent speed, but is still looking to add muscle to his long frame. He racked up 18 total pressures last season and has the potential to be a break-out edge rusher for Dan Lanning and Kirby Smart next season.

Anderson sacked current Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields back in high school:

Anderson has elite potential and will be fun to watch next season. If he faces Justin Fields again, the that’s a good sign for Georgia Bulldogs fans.

UGA football player card: TE Brett Seither

Georgia Bulldogs tight end Brett Seither redshirted during the 2019 season as a freshman.

Class: Redshirt Freshman

Height: 6-5

Weight: 228 pounds

Hometown: Clearwater, Florida

High School: Clearwater Central Catholic

Georgia Bulldogs tight end Brett Seither redshirted during the 2019 season as a freshman. Seither appeared in both the Arkansas State and Murray State games.

Seither game to Athens, Georgia as a three-star prospect in the class of 2019 out of Clearwater Central Catholic High School. Seither committed to UGA over Alabama.

Seither will compete for playing time among returning tight ends behind John Fitzpatrick. Georgia additionally added Florida State transfer Tre’ McKitty and 2020 five-star TE Darnell Washington this offseason.

McKitty racked up 520 yards over the last two seasons at FSU.

Will Seither be able to earn playing time this season? One of his best skills is his ability to win the jump ball:

He’ll face a battle to make the field, but will provide quality depth this season. Fans should remember his name in the coming years.

UGA football player card: LB Nakobe Dean

Georgia Bulldogs linebacker Nakobe Dean was a five-star recruit and recorded 175 tackles during his senior season in high school.

Class: Sophomore

Height: 6-0

Weight: 220 pounds

Hometown: Horn Lake, Mississippi

High School: Horn Lake High School

Georgia Bulldogs linebacker Nakobe Dean enrolled early in Athens and had an outstanding freshman season, despite being part of a deep linebacking corps rotation. Dean finished 2019 with 25 total tackles and played in all 14 games.

These were pretty pedestrian numbers for Dean compared to his senior season of high school. As a senior Dean racked up 175 tackles, seven sacks, three interceptions, and scored nine touchdowns at running back. Dean helped Horn Lake High School win a 6A state championship as a senior.

Dean’s looking to major in Mechanical Engineering. He’s a versatile man both on and off the field. His versatility will be attractive to NFL teams down the road. For now, Dawg fans should enjoy his well-rounded play:

Nakobe Dean, Monty Rice, Channing Tindall, Trezmen Marshall, Rian Davis, and Mekhail Sherman will compete for playing time as inside linebackers. Dean is projected to fill in Tae Crowder’s spot.

Dean was considered to the top linebacker in his class. He’s living up to his billing as a five-star thus far.

UGA football player card: QB John Seter

Georgia Bulldogs junior quarterback John Seter has considered transferring from the University of Georgia.

Class: Junior

Height: 6-3

Weight: 180 pounds

Hometown: Athens, Georgia

High School: Lovejoy High School

Georgia Bulldogs junior quarterback John Seter has considered transferring from the University of Georgia, but he’s currently on the roster. Seter is a junior, but has graduated from UGA and has two years left of eligibility:

Seter hasn’t thrown a pass during game action. He completed one pass in 2019’s G-Day game, but that’s all. Seter redshirted as a walk-on in 2017, then played scout team in 2018.

Seter also played hockey and lacrosse in high school. Chris Seter, his dad, played college basketball for the Michigan Wolverines.

According to 247sports, Seter is not in the portal at the moment. If he stays in Athens, his hometown, then he may compete for the back-up quarterback position.

Fun fact: there are currently three #16’s on Georgia’s online roster at the moment.

UGA football player card: WR Demetris Robertson

Demetris Robertson came out of high school as a five-star recruit. He transferred to Georgia from California.

Demetris Robertson, Wide Receiver (#16):

Class: Senior

Height: 6-0

Weight: 190 pounds

Hometown: Savannah, Georgia

High School: Savannah Christian

Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver Demetris Robertson came out of high school as an elite five-star recruit according to most sources. He elected to attend California, where he was spectacular in 2016.

In fact, as a true freshman at Cal, Robertson broke DeSean Jackson’s freshman receiving yards record and Keenan Allen’s receptions record. Robertson caught 50 passes for 767 yards and scored seven touchdowns. These remain the best marks of his career.

During his sophomore season, Robertson suffered a season ending lower body injury. He played in two games before medically redshirting, then transferring to the University of Georgia. Robertson was immediately eligible at Georgia in 2018, where he played in nine games where he rushed for 109 yards on four carries.

Robertson saw more playing time last season, but didn’t match his production at Cal. He hauled in 30 passes for 333 yards and scored three TDs in 2019.

He’s a break-out candidate to watch in 2020, especially with Dominick Blaylock’s torn ACL. He’s expected to start at wide receiver opposite George Pickens. He’ll contribute to the run game as well.

Robertson looks quite difference in a California Golden Bears’ jersey:
