The Georgia Bulldogs lose and gain a significant amount of talent each offseason via the transfer portal.The transfer portal has been very active this offseason.

The 2020 college football season did not count against player eligibility, so seniors can return for another season. Transfers are immediately eligible to play at their new school.

The University of Georgia gained a star player from the portal last season in quarterback JT Daniels. Who will the Dawgs get this season? Notable recent transfers additions for Georgia include Lawrence Cager, Demetris Robertson, and Tre’ McKitty.

Georgia has seen many more players leave the program than transfer to it thus far this offseason. That being said, Kirby Smart is not afraid to utilize the NCAA transfer portal to add talent.

Former Georgia Bulldogs junior quarterback John Seter is transferring to the SMU Mustangs

Former Georgia Bulldogs junior quarterback John Seter is transferring to the SMU Mustangs. Seter is a junior, who has graduated from UGA and has two years left of eligibility.

John Seter will be immediately eligible for the Mustangs.

Seter hasn’t thrown a pass during game action yet in his career. He completed one pass in 2019’s G-Day game, but that’s all. Seter redshirted as a walk-on in 2017, then played scout team in 2018 at Georgia.

He will look to earn more playing time at SMU. Seter is from Athens, Georgia, and attended Lovejoy High School. Seter is 6-foot-3 and weighs 180 pounds.

Seter also played hockey and lacrosse in high school. Chris Seter, his dad, played college basketball for the Michigan Wolverines.

We wish him luck at SMU. He’s one of several Georgia Bulldog walk-ons who are transferring this offseason.
