Earl Thomas: selected 14th overall by the Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks found one of their cornerstones of the Legion of Boom in 2010 when they chose Earl Thomas. He helped lead a defense that won a Super Bowl for the first time in franchise history. The safety of the decade was a huge acquisition for that team. Thomas finished his Seattle career with six Pro Bowl selections, three first-team All Pro and two second team All-Pro honors. He moved to the Baltimore Ravens prior to the 2019 season.
The 2009 consensus All-American has had quite the NFL career that isn’t over just yet. A member of the 2010’s All-Decade team has racked up 713 career tackles, 72 passes defended, 30 interceptions, 11 forced fumbles and three defensive touchdowns. No telling how long Thomas might go as he enters his age 31 season in 2020.
