Cedric Benson: selected 4th overall by the Chicago Bears

The late Cedric Benson had one of the best rushing careers at the University of Texas. He finished with 5,540 yards which is second only to Ricky Williams. His 2004 season that earned him 2004 ESPN All-American player of the year, fourth best in school history. His play earned him a top five draft selection.

Benson spent the first three seasons in Chicago before moving to Cincinnati from 2008-2011. His final year in the NFL came in 2012 with the Green Bay Packers. After three lackluster seasons for the Bears, Benson had his best of his career with the Bengals. He finished with 6,017 yards and 32 touchdowns.

Derrick Johnson: selected 15th overall by the Kansas City Chiefs

One of the best linebackers to play at Texas, Johnson won many accolades while wearing burnt orange. He was named a consensus All-American in 2003 and 2004 while taking home the Bronko Nagurski and Dick Butkus Awards. He would head to the NFL where he would play for two teams, but most of it happened for the Chiefs.

Johnson enjoyed a NFL career that stretched from 2005 to 2018. During that time he accumulated 955 solo tackles, 27.5 sacks, 14 interceptions and eight fumble recoveries. Signed with Oakland in 2018 but played just six games and retired after the season. He finished with four Pro Bowl selections, first team All-Pro (2011) and second team All-Pro (2015).
